I went in today to send a package to England. The girl behind the counter had to ask if this was in the UK. I was shocked! However my experience only got worse when she argued with me about the content of my items being legal to ship. First of all, I'm from the UK and know what I can and can't send. I told her I've lived here since 1981 and she told me "I know". How could she possibly know, she's not even that old. Second I had everything secured in a shopping bag and she tried to rip it open to see "everything". When I told her not to do that she started arguing with me. I reminded her, I'm the customer but her attitude made me gather my belongings and leave. I've been using this store for years and never experienced customer service like this. I'm going to package the items myself and use the good old USPS. Won't ever go back to this UPS store. read more

The blonde girl helping me was pretty rude. Maybe she just didn't feel good since she was coughing like crazy and sniffling and snorting her snot. I felt so gross after leaving that store. read more

Response to UPS store 5287 Management on 06/27/2022. I accept your apology. But, deception, however, is not acceptable. Your store took the box for delivery, weighed the box, placed a shipment label on the box, and then charged a fee for the shipment. It is wrong to pretend to inspect the parcel for delivery. It is wrong to throw away the items. It is wrong not to allow the option for the paying customer to pick up damaged items within a designated amount of time. I was not aware that the UPS store has no control over customer packages left in their custody after paying for UPS services. (I would have accepted retaping or reboxing even.) read more

One of the features that I chose the UPS store for was the ability to call ahead to see if there was any mail in my box. Knowing this saves me time in driving down to an empty box and prevents me from wasting time and allowing me to attend to my clients. There is a new staff that seems to have a problem with picking up the phone. I've called on several occasions to see if I have mail and no one picks up the phone. When I arrived I asked was anybody answering the phone I was told the staff didn't answer because it was busy when I called. On three occasions I stood in front of the store and saw that the store was empty and I called from outside while looking in and watched as the staff sat in the back while the phone went unanswered. I asked the manager why they didn't answer the phone? I was told the usual story they were busy with customers when I called. I explained that I just called while standing outside to which they had no real acceptable response. I guess what I saw three times with my own eyes was a mirage. This is not good business practice. I had fingerprinting done. One card was kind of light so I went in to ask if I could redo the card. The old crabby menopausal which works behind the counter started giving me a lecture trying to make it sound like it was my fault and she wasn't going to do it over and over and over. I just asked for one car to be redone. She also works at the Fleming Island store. I'll never go to either of those stores ever again read more

It was interesting to watch an older gentleman customer help a young employee (female; dark brown, long, straight hair) package an item and watch her expressionless face. She didn't smile at him or thank him for helping her do her job. The line continued to back up further while the other two girls were both on cell phones. No one acknowledged the waiting customers. Perhaps UPS shouldn't have three clueless, unfriendly (they look like they're 18 years old with a 50 year old chip on their shoulders) kids running the store. read more

I love to get in and out and that's exactly what I got when I went here. The staff is very friendly and professional. I was acknowledged the moment I walked in and updated while I waited to be seen. I went in to get fingerprinting and a document notarized. There were two people ahead of me and I still managed to be waiting on and both transactions completed in less than 15 minutes. The only thing that was uncool was $10 for a notary! In Illinois this is a $3 service. Anyway, when in Rome... **SHRUGS** read more

Front staff was great and treated me with utmost respect and I felt valued as a costumer (5 stars) on previous interactions. But that aside for management -4 stars. My guess is that the manager (could have probably been the franchise owner) earns 1 of them just so that I can publish a review. The basics of bad customer service where outlined in this shop. From the nothing I can do, to the you are wrong and must have done it wrong, or why don't you go to the local US Postal Service office down the street they usually deal with our mail issues and they should clear it up for you (must not be the first person asking about this issue), or no.. that was in the contract, you did not read correctly, finally with the strong standing posture of a bouncer at a concert event, there is nothing I can do because the system just does not allow any changes. Really? to: I clearly see you had an issue but I can't help you and again the contract you signed says it. I had a mailbox for a just over a week, received no mail, got no notifications from the shop and could not use this as my address for anything except to pay their fees. I am brand new to this area and hopefully expected to be a customer for years to come for my shipping and receiving needs. With the high cost of customer acquisition and retention, combined with the amount of competition there is I can't believe the ability of this person to survive as a bussiness manager... for me I would gladly drive thru traffic at rush hour and many more miles of Red lights thru Orange Park than to ever spend any money to allow this shop to make a profit. The sad part is that if I was de-valued that way, I can't even imagine the way he treats his staff. So sad for them! read more

I receive all my mail here and I love the personalized service! Unfortunately I cannot receive mail to my home address as I don't trust the mail delivery here as there's been too many issues. Kudos to all the employees at the UPS Store. read more
