Anyways, parking may be limited but there's always a few leaving so that is good! The USPS office here is pretty efficient with how they operate: send "it" and exit. It's pretty self explanatory. I entered with my lovely HI collection of Starbucks cups to ship off (the SB HI COLLECTION IS BEAUTIFUL BTW) and I think her name was Sierra who helped me at her window. I literally had nothing prepared because i planned to just bring those boxes into the car and pack them right away. I was going to take 2 brown boxes but before leaving with them so i can pack my stuff, an employee tells me that it can't go outside but it needs to be paid first... i guess the brown packing boxes here are of charge & then you have to pay AGAIN for the total weight of your items. Sierra explained to me about the differences between the flat rate boxes and the brown shipping boxes. Flat rate boxes, the ones that are red and white, is free of charge and you can take it outside with you. They will only charge for the rate of the box being that it can only hold up to 70 pounds ! Great deal. Sierra recommended a large and medium for the cups because and in total, it costed about $38 which i think is worth it for about 15 to 20 pounds total. She was very helpful and even lended me packaging tape. She said that a customer left it and i did so too... just in case if anyone else would need to borrow some! A customer to the next window with her daughter overheard me say "keep the tape, I'm sure someone else will need it in case" and she commended about it hehe. I was at home no one came knocking on door...security in lobby 24/7...Next day Monday I drove over to the post office HOPING I can pick up my delivery No Pickup Slip left in my mailbox from yesterday. I explained to the female at post office counter she checked my ID and delivery tracking # she went in the back came out says "nothing here" So I went drive to post office for nothing. So I called the post office around 11am no answer of course had option to leave voice msg so I did...someone called from postmoffice 12pm so I explained what happened yesterday and this morning, he then said I will have supervisor call u and he confirm my call back number. Monday afternoon 5pm No Postal Supervisor Called and nownthey are closed for the day. I met ipnwoth postal delivery person on the.lobby Monday after returning from post office but she was clueless lost in space lol. I asked the postal delivery person on Monday "do u have my delivery?" and she did not know what i was talking... and I gave once more tracking # and she texted it to postal supervisor. So these two postal text and informed the postal supervisor. No Response from Postal Supervisor. Now DAY 3 from delivery date with out My Delivery!

Each and everyday I'm starting to appreciate my little neighborhood and how productive and efficient this spot is instead of going all the way to Downtown or Ala Moana or Kalihi this is my favorite spot to get my questions answered and packages delivered :)

I went in and asked if they had the new triangular international Postcrossing stamps. They did. The mail clerk hand-canceled each of my postcards and we had a conversation about San Francisco. I loved the beautiful interior and the old ornate PO Boxes that ringed the perimeter of the office. It is in the King David Kalakaua Building and was built in 1931. This place was one of the highlights of my visit to Honolulu.

All of the employees here have always been really helpful with any questions I've had. I remember once I had a medium flat rate priority mail box I was sending out and the worker mentioned since it was pretty light, it would be cheaper to send it in my own box by weight. Very nice of him to suggest that. Parking around the area is metered only and there's a lot across of merchant street between merchant and king. The can be full midday but a lot of parkers are in and out of there fast. The one thing I do want to mention for those that frequent this location is that if you drop off "Click N Ship" items here, the drop off window now opens at 0930, not 0900 like before.

Though it's very convenient I really wished that they have the self service kiosk outside as it just doesn't make any sense to have it inside while it's open doesn't do it any justice. Everything is locked up so you need to grab all the boxes and envelops to pack all your items as I searched and searched for a post office but now many are locked up unless you have the code to enter I guess for PO Box holders only. Honolulu locations do close quite early for folks like me how work during the day is the biggest challenge to get there in time to grab my necessities though still won't make it to ship it since everything is locked up once they're closed. Nevertheless love this location but parking is the biggest challenge so it's a love hate relationship I have by getting things shipped on time. Thank you!

Yes, their hours of operation are limited. But at 2:00 pm, there is one car parked outside, a calm, cool environment inside, plenty of supplies, counter space to wrap/tape your box (with donated leftover tape available!), and a voice from the back letting you know he'll be right with you! I had the time to build a couple of boxes to see which one my items would fit in for the one price (best deal in town). Had a nice conversation with USPS professional at the counter, and bought some of the last Christmas themed stamps he had available. What a nice experience!

However, the hours are very limited (Mondays thru Fridays from 1pm to 4pm), which my be a challenge for some people. Keep in mind you do need base access to get to this facility. I went in on a Thursday about an hour after opening and there was one customer in front of me. That customer had some simple questions which the clerk was able to help her with. When it was my time to get service, the clerk welcomed me and took my package which I had in a self-packaging parcel. She notified me that since is was my own package and it was fairly heavy, it would cost more than if it were in a flat rate box. She even took the time to weigh my package and showed me how much it would cost. After learning the cost, I told her that I would take a flat rate box, repackage my items, and return since I did not have any tape. The US Post Office typically sells tape. Fortunately, the clerk informed me that there was tape available that previous patrons had donated (this was much appreciated cause who wants to buy a whole roll of tape for one package when you have tape at home?)! The clerk showed me the tape, took me to the counter where I can repackage my items, and physically helped me stuffing my items in the flat rate box. What I love about flat rate boxes is IF IT FITS, IT SHIPS! After all my items were snuggly in the flat rate box and relabeled, she rung me up and it was legit $12 dollars cheaper that what I would have paid with my own packaging! So, if you have items that you need to ship and you can fit them into a flat rate box, do so to save some money!

Mailing a letter in Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. This Post Office is in an unusual place... Under the freeway! Yes! Really! I guess they're making good use of the space. The parking lot is right there; and there are more spaces across the street! My visit was on a Thursday afternoon. I was on my way home when I realized that I had an envelope to mail. I took the far left lane and passed everyone waiting in traffic in the next lane. Sorry! Parking was free and easy! I could have stayed in the car and dropped my envelope in the curbside receptacle at the exit, but i wanted to go in and look around. The self-service kiosk comes in handy when you are the Do It Yourself kind of person or come after hours. There were free boxes and envelopes in the corner - ready for mailing! The greeting cards and office supplies were further inside of this post office. Overall, this post office is practical, clean, and spacious. It gets the job done!

Rabbit Rabbit will be closing on 12.20.25, but Kaiten Sushi Ginza Onodera is still there. Note the unusual hours of this post office: Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 4pm. This is no ordinary post office…read more First off, it's not easy to find. Not by a longshot. It's not like you can put the address, 438 Hobron Ln in Waze and just drive right on over. That will only get you to beautiful Eaton Square. When they describe the location of this branch is in Eaton Square, they mean way up in there. You can't even see the office from the street. You need to find parking, and walk up into the complex. Way up. I had no idea where I was going, as it was my first visit to Eaton Square. To find the place, I figured I needed to think like I worked for the Postal Service. OK, so if I was Postal Service management, where would I locate this branch? I'd put it somewhere where no one could find it, that's where. Some place so rediculously remote, there's no way annoying customers could discover the location. Damn right! In the center of the square I spotted some stairs, but I couldn't tell where they went. Yes! That's got to be the way, I thought. Stairs are enough of an impediment to stop plenty of customers. I trudged up the stairs, and around a corner I noticed an indoor koi pond and fountain. Above the fountain there was a little mezzanine. I couldn't believe it, I had found the crazy Eaton Square Post office. There was one window open and a customer was being helped. I enjoyed the relaxing sound of the fountain and passed the time watching the koi swim around. I was very impressed with the customer service at this branch. The employee was helpful and efficient. A very small post office which serves your basic postal needs. You can purchase stamps, mail out Media Mail, First Class Mail, Priority Mail, Express Mail, and International Mail items. They have a small supply of "flat rate" Priority boxes inside the post office as well as "decorated" packaging that you can purchase. The post office itself can only fit about 7 people in line (comfortably) and it can get tight as people are filling out addresses or forms on the counter. During Christmas I've seen the line out the door (as expected with any post office) but since this one is small it makes it that much more busy. There is also a blue bin outside where you can drop off your letters and First Class packages (less than 16 oz) which will be picked up at the close of business. Hours: Mon-Fri: 10:00am-2:00pm. Sat-Sun: Closed. Even though the hours are limited, it's nice to have a post office inside the hospital... if you really need something mailed out and you're at work, this is a great convenience! Staff is friendly and the line usually moves quickly. (so long as no one holds it up!)
