It isn't difficult to get to and while there is usually a line I don't usually have to wait long. Let's keep it real: old people use the post office and they're not playing on their phones. The thing I like most about this post office is that the employees are friendly. They also at least pretend to share my enthusiasm for postage.

The clerk was nice enough to help me out - no lie my total was $100. I had a few packages. Of course the store filled up within 1 min of me going to the counter. Yes I was crazy embarrassed. The process should've been simple--scan the QR code, print the label, and send the package--but the kiosk made it way more complicated than it needed to be. The machine was extremely finicky. It wasn't properly reading my QR code, and the screen kept lagging and showing things out of sync with what I was actually doing. It felt like it was processing actions in the background, but not displaying them correctly, which caused me to press extra buttons just trying to get it to respond. That only made things worse--the screen started freezing, glitching, and becoming even more delayed. What should have taken maybe a minute or two ended up taking twice as long, which was really frustrating for something so simple. Another customer even stepped aside to let me go ahead, which I appreciated, but she also mentioned she had been having issues with the kiosk taking a long time too. So it definitely wasn't just me.

It was super busy but the employees had everything under control. There were several customers for whom English was a second language who sometimes struggled to communicate. There was a woman with a rambunctious child there for services. The staff helped each of us with the same friendliness and respect. I very much appreciated the kindness and patience exhibited toward marginalized community members from a government facility. A woman named Becky, I believe, waited on me. She was efficient and informative. I didn't expect to be able to actually get my picture for my passport card taken an application submitted today, but once she realized I had brought proper documentation, Becky let me know I had time to fill out the papers and get it done before the 3pm cut off time. The process was quick and very organized. It was all women working as far as I could see and these ladies had it together! They had positive attitudes with all of the customers and with one another. They gave the impression that they enjoyed their jobs. I will definitely go back to this location when I need USPS services again.

The exterior is futuristic, definitely not giving the vibes of a stuffy library. And the kids space really impressed me. The shelves are shorter, easier for little hands to grab books and there are all sorts of kid-size reading nooks to climb into. That is one thing that really stood out -- smaller spaces carved into the large indoor area of this library. Even with a horde of children running around, I saw several adults able to find spots to quietly enjoy a book. Parking may be a bit of a challenge for big events; we had to park across the street at the Target. But on normal days I bet the lot is easy to access. What a jewel of a space!

You call and Uber they can tell you were that car is and when it will be to you. You order an item from Amazon and it is there, sometimes, by the end of the day. I get images of my mail for the USPS every day. At no point did anyone at FedEx have any idea (and they still don't) where my package was or is right now and to be honest, no one was particularly concerned about it despite the high stakes on my end. EXTREMELY poor communication. Read on if you want my full experience. I attempted to send a package via FedEx. My daughter needed her passport to get hired for her internship in Chicago. My daughter has to have her passport to complete her I-9 or she will lose her internship and we have a lease on an apt in Chicago for the summer. She is adopted from China, she does not have a US birth certificate. This is the only proof of citizenship we have. Her social security card cannot be used. I paid $60 for FedEx to have it there by 12:20 the next day. When it was showing the next morning on the tracking that it was still in Louisville (still showing in Louisville), I called and they said it was out for delivery in Chicago. When it was not there by 1:00, I called and they said that there was a delay, and it would be upgraded and driver would be made aware that it had to be delivered by 5:00. I was given a number for the priority ticket that had been submitted and was informed I would hear from FedEx with updates. I received none. When it was not there by 4:30, I called again. Still showing in Louisville. The FedEx employ, all at call centers outside of US, informed me it was still in Louisville. I asked to speak to a supervisor who also informed me it had not left Louisville. After several minutes, I was informed that it was at a warehouse. I drove to the warehouse with the intension of driving it the 10 hrs to Chicago the next day. Once at the FedEx warehouse, I was told it was on a truck to Indy (due to weather--we did not have bad weather), that it was still at the FedEx store on Hurstbourne where I originally submitted it, and then that it was at the warehouse. After an hour wait, they still had no idea where it was. I had to leave to go teach a night class. I returned at 9:00pm. No one had called me to let me know if they could or could not find it. I was told a supervisor would call me. I have not heard from any as of 10:00am today. I have started the claim process which looks like it will be a long painful one for me. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone who knows what is going on and when I went to a local FedEx store, they told me they could not help me, and I need to call the 1-800 call center.
