I like this post office better than the one that is two blocks from my house. This is a small location but serves my needs perfectly. I've always been fortunate to find parking nearby, have spend very little time in line, and customer service has been decent. The facility is clean and well kept. They have a small selection of mailboxes. I know those seem like really simple things but they're not. Aside from the post office near my work, this is one of my favorites. It's a sad day when bad experiences are more likely than not in what used to be a proud institution.

This includes a time a few months ago when I went in and was particularly down that day. One of the post office workers had a tiny Mickey and Minnie mouse at their station. They made me laugh and smile. The post master happened to come up while we were talking about how much those tiny little toys changed my mood. To my surprise, they gave them to me! It really made my day. Now i have tiny little Minnie and Mickey at my desk to make me smile when I start to get stressed. But as far as Post Offices go, this one is just like any other you've visited in the past four decades: outdated, inefficient, long lines, etc. etc. etc. On a recent visit, I was there for over an hour and had to stand in line TWICE to get something mailed. Honestly, it was ridiculous. I had tried to use the self-service machine in the lobby which, while still utilizing technology from the 1980s, is still usually a more efficient way to send a package. When the machine malfunctioned, I stood in a long line to try to send it at the counter; but instead the ONE person working there informed me she would send a manager out to fix it since my package wasn't pre-addressed. (I had been planning to print out the address on the label at the machine....argggghhhh.) I waited about 10 minutes for the manager to come fix the machine. When he finally arrived (looking annoyed), he announced he couldn't fix it. So I had to GET BACK IN LINE for another 20 minutes (and bum a pen off of another patron) to finally mail my package. Really, this whole thing should have taken no more than 10 minutes. Anyway, the USPS is what it is. My package arrived safely and I guess that's all that really matters. But seriously, if this isn't an example of an inefficient business model I don't know what is!

It's got like an old 1950/60's décor feel. It's a beautiful large structure that basically takes up most of the corner block. It kind of reminds me of a New York style police station, which might be a bad or good comparison however you may look at it. There are quite a few steps to get inside and I don't remember a wheel chair ramp being available. Don't quote me on this because it's a post office so there is probably handicapped accessibility on the other side of the building. A wonderfully built building. The people inside are just a nice. Probably the nicest I've seen in a post office but I don't hate on post offices. They provide such a service especially since so many people don't really use paper mail anymore if they don't have to due to technology. Oh! There is parking galore as well.

She got even more rude and snarky with how she talked and said we don't provide printing services here. But I've had things printed at the post office before. Girl didn't seem like she knew how to do her job and was VERY rude from the moment I walked in. So I'm currently out 100 dollars and didn't get my keys. Don't ever use this post office. The workers don't deserve a job there.
