We slid all of the required paperwork over, and she did her thing quickly for multiple applications. Within 15 minutes, we were raising our hands for the oath, and then she even gave our two kiddos lollipops. (Bonus: even without paying to expedite, we got the passports two weeks later.) read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. For the sake of this review, I'm giving one star -- and that's generous. On multiple occasions, I've had issues with my packages being delivered. My mailbox is located on the street and is too small to fit packages. Instead of delivering them to my door, as they are supposed to, the mail carriers leave my packages out on the sidewalk or the curb -- completely exposed and easy to steal. I've complained to this post office several times. Each time, they assured me the issue would be addressed and that notes would be left for the mail carrier. Despite these promises, the problem continued. In fact, I had to resort to ordering my mail through a different ZIP code just to avoid theft. Recently, I decided to give this postal service another chance -- and unfortunately, the same issue happened again. When I went to complain, I found out they had a new supervisor (they seem to switch supervisors constantly), and he was absolutely no help. His only suggestion was for me to leave a note in my mailbox -- which makes no sense, considering that mail and packages are still being mishandled regardless. Another frequent issue is misdelivered mail: my neighbors and I are constantly finding each other's mail and having to deliver it ourselves. It's frustrating and unacceptable. This post office is terrible. I will never use it again, and I'm genuinely afraid to order anything through USPS in this ZIP code. Save yourself the trouble -- don't come here. read more

Today, December 28th, 2022, at approximately 1:30pm, I not only received horrible service from the Post Office located on Crenshaw & 57th (5472 Crenshaw Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90043), but I was also insulted by the representative working at window # 4. While waiting patiently in line I observed and heard the representative give rude and snarky service to the individual before me, so much so that as the USPS Customer left the window the representative said, "I guess everyone coming in today is retarded, this is just the retarded Post Office today". For personal reasons that comment bothered me, it also bothered others in line with me. A lady in line said that's just how they treat customers here... I couldn't believe it. I asked to speak to the supervisor after that, and the supervisor suggested that I go online and file a complaint. I am just emotionally distressed. I can't believe that occurred. My wife even went to Window #4 because we were called by "Next", and when my wife attempted to confirm how much her pass port application was that we were mailing out the representative told my wife that the amount was wrong, just to turn around and tell her that the number was right. I had the absolute RUDEST Representative, ever. I said "Good morning!" she didn't respond. I told her what service I would be wanting, she rudely told me "We are not there yet," with the world's biggest attitude. Call me crazy, but a simple "Give me just one moment, please," would've sufficed. When I pointed out she didn't greet me and was being rude, she continued in a very generic tone, completely ignoring me once again. I was able to complete my transaction but boy, I surely was upset. I shared my sentiments with the MOD, she wrote them down, along with my info and said she would be handling it and apologized. TBH, I don't know whether or not she even cares. Maybe she does, but the vibe I got was that, that complaint was not going to be addressed with the Rude Rep. Honestly, this Rep really soured my experience with this particular USPS. I've been in here a lot at different times of the days and have had great experiences and potentially horrible experiences. I say potentially bc when I see that there's only one person working and a long line, I turn around and either wait to go at a different time or find another location. I know that some don't have the luxury of doing this so I understand some of the low ratings. I've had some great interactions w Sherry and the others; they're always grateful for our patience. The person who answers the phone is friendly and helpful, but one woman I encountered at the front counter is extremely rude and had an attitude when I handed her the redelivery slip with tracking number and I said clearly and audibly that I needed to pick up a package. Turns out the lady that was supposed to help us out today decided not to show up to work. Hate to join the chorus, but this place was awful. They dont answer phones. They are very lazy with packages. It took over a week and me driving to pick up a missed package because they ignored the signed release on the doortag and online redelivery requests. When they refused to answer their phones I spent 3 hours redialing to let it ring just to annoy them, yet still no one answered. UPDATE: 4/6/23 I went to pickup my mail form my PO Box, there was a yellow card in the box. When I took it to the window, same dude that cursed at me, sat there and didn't help me, I know he told his coworker that he wasn't going to, and I'm fine with that because I didn't want to deal with his funky attitude and I know how hard it is for him to actually do his job and get up from that seat. Anyway, there was a yellow card in my box that means I have a package to pick up, when the female worker came back, she said that the item had the wrong PO Box on it and someone put my number by mistake. I just said OK and left, but I know I have had a package there since March 27th that I have been getting reminders about to pick up by April 10th or it will be returned. I have to go back there tomorrow so lets see what happens when I ask for this package. UPDATE: 3/25/23 Today I went to pick up my packages from my PO Box as usual. I had a package that was marked delivered on 3/21/23, but when I came to pickup my packages on 3/22/23, I picked up other packages but this particular one wasn't given to me. I'm usually told that their behind on sorting packages so I decided I would wait a day or two... today was the day.. and when I was handed 2 packages, this package wasn't handed to me. I showed the black male that is usually at Window #1 my tracking showed that it was delivered on the 21st and could he check again to see if my package was there. He told me that because it said the package was delivered in/at mailbox that it wasn't there because it didn't say PO BOX. Now, I get packages almost every week and the tracking almost NEVER says it was delivered to a PO BOX. And I have plenty of tracking numbers to prove that. So I asked him to please check again, he rolled his eyes and got up like I was asking him to do something other than his job, he then mumbled the word "MF" and slowly went in the back. I told him there was no need to use curse words and of course he came back and said that my package wasn't there. Now. for context, the ONLY reason I asked him to look again, is because a few weeks prior I had the same issue of him giving me some of my packages and not all, and when he went to check again, he came back with a big box, so I'm wondering, how he could miss this box? I don't understand why there is so much attitude from these workers when we're just asking them to do the job that they're getting paid to do... nothing out of the ordinary. Another time I was picking up my mail from my PO Box and he was in that area, my daughter and I were talking about another box, below ours that was broken and we were laughing about how full our Box was, all of a sudden he makes a comment about me waiting too long to pick up my mail. She LIED and told the same chick in a hoodie that she came the day before (because it was delivered Friday morning) but the girl told her it wasn't there. Chick in a hoodie asked my daughter who helped her? Daughter says "some black girl" ... Chick in a hoodie comes back with the package and says, " I DON'T KNOW WHY THAT GIRL didn't see it, because it was sitting right there!" And hands the package to my daughter!! You ignorant bleep! YOU ARE THAT GIRL!! AND, she NEVER asked my daughter for ID or ANYTHING!! All my daughter did was give her the tracking number... nothing else!! WHY IS THIS OK? They were yelling at her and looking at her like if she was a criminal some sort. my mother is a foster parent due to the babies issues. She doesn't have certain documents. my mom tried explaining that to the clerks there they just kept yelling at her almost cussing at her, and just looking at her horribly. I am frustrated with the post office. I received birthday cards in March that had been opened when I received them (wasn't too concerned because I had received my presents electronically or via Amazon). Just this past week I received 4 Mother's Day cards and they were all open. I informed the senders that they had been opened and one of them stated that there was a monetary gift inside, but I didn't receive it because it was stolen somewhere between Fontana and my home in LA. If I could give this place -stars that would be accurate because would have to gain 10 to earn 1 star. Today this post office had 1 person at the window and there was a line of frustrated customers. They did not have the proper forms for certified mail or small priority mailing boxes. The regular mailing box I picked up had bad tape on it that didn't pull up properly, possibly due to dry rot or humidity. The young lady at the window was rude and unhelpful. If I could give this location zero stars I would. Worst location in this area. The employees are rude and inconsistent with how they operate. They rarely actually deliver packages, holding them hostage at the office and then either "can't locate" packages or take over 30 minutes to do so. What should be a quick 10 minute trip turns into 30-40 minutes of nonsense. It's a shame because it's mainly black people that work here and the unprofessionalism they exude is pitiful. First time was for one daughter, second time for second daughter. I come to this post office only when I have to and that's usually just to drop off mail! I honestly am not a fan of it. Not that the post office is ever that cool of a place, this one is just always super crowded and loaded up with some of the rudest people. Worst experience ever at a post office. The employees I had the unfortunate luck to encounter, were the most unprofessional people I have ever delt with at a government entity. I was under the impression that they were federal employees but I have gotten much better service at McDonald's by far. The USPS website States they do walk ins for passports, but I found out while there, that only applies if clerk SHERRY DANA feels that she is not too busy or that she has too much work. My wife, kids and i waited in line for a service the website says they provide and when we reached the window, Dana says " well, we are busy so we won't be able to help you with that today." Without asking a manager or anyone, I didn't know a clerk anywhere had the authority to make policy on the spot. I guess that's the case here. I explained to her that the website said they accept walk ins and she stated "well it's wrong, we don't." I won't go into the whole debacle but long story short, she refused to get a manager and refused to provide her name and started yelling as if she were at a park somewhere not her place of business. She finally gets a "Supervisor" Prince Mosley. This man was a bit more polite, and that definitely isn't saying much after dealing with Ms. Dana. He was unhelpful my family and I could here his clerk yelling at him in the back on why they shouldn't help us, then he comes out to explain why they won't be helping us and takes a call while speaking to us to order " some tacos". These folks were truly the most unprofessional people and i feel sad for them. They truly fit the stereotype of postal workers and it's unfortunate because where we ended up getting our passports, the clerk was very polite and helpful. Our experience seemed like it was racially charged on their end. I don't know if the tables were turned and I worked there and didn't help Ms. Dana, which is African American and so is Mr. Mosley, if I wouldn't be on the news saying I was refused service because I was of a different race. Shame on these workers. At work you are supposed to work, not only work when you feel like doing work. It was a great lesson to my children on how not to treat others and how to strive to be successful so you get a job or career you love and not be unhappy at one that you don't. read more

Don't trust this place to drop off packages! I have a small online business and I drop off 6-10 envelope packages A WEEK. I've stood in line before to get the envelopes scanned and they REFUSE to scan them because they are very "Busy" and I get asked to leave them on the side, through the glass door. It just so happens that when I leave my packages on the side, they don't all get scanned! (Someone steals them) I have also dropped them off in the entrance through the "wall" drop off and the same thing happens, not all packages get scanned! My customers do not receive their packages!
