    United States Post Office 178 Columbus Avenue was my go to when I lived a few blocks away. I have had good times and bad times at this location over the years. One day last summer I was in the neighborhood at the right time of day to purchase my stamps and hit the door. I find with any business that the time of day makes a difference as far as waiting in line. As far as the disposition of the employees I say kill them with kindness. There's a place on your receipt to scan the code and leave a review. Make sure you get your receipt!

    Mr Siddell who is rude and unhelpful working was the only one working.   Didn't wear his mask properly and was coughing all the time

    Worst service ever. No stamps. No phone to call. Snotty personnel. No pens to write forms. No priority mail envelopes. Kiosks don't work.

    Review from 2025: Absurdity of the service staff continues…read more Jose, assistant branch manager, refused to accept a package in plastic bag claiming it's not a shipping bag. After questioning what defines a shipping bag, he couldn't articulate it for 5 minutes. Furthermore, he said he will have to spend $3.25 buying their plastic bag that have a place to put a label on. I had attached the label to my existing package that cannot be removed. In the same breath, he helped another customer shipping luggage without a label (just a tag). Lastly, I asked if I could use one of the freely available bags in store, he said no. The level of training of store manager is abysmal at best. Review from 2023: Eddie, Store Manager, experiences difficulty in communicating effectively, clearly and succinctly. I walked away feeling confused and frustrated for lack of care. Reference to some other company under FedEx left me thinking FedEx is disorganized.

    I had an exceptional customer experience at Fed Ex Ship Center…read more It was an extremely rainy day in NYC and I was incredibly stressed out trying to ship a bunch of things out a few days before a flight for a work trip. I specifically had several art pieces (a sculpture) and a lot of clothing including several boots. All pretty valuable and sentimental to me. Rebecca was wonderful and friendly answering all my initial questions over the phone. Thamara went above and beyond helping me at the center - packing everything and securing them into a giant box, and shipping it out. She even stuck many "This Side Up/Fragile" stickers on the box to ensure the box was handled with care and I was put at ease. Everything arrived at its destination exactly on time as expected and the art was in perfect condition. Outstanding service and staff and I will definitely be returning for any shipping needs in the future!
