Ever hear of a US Post Office without mailboxes? Up until earlier this year, this one did not have a mail box outside . They used to have mailboxes in the back as well as at the front /side street. One day they all vanished. First it was the boxes in the rear. Then the ones in the front (which back in the day used to be on the side, 39th st). Whatever their reason as to why they removed them, I'm glad they replaced them. They've removed all the corner boxes that used to be within walking distance within a 2 mile radius so now you have to drive or take a bus just to mail a damn letter. What an inconvenience for people that must walk to their destinations, like my mom. The boxes are no longer the usual "pull the lever & drop your mail in kinds. These ones have nothing to pull open. They are built like a tank & have a thin slit opening that only standard flat 1st class envelopes will fit. Anything larger will have to be dropped off inside. Going inside & dealing with a disgruntled USPS employee is another story. I'll just say "ditto" to all the previous negative reviews, & leave it at that. Otherwise my review will need to be downloaded lol I will say this, those postal employees better start smiling & act like they enjoy helping their customers because they will be replaced by machines some day soon & frankly, I think we might all prefer THAT! read more

This has to be the WORST post office ever! Every time I go here the service is terrible. One employee was actually talking on her cell phone and helping customers at the same time. The others worker..and of course there's always one or two at the window, acted as if she didn't want to help me pick up my certified letter. You guys need to do better, but it seems like this post office could care less. read more

The worst post office I've ever had the misfortune of having. They have lost 6 large packages of mine, and they're postmen apparently can't read because they keep giving people the wrong mail. The wish the US Post Office was just taken over by a UPS they at least can do their job right. read more

The USPS on Vermont over by USC is a mess!!! I avoid it and come here to the Crenshaw location. Just had Damon and he may be the sweetest post man ever! He took care of me in no time at all and had the most kind disposition. There is another woman who works there often with a little black bob haircut. I didn't get her name, but she's a doll too! Easily worth the extra drive for the great customer service! Thanks for being wonderful USPS Crenshaw!!! I'll see you again for all my mail needs! read more

Visited my neighborhood post office at 1p on a Saturday THE DAY before Mother's Day. Everything was moving along beautifully and fast and SHEILA was just awesome. A bright smile and helpful. Generally speaking, I expect the worst from Post Offices (the ones in DTLA are abominable!) so having such a streamlined experience TOPPED OFF with Sheila's fantastic customer service, I had to drop a quick line of appreciation. read more

The old man working the lobby does not know how to manage upset customers. I witnessed him speaking to another customer in a condescending tone that USPS does not provide clear tape for personal packaging. Saying that the Postal Office wouldn't make any money.. He should have said we apologize, but USPS does not provide courtesy clear tape for customers. Period. Anyways, I needed stamps and wanted a different design besides Flags because he claimed he didn't have any other. The more I observed his cart, he had 1 book of hearts, which I was willing to purchase but he said he was using it for single stamp sales. Mind u the stamp sheet was yet to be cut. Not sure as to why he couldn't just request the other books from the Clerks behind the counter. I know books are not accounted for. Just ask what the customer needs and get the Line moving. I work for USPS and know how it works. I felt I didn't need to say I'm a USPS employee, myself. Otherwise, Clerks behind the counter are very nice. read more

Live in the neighborhood. Had to send a package to Hong Kong asap. The clerk was friendly and helped me fill out the correct form. Not once did I get a "surly" attitude. This area may not be "folks" cup of tea but it is appreciated since the small post office at Crenshaw Mall has been closed. P.S. I didn't meet any Reggae/Rasta looking guy selling incense/oils. However, there is a incense/oil shop a few stores down. Oh, the area is clean, not ghetto. Come on. read more

this post office location has the most immature, disrespectful, unprofessional supervisor whom feels entitled because he has the title "supervisor". staff does not know what they are talking about. evidently its because they are under the supervision of a child. i do not even live in this area therefore i would have loved to go to a usps closer to home but unfortunately i am not lucky enough & have to deal with incompetence. the supervisor prince was nothing close to that. a shame to have a young black man in a position where he could help politely and encourage and reassure customers that they will do their job. yet he steps over boundaries, is condesending and takes his title to the head. what a waste! read more
