I explained to her what I needed and she handed me an address form to fill out and pointed to the many envelopes in the corner. She literally sat there and watched me fill out the wrong envelope, I brought it to her and she said that's the wrong one while still proceeding to point to the many envelopes in the corner. Hello! Do your job and perhaps help a customer if you see they need a little assistance while mailing off important documents! I understand ppl have bad days but she seemed like she genuinely hates her job and interacting with ppl. Even though she was blatantly rude and had an attitude I still said thank you once my transaction was completed and she was completely silent...Ghetto! The 2 complaints I have about this location are:…read more 1) There is always only 1 person servicing the 3 available windows, so if the person ahead of you has a time consuming shipment you could be stuck waiting for 20 minutes or more. 2) I have gone several times during normal business hours and the office is randomly closed for lunch. The lunch hours aren't consistent so there is a chance that if you show up between 12pm - 3pm, they could be closed. Today I went around 3:00pm and they were closed. There was not even a note on the door indicating that they would return soon. I continue to go here because its close to my house. They really need to have a backup for the attendant on duty.

As for the other two postal clerks working the same shift (whose names I wish I'd noted--one may have been "Clerk 29"), they get **ZERO** stars. They were rude and snapped at me when I explained that the USPS online system indicated that postal staff would print the required form at the post office if I couldn't print it myself (not sure why a printout is required anyway given that my information was in the USPS online system, but that's a rant for another time). They also snapped at me because one of the documents I was presenting was not acceptable. The overall interaction felt hostile, like they were looking for a fight rather than helping a customer. I have empathy for employees who are tired and ready to clock out. But when this kind of behavior happens, it creates an unsafe environment for everyone. After working several government-level jobs, I also know that many employees stay in roles they don't enjoy because it's hard to leave (limited alternatives), and/or because union protections can make it difficult to hold people accountable--even when performance is not at the level it should be. No text, email, call, nothing. Two other people in the same boat. For something relatively time sensitive that effectively requires an appointment, how do you cancel appointments with no notice. The ONLY worker at the location, with a line out the door said someone was supposed to notify everyone, but she didn't know who. It's dirty, old, slow and the level of incompetence as there is no risk to employment is through the roof.
