Worst USPS branch ever, employees suck at customer service, unhappy and absolutely rude, not all, but most of the people I interact and see are tired, stressed, probably low pay, hence the attitudes. I always have pick up scheduled but my packages were always left behind. Funny thing is the mail box are just right infront our house so everyday they will stop and drop mails for the neighborhood but always ignores my scheduled pick up packages. I didn't take my own tip advice not to come here on a Monday! Why? Because I forgot about it, and I had one of those pickup notices left on my door on a Saturday that I was not home to receive. So here I am on a Monday in a line with 10 in front of me, and it's not moved in the 15mins I've been here. Although somebody did come out and grab our notices, probably gonna get it all and save time? The other line where you get services is 20 people long and getting longer by the minute. And don't forget the self service kiosk ...that also has a line of 8 waiting. I try to avoid the PO at all costs, especially during the holidays. I usually print my shipping labels on usps.com using flat rate boxes and envelopes and also pay $1.25 to have stamps mailed to me(over 100 to justify shipping) only have to come here to drop off my boxes, although I could have them pick up, but I don't trust they will on time. And sometimes I have to come pick up my mail after being away because they don't deliver on the day I request to start again, and lastly when I get a notice for a pickup. I think the reason I came today was because, last week I came twice on a Thursday and Friday around 345p each time to drop off boxes, and there was not a line at all! I thought the PO was closed, but nope. So that's why I got a little sidetracked and didn't think about having to wait in line today. 35mins later.....I got my registered mail from Japan that required a signature and ID check.. The worker who earlier came to pick up our slips, just gathered the mail so that when we got up to the window she could just give it to us. I don't know if ever this postal situation will get better. I heard customers saying that this was the worst location, but I think all POs have their issues. I think what we want is faster efficient service, oh and with a smile like you love your job, and we aren't an inconvenience. read more

The degree of major malfunctions cascade into an F Troop like situation comedy that's only funny if you don't get your mail through this facility or its local carriers. Long lines await when your USPO mail delivery carrier flakes out and leaves you a nasty note in your condo mail box to pick up your own DAMNED mail at the U.S.P.O. Cuz he has had it with all the mail you get! The wait time to pick up the mail that their carrier should have delivered is well over 45 minutes on any Saturday morning or afternoon... The Postal Workers here are rude, inconsiderate and slovenly in appearance and work ethics... The more people waiting in line... The slower they move. It is unbelievably unnecessary torture just to pick up a package or your mail at this post office! Plus, despite being forced to wait in line for as long as 90 minutes, the USPO does not allow customers to use their bathroom facilities, or be permitted to sit or stand against a wall for support. You must be as uncomfortable as they can possibly make it while waiting insane amounts of time. No beverages or food are permitted during your marathon wait sessions either. read more

Worst post office in the country! I had a small, soft package (it had a child's t-shirt in it) with postage and label already attached. I was unable to put it in the outside boxes because they have something blocking anything larger than a small envelope from going in despite the boxes opening being much larger. I had to go inside where I found the box drop off flap locked shut and then had to wait in a long line just to drop off a package that already had postage! I almost never use the human part. Only the PO boxes. For that, it is great! 24 hour a day access, it is air conditioned, so if I drove the Miata in the heat of the day, I could chill at one of the tables. When it gets busy (like tax season) they park a special postal truck out front to take your mail. Never used that, but it seems smart. The drive up boxes are situated in such a way as to not interfere with post office traffic, too much. Access from the south is a bit sketchy if you try to pull in, though. Off Tenaya going northbound, oncoming left-turn traffic is a head-on affair: Lets play post office chicken! Anywho, it's a full service post office that has all the regular features: long lines, not enough clerks, horrible drivers in the parking lot. Placed a call to Red Rock Vista yesterday 3x due to a frozen lock cylinder on my mail box... After getting NO answer, Called the 800 number for USPS, answered in 5 minutes! Explained the situation & they advised to call my local Office. I explained I attempted that already & received no help or even an answer. The gentleman took my information & told me "You will be contacted shortly by someone from USPS". Today, I received a call from someone from USPS(Ted Rock) as he explained I would. The operator explained that "You need to bring down your lease agreement so we can follow through with your claim"... And hung up. I OWN my house! If I could I'd give a zero star review. I am disabled and need a service animal and since I'm not deaf or blind I get harassed by 1 employee and 2 managers because my dog is with me. I tried to get in early to send off my Christmas packages. I figured three weeks before I would beat most of the rush. Nope, I was wrong. The lines were long! Snaked around in the building and out the door. I expected to be there forever, but surprisingly the line moved pretty quickly. Nice PO with large, easy to enter parking lot. On a July weekday afternoon there were no lines. I just mailed a letter here to be sure it went into their mail routing ASAP. The worst post office I've been to by far. If you can avoid this location, do so! Long lines, but that's to be expected with any PO. And that's not even my gripe. It's the rude employees or I should say employee I encountered the day I visited. I came on a weekday to ship out a pkg. Easy peasy, right? I walked past the long line waiting to pick up packages, straight to another line where I waited 20+ minutes. Well when I got up to the counter, it was so awkward. I wasn't greeted with a "Hello" "Hi, sorry for the wait, how can I help you today". I literally wasn't greeted at all. The clerk said nothing to me. In fact, she even ignored me when I asked "How are you?" She just motioned for me to put my package on the scale. Then pointed to the screen for me to choose my postage. At first, I thought maybe she was disabled and unable to speak for some reason so I didn't want to be quick to rush judgement. But then as I was finishing up, she calls out "NEXT IN LINE!" So obviously she's able to speak, she's just blatantly rude to the customers. And with the way things are going for The Post Office (financially) you'd think they'd treat their customers better. It's totally my fault for waiting until the last minute to mail off packages for Christmas. The line was sooooooo long. I get it, busiest time of the year with procrastinators just like me rushing in to mail out last minute items. What I don't get is the lack of urgency by the employees behind the counter. Standing in the long line there wasn't much else to do but observe the employees behind the counter. Despite the line, it seemed as if they had a lackadaisical approach. I needed to get a mailbox key for my new rental home. I read the reviews, braced myself and did the deed. I interacted with 2 employees here. I was in the wrong line (my own fault) but was kindly redirected. As I was showing my lease to get the keys made, I pulled my mask down a bit so I could read because my glasses had steamed up. I was immediately chastised. I didn't choose to make a fuss and the deed was done within 5 minutes. I went back a week later and my keys were waiting for me. If I could give a zero star, I would but it's not letting me. The USPS mail delivery system located on Tenaya 89128 is a hit or miss. Last time they delivered my package somewhere and had the audacity to say on their website that my mail was delivered to me. Yesterday was another story. I was expecting a signature confirmation since the parcel is insured (expensive item $$$) by the sender. However, instead of delivering my package straight to my condo unit, the postman put an orange sticky note and placed it on a random car outside of the condominium. We were home! I'm currently disabled and was told to pick up the item from them. This incident occurred multiple times with signature confirmation. The postman will just put the package in a locked parcel. What's wrong with the postman? Pure laziness. You're getting paid and receive the best benefits from the State. Please perform your duties correctly. No one deserves to have their mail lost or stolen somewhere. No wonder some people prefer FedEx or UPS better. read more

I bypassed the line and went to the do-it yourself package meter and was out of here in a matter of minutes. I had an issue with a package that was sent to my previous address instead of my current one, so I submitted a case hoping that somehow I would be able to retrieve my package, but thought it would be unlikely...... I was so wrong! I quickly got a call from the awesome Kathleen letting me know that they were able to track down my package and it would be available for me to pick it up! How wonderful. When I lost my mail keys I expected the same emotionless customer service I normally get at post offices. However, I was greeted kindly by the clerk who was wearing adorable reindeer ears. I told her my predicament as this is the worst time to lose mail keys! She told me she was going to help me rush and fill out a form so she could run and catch our mail carrier before he left. She managed to get him just in time. She told me it would take 7-10 days. It cost $40 FYI but you get 3 keys. I was told to come the next day to pick up my mail. She was so pleasant and helpful. I came the next day and I was 3rd in line. During my wait, I watched as employees hustled to help the people ahead of me, helping two people at a time. I think even a Manager was helping, getting dirty and lifting things, running around in his nice clothes. Both of them had a helpful and kind demeanor. They worked with urgency to help the customers out. When it was my turn I got the same treatment. They didn't walk to me, they ran. The clerk came back to me with one package. She explained that sometimes it takes a day for the carrier to get the memo to bring our mail back. I understood and left, happy with the service I received. Two times now where the clerks were cheerful and nice. I was surprised lol. I came the next day again. I waited until the afternoon to pick up my mail to allow more time for the carrier. The clerk came back with a small envelope. At first I thought "isn't that too small to send in the mail?" Then I realized it was my mail keys! I laughed and said well I guess you guys like to play it safe and say it will take longer than it really does just in case...I finally told the clerk that day how much I appreciate her and all of the postal workers, especially during this time of year. I told her how this was my third visit and each time I had excellent customer service. I told her that they were doing a wonderful job. She was so happy to hear what I said because all they get are complaints...all day. She told me they had over 150,000 packages and mail to sort and send out. USPS sends postcards regarding a timeline when people should send gifts out. I am not one that followed that timeline. In fact, I am late in sending mail. However, I have received all my mail on time from friends, family and orders I've made. If you are pressed for time, Purchase your labels online! There is no excuse not to do so! The library has computers and printers if you don't have any at home. Need to weigh your mail? Get a scale. They are so cheap nowadays. Wanna save money? Bring your package to the grocery store and weigh it at the produce section. Jk or am I? I would rather go out of my way to the library than wait an hour in line. That's not usps's fault. Each person has different needs, and each person expects good service. So it will take time to cater to each individual! I firmly believe in the golden rule. If you don't know what it is, look it up. If you plan on going to the post office be prepared- print your labels so you can just drop it off and go about your day! No lines! Then thank them for all that they do. read more

Did the online change of address form, to start on 10/23. For some reason my mail has already (10/16) been redirected to my new address. The confirmation email clearly states the start date as 10/23. I guess the postman can't read??? Prior incident, for some unknown reason the lock smith changed my lock. When I went to find out why and get my new key I had to argue with the employees about who changes the locks. They kept telling me the HOA handles the locks when I knew for fact they (USPS) do. When the employees finally realized they take care of the locks, they told me 7-10 days. Well, 5 weeks later and I finally got the correct key to the correct mail box. I thought I was done with this place. I had nothing but problems. Long story short they could not resolve me receiving the previous box owners mail from when I opened the box in my name until I cancelled it last summer 2019(2 years). I just got my mail forwarding today, it's freaking February 2020 and the mail is dated September 2019. I'm hysterical right now, it's actually entertaining. If you are thinking of opening a P.O. Box here, I really encourage you to weigh other options.
