I needed to mail a package so left a little early to stop by my local post office. This is my first time there since moving. I have to say, I greatly miss my old post office. They are open 8:30-5. For most people who work, this ensures they will open after one leaves for work and be closed before one returns. I was hopeful to just use the self service machines for my needs, but they do not have any at this location. I was not the only one inconvenienced by this as two other people came in at the same time I did and found it quite absurd that the post office isn't open or doesn't have services at convenient times. It is not a shock that the postal service is doing so bad. They still charge rates that are really low for the service they provide, this is why I go there over UPS or FedEx. But when people can not even access the services, that can not be helping an already bad situation. Bring back the self service machines, saves on labor and provides 24 hour access. read more

There's a first for everything: just filed a complaint to the office of the inspector general. I fear retaliation for simply wanting to find a priority package, where the usps tracking specifically states it was out for delivery, never redacted, just local reps saying that its' impossible and that I am wrong; despite referencing their screens in their system. They are the worst from the bottom to the top of the totem pole, it seemed like it took the worker nearly an hour for her to compete the application for a PO box I purchased rental of for three months. It was paid for by me but also unusable by me. When I went in to check the box, the key would not work. When I went in to discuss, they told me I had no box and no app on file, when I took my proof in to show them taking the funds out of my account to pay for it,they threatened to call the police on me. I never got a dime of my money back, I finally had to give up because when I complained to the main office, they said there was nothing they could do about it. how can you not help in loosing all faith in govrxxxxxnt when you cant trust anyone in it. There's been multiple days where I scheduled a pick up order and it never was picked it up. I thought it was just because I didn't add my apartment number to the shipping label. they would send the email saying it was successfully picked it up, but it was not even when I fix the shipping label to my apartment number it's still didn't come. I had to call them to see where the carrier is at. They said it was on its way an hour later. I got a message saying it was successfully picked it up and I noticed my package was gone. So I assumed that they picked it up but it never gotten shipped out. I called them multiple times they said they don't do USP tracking and they assumed that. I didn't know what I was talking about saying if I requested a pick up it's not gonna happen today but the day after I've done this before multiple times not at this location and it wasn't that hard to be picked up. I didn't have to make multiple pick up request just so my package can be up when it was picked up and I got an email about my successful package request pick up and it took 2 to 3 days for it to be shipped out not a whole week. After all of this, I don't know where my package is at. I don't know if it was stolen. I had it sitting out for a couple hours every single day to wait for it to be picked up and never got picked up. But suddenly that day it got stolen when I made the call to the lady asking where the carrier was at. I don't know if they have the packages or if somebody finally stole it not to blame them for what happened to my package, maybe somebody did stole it. But I feel like the emails were a miscommunication saying it we successfully completed your package pick up and talking to the people on the phone, they were no help they made me felt like I was stupid like I didn't know what I was talking about, but I knew how it worked. These package pick ups were supposed to be my sales and I lost my sales which upset me and I couldn't fix it and the people that are supposed to pick up my packages or help me pick up my packages. They didn't help me either. read more

Worst place ever, I wish there was lower than 1 star to give. I've moved out to my new apartment in October 2024 and I was told to get my mail keys from this place, now it's march 2025 they still tell me we will call you once we get it . This place is so rotten, they should straight shut it down. I have had almost weekly to redeliver mail to correct address, and have not received important documents and tax related paper work. they even sent my neighbors paycheck to me today. After many years of seeing 3 separate mail carriers per week, it's no wonder. for people trying to get an actual human on the phone, try 8163612047... but they usually let it ring, then take it off the hook... Came in while on my road trip across the country. The post office was very well stocked and clean. It was not busy at all when I arrived. I was shipping a larger sized picture frame and honestly did not know how to package it. Tae was very helpful and insightful. She went above and beyond to look for all the items I may have needed. She was such a great help! She was very kind and worked quickly but efficiently. Truly such an asset to the business. Definitely recommend this post office. read more

The neighborhood Facebook page is full of people complaining that their mail is not being delivered. It's been at least a couple months now that I get mail maybe two days out of six. The Informed Delivery service is only good for telling me what mail I should be getting but am not going to get. The South Troost Post Office appears to be incapable of doing its job. The supervisors are horrible, they (there is more then one) don't return phone calls they don't want to help resolve mail issues They are there for a paycheck and that's about it... I can't explain in words how bad the customer service experience is at the Troost post office, but I will try. The people that assist you, If I call it that, are rude and have a terrible attitude. This is the closest post office to me, but I will go out of my way to find a another post office that treats me with respect. read more

if there was a way for me to get the entire staff of this place fired I would do it. the drivers choose not to deliver my packages, yes they literally choose not to. "no access to mailbox" is the reasoning, when my mailbox is as clearly accessible as a mailbox could be? I have tried to understand a legitimate reason why they wouldn't deliver my packages but I just can't. when I try to go to this post office to receive my packages they tell me they don't have them. I'm also told that they will re-deliver the next day, this never happens, and I've had packages just fade out of existence apparently. I have lost money because of this and have to order everything to another address when I need something delivered. I'm not sure if the staff are stealing my packages or just genuinely incompetent? either way if you live near enough to this location that your packages come through here, good luck. And if anyone that works at this location happens to see this review, I hate you. read more

They are under staffed but all of the employees are great to work with and surprisingly have good attitudes while working in the conditions they are placed in. Chris goes above and beyond to happily help customers when you call in, that dude deserves a raise. read more

I called and spoke to Chris not sue if he was a clerk or postmaster. I called the office looking for a missing package. He took the tracking number put me on hold. He then came back and said I need to send the carrier a message can I get your phone number. I was expecting to hear back about the missing package. I didn't so i called him back at 4:30 same guy answers he recognized my voice and told me to be patient. Did tell me if he had any other news or if was even trying to find it. I know that this is bad service. Because I work the the post office and I have never had problems like this before. I really hope he learns to like his job. read more
