USE FEDEX AT YOUR OWN RISK. My takeaway from my experience with FedEx is that FedEx is a poorly run company on the decline with outdated software and policy and procedures compared to the competition. You call and Uber they can tell you were that car is and when it will be to you. You order an item from Amazon and it is there, sometimes, by the end of the day. I get images of my mail for the USPS every day. At no point did anyone at FedEx have any idea (and they still don't) where my package was or is right now and to be honest, no one was particularly concerned about it despite the high stakes on my end. EXTREMELY poor communication. Read on if you want my full experience. I attempted to send a package via FedEx. My daughter needed her passport to get hired for her internship in Chicago. My daughter has to have her passport to complete her I-9 or she will lose her internship and we have a lease on an apt in Chicago for the summer. She is adopted from China, she does not have a US birth certificate. This is the only proof of citizenship we have. Her social security card cannot be used. I paid $60 for FedEx to have it there by 12:20 the next day. When it was showing the next morning on the tracking that it was still in Louisville (still showing in Louisville), I called and they said it was out for delivery in Chicago. When it was not there by 1:00, I called and they said that there was a delay, and it would be upgraded and driver would be made aware that it had to be delivered by 5:00. I was given a number for the priority ticket that had been submitted and was informed I would hear from FedEx with updates. I received none. When it was not there by 4:30, I called again. Still showing in Louisville. The FedEx employ, all at call centers outside of US, informed me it was still in Louisville. I asked to speak to a supervisor who also informed me it had not left Louisville. After several minutes, I was informed that it was at a warehouse. I drove to the warehouse with the intension of driving it the 10 hrs to Chicago the next day. Once at the FedEx warehouse, I was told it was on a truck to Indy (due to weather--we did not have bad weather), that it was still at the FedEx store on Hurstbourne where I originally submitted it, and then that it was at the warehouse. After an hour wait, they still had no idea where it was. I had to leave to go teach a night class. I returned at 9:00pm. No one had called me to let me know if they could or could not find it. I was told a supervisor would call me. I have not heard from any as of 10:00am today. I have started the claim process which looks like it will be a long painful one for me. It is impossible to get anyone on the phone who knows what is going on and when I went to a local FedEx store, they told me they could not help me, and I need to call the 1-800 call center. I have a new house and fed ex has delivered 4 of 5 of my packages to the wrong address because they have the Same street number and street name but one is Cove Place and the other is Road. The package is correctly marked and I have talked to them 4 times now. The 1st one I told them the address and they put a new label with the wrong address on it after I told them 3 to 4 times the address on the box was correct. They then told me after each error they put info in the system and had if fixed. I assume the only reason I got 1 correct was it was a substitute driver that day! I've ordered a lot of deliveries and previously hadn't had many issues with FedEx -- just something minor every now and then. However, in the past couple months suddenly all deliveries are being dumped near the road where they can be stolen or damaged by weather. My driveway  is about a tenth of a mile long, and I could understand not delivering on a snowy day, but most days it's completely clear. The issue appears to be that FedEx can't be bothered to drive the last tenth of a mile and wants me to do that part of the job. Since I don't have time for missing "delivered" boxes and watching my phone or email like a hawk to run out and get a box before it's stolen, I'm simply discontinuing deliveries and will pick needed items up at a store when I'm out. I've let the vendors know that FedEx is why I stopped buying from them. read more

Please be aware this Holiday Season. Fed Ex delivered a package to my home that was to suppose to be mines. The delivery was clearly in a different zip code. I called them to make them aware of this and they did not call me back. I waited 5 days until I decided to call the shipper. When I called the shipper they told me it was a back brace for someone who had broken their back. Fed ex was suppose to call me to come and pick up after talking to the sender who was from Oakland CA. After not hearing from them, I decided to deliver the brace myself. I could only think about someone with a broke back, in pain and Fed ex not having the decency to respond. We all make mistakes but when there is no care about the mistake that was made and that is not acceptable. Someone lingered longer in pain and agony because of the laziness of Fed ex. Fed ex is very careless. Two years ago around this time of year, Fed ex delivered my laptop to another place. It took much discussion for me to prove they never delivered to me. Scam Alert! Beware of shipping through Fed Ex. Their tracking numbers have been hacked and thus bogus companies on Walmart are using the stolen tracking numbers to to get paid out. I ordered from Walmart, was given a (stolen) fedex tracking number, and was charged only I never got the item. FedEx has been hacked and scammers have stolen tracking number to get paid from your account. Fed Ex does not care after spending over an hour on phone with people who don't speak very good english and being hung up on. I legit never write a review for anything but this was absolutely ridiculous. After a faked attempt to deliver my package today, I had to go up to this place to pick it up. I made it a point to be home because this was the final delivery before it was sent back and also the weekend so I wanted my package instead of waiting a few more days because I paid for 2 day shipping. After getting there at 4:30 the lady working told me that the driver wasn't there and wouldn't be there for 2 more hours. So I asked why they said they tried to deliver it when they didn't and she immediately got an attitude out of nowhere with me and threatened to not do her job and call the driver to ask for another attempt all because I was saying that I was at home the entire day and the driver never came by. Louisville FEDEX deserves a big fat ZERO. Their drivers are idiots that don't have the sense they were born with. I live in busy downtown Louisville with a lot of foot traffic on my streets. I have an old mansion with a deep porch in which a package can be tucked away out of sight but the idiot FEDEX delivery people sit my packages out on the steps as if they're inviting someone to steal them. I've complained over and over to Louisville FEDEX and warned that one day it is going to result in theft. Well yesterday was the day. Dumb FEDEX put my large box on display when the person came up to steal that box, they saw the other packages that the Amazon Drivers had properly tucked away. Waited nearly 600 seconds prior to someone coming out from the back where I heard a couple of them talking about how much their life sucks because they work there. The lady was not knowledgeable about any of the products/services. She literally thought I wanted some damn movie time buttered popcorn when I asked for a bag. After dealing with unhelpful, unfriendly staff at the nearby post office, and being told my package was too large to mail, I came to this FedEx and was very satisfied with the service. The gentleman behind the counter came out to assist me getting the package out of my truck and into the store and was helpful with giving me the shipping options. If I could give all fedex a negative rating I would. The website says check holiday hours, but all but 1 doesn't say what they are. I have a business and have to waste my time going to locations that are closed. The phone number to call doesn't go to the actual location. It goes to basic customer service after spending time dealing with a robo answering that can't tell you anything. When I actually speak to a person I specifically asked about a location that is OPEN. They send me to one that has been closed all day. By the time I have driven to the one that is closed. The one that I find out was open is now closed. Went to the Hurstbourne store and asked how much to fax a document and I was told it was $2.75 per page which I had 26 pages, a total of $72. I thought it was a rip off. I went to the public library and faxed it for free. Prices are so ridiculous and all their computers are old and no scanners. Really poor service. read more

I ordered a package on Amazon for outdoor furniture and they did not tell Fedex the weight limit had surpassed 200 pounds so they were going to have to ship it back, but the Delivery Man Dale was so kind and he brought it to my house because it was already here in Louisville. He was so sweet and got it into my house so I would not have to go out in the rain! He moved everything himself and with a huge smile! I was so appreciative because I needed that furniture for bridal shower I was hosting this weekend. He totally saved the day! I ordered heart medication on a two day order. On the day I should have gotten it, a FedEx driver almost delivered it, but turned around and took it back to 'the facility'. Can't find out why...got a foreign person on Saturday and today, I am told they are not open on Monday. Into day five and running out of medicine.....what gives their drivers the right to open someone else's mail????? fed ex has dropped the ball once again. scheduled me a redelivery between 1230 and 130. been calling since 130 as of 4 pm they couldn't locate the driver or a manager. Now not only did i pay more than $100 to get this package delivered by noon I have to go pick it up between 830 and nine tonight. Ha then they Can't find a manager for me to talk with.
