Unprofessional manager, had to cancel and go to another post office On March 4, I came in to activate a PO Box that I had prepaid online the day before. I didn't have PS Form 1093 printed because the online process indicates the office can print it for you to sign during activation. The clerk helping me was polite and tried to assist, but the manager, Carla, made the process unnecessarily difficult. She told me she "couldn't" print the form and insisted I had to fill everything out again, even though the box was already paid for and I had all required documentation (passport, business license, my wife's ID). What really bothered me was the way Carla handled it. She kept walking away while I was speaking, didn't acknowledge what I was saying, and then accused me of being rude when I was calmly asking why a simple print-and-sign step couldn't be done. Because of the unprofessional behavior and lack of basic customer service, I canceled my PO Box the same day and went to the Alhambra Post Office, where the process was handled properly. If management can't support a straightforward PO Box activation, customers end up driving farther just to get decent service. I am very disappointed with this post office. After requesting an address change, my mail was lost. Despite staying in contact with them, and waiting a month for my mail to be forwarded, the manager attempted to shift the blame to another post office and then onto me. They still haven't figured out what happened to my mail, and I was supposed to receive a call from the manager over three hours ago. This place is disorganized and lacks honesty, refusing to take responsibility for their mistakes and quickly pointing fingers. Horrible! So, I was sent a gift for Christmas that supposedly arrived 12/6. According to the tracking number my secret elf sent me it was delivered. My husband was home and he said nothing was delivered. We've been checking for 3 days nothing. I can't file a claim because I don't know the senders address. I wish I could give them no stars. They tell you they are open until 5 PM. So you leave work early, dash there, and get there at 4:50 to find the doors locked and a group of customers in the same boat as you. Lazy drivers. Wasting everyone's time. It's ridiculous how lazy they are to deliver a package when they've already driven TO THE ADDRESS. Leaving "sorry we missed you" notices without really checking if anyone is home is insane since I was home all day. I received a notice in the morning that my package was out for delivery, only to receive a text notification later that evening that they were unable to deliver said package due to "no authorized recipient available." That's funny cause I'm pretty sure I, as one of the homeowners, am definitely an authorized recipient. But of course, how would they know since no one came to the door. I was in the living room all day in view of the front door. There is no other entry door. I received no notification on my ring camera, my dog did not bark, and this notice was left in the mail box, stuck onto a stack of mail. It is honestly ridiculous to me that the driver spent their time filling out this notice when they could have simply come to the door to deliver the package. Sign says it opens at 9am but I'm guessing today 1/21/25 employees decided to open at 9:18am wondering what the actual hours are.

I've been coming here for years and I do mean years, probably since 2013 but more frequently (once a week) since 2019, the service has always been excellent. I've seen staff change and the customer service quality has never diminished. I've dropped off packages at other post offices and waited in line to request a drop off receipt only to be directed to the drop off window (so no receipt) or self service kiosk (where packages tend to get left for a bit). This staff at this post office has never turned me away/redirected me whether it was a small drop off or a scan form for 20+ packages. I don't normally write reviews but today there was an incident in which the staff acted very professional towards a truly arrogant entitled man baby and this is only one of the few incidents I've witnessed over the years. I just wanted to express to the staff that you are doing great! I've heard you stand firm but remain respectful and also redirect people even if they don't understand the limitations of post office staff versus online/phone customer service inquiries. You've remained kind when explaining the differences between all mail types and giving ETAs, you've remained understanding and patient when tackling language barriers (I know not all speak Spanish but the effort is appreciated, I've stepped in maybe twice when needed) or have a different representative assist. To the people that complain but won't bother to email or call customer service, please read up on what services can be done in person vs online, if not for the staff, for your own sake, it'd save you the self inflicted headache. "Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds....." While none of those things can stop the postmen from delivering a package, one thing can. The actual post office worker. Yes, that's right, this god awful excuse of a Post office can prevent something that neither rain, snow or sleet can. With their incompetents. Factor this in, in the last 2 months 6 packages I sent out with full and proper postage get returned to me two weeks later. Gee, was it just sitting there for a whole week and some change before you decided to return it? And what was it returned for? Improper postage? Nah. Well, one of them did and it had even more stamps on it than the cost to ship it! So I take it back and they find nothing wrong.. a couple of times. The problem is that a flat rate envelope was dropped off with proper postage but wasn't handed directly to the postal worker. Um, yes.. there's anthrax in my flat rate envelope that looks and feels like a book... So do they do anything or get any ID when they do get my package again? Nope So tell me, what was the difference in me dropping it off with other stamped packages? A terrible terrible way to deal with mail. And I entrust my bills to these morons? Lines are so long. Really really long. And why? There's no damn stamp machine in the lobby. How do you have a post office and NOT have a stamp machine in there for those who just want a stamp for their letter. But no, they don't have that. So everyone who wants one stamp gets in line with the rest of the folks who have a couple of packages to mail out. I guess if they compensated by having more workers at the windows.. Nope. They have at most two workers at a time. Workers are generally slow as all hell and with the amount of Money orders coming in and out (People sending money to family) the rate at which they turn customers is very very slow. This post office is a waste of a post office. I'm surprised it hasn't just fallen on top of itself with how bad it's run and managed. Lines are always so long and it's because the lack of workers running windows/computers and no alternative in getting stamps by way of a machine. read more

I seriously got the nicest attendant EVER. I didn't catch her name but she made time to help me pick the perfect envelope for what I was shipping out. We tried 3 different options, how much they weighed, how much they would cost, etc. No one has ever done that with me at a post office (and I go at least once a month to ship things). Usually they will just suggest you ship it out priority without helping you any further. I can hands down say I walked out of here happy to get a good deal on my shipment. read more

This old guy around his late 50s has such bad manners. I asked for a receipt to confirm that I return my package in. This old guy gave me the worst attitude and talked to me like I was a dumbass. He told me to take a picture of it because thats the only proof that he will give me. I don't know how they keep people like that. This is my post office! They are the hub for my block and let me tell you that I rarely have mail problems. I wish they had a drop box though. They don't have the lobby open which is understandable since the high homelessness rate and crazy people. But a local drop box would help. They suck at delivering packages too. First time using this location. Where do I begin. Gets 1 star for the relatively short lines and wait, otherwise a filthy location. I had to pick up a package that required a signature for delivery. The USPS carrier in my area, never made an attempt to actually deliver it to me, as I have video footage showing no one came to my door to ring the bell. I then made arrangements on-line for pick-up instead only to go in for pick up, AFTER confirmation it would be there today, to be told package was not on site. The number they give you to call, 323-262-0361, is useless and no one answers. After calling, 7 times today, I finally get a live man on the line who tells me he basically cant help me because the carriers are not back from their routes and he is getting ready to go home. He doesn't bother to ask for the tracking # to my package nor does he offer to look for it. He basically told me to call back another time and that "he only took my call out of the goodness of his heart". Im not sure what the disconnect here is. These are our tax dollars at work paying for these "fine customer services" ? Is this what we deserve? TRULY, there is no excuse. I understand COVID is placing a strain on us all...but a little phone customer service is simply just manners. read more

Worst customer service EVER. They don't answer their phone unless it's to immediately hang up on you. When I finally DROVE 25 MILES TO GET THERE, the rude Asian woman was the only one in the front. No customers, no other employees. I kindly offered a tracking number and my ID to check for a shipment that clearly says it's there at that USPS post office online, and has been delayed and sitting there for 3 days. She threw my ID back at me through the window slot and said "it's probably not even here. It'll just get redirected to the correct zip code in a few days, so just wait." Somehow she thought that giving me a forced smile would make all the bullshit attitude she just gave me acceptable. That was this past Monday, it is now Friday. Still at that location. I knocked on the service door really hard once he did that he came back out mad saying he was helping a customer in the back. He said he didn't shut the door I told him I have two other people that can say otherwise. This is a business that would want to take care of their customers not treat them as if they don't matter.
