Btw I have cameras so they can't deny skipping our house. I'm also signed up the image of each piece of mail coming that current day so I know we should have rcvd mail... One of the pieces of mail is our TAX INFO for this go around which in itself it a big joke. Anyways, they are holing our mail and I'd love to know why since u can't tell to a human via phone... I'll have to go in person.

When I was notified that my package was undeliverable and landed at the Sunapee Post Office, the postmaster rudely lectured me that he was quick to send any "undeliverable packages" back because, "frankly, (he's) not paid to hold packages at (his) facility." I thought my shipment was coming thru fedex but the post office somehow got involved. Given many of the places on the lake are seasonal they just send the packages back to sender that they contract with amazon to deliver. The good news is im sure the Newbury PO will be out of business soon and these guys can all go learn that customer service is critically important - even when you're on the government payroll. Good riddance.

Current employees are friendly. Packages can still be an issue. You have make sure you track your packages and not rely on the yellow indicator in the PO Box as they will send unclaimed packages back to the sender after 10 days. Also if the address is not perfect, they'll reject the package. Thankfully Amazon has started delivery directly to houses in the area. Also Walmart and CVS will deliver directly to homes.

At 9:30 we came and were denied claiming they did not take walk ins and to book an apt. I showed them the hours online and they said "yeah we don't do that yet but I'll ask". The male went into the back to ask if anyone could help and a woman responded "no I don't want to but thanks for asking". Needless to say, staff is very rude and unhelpful and we will not be returning. I truly believe the employees would benefit from a professionalism in the workplace class.

The Post Office provides a huge service in the town of New London. Located a few steps from the local grocery store, it makes a one-trip shopping, errands and mail stop a reality. In addition, a large part of the town's population rents PO Boxes due to the Winter practice on the part of the state snowplows to invariably take down mail poles with the boxes next to each address. Staffed by really nice people who realize they're making a contribution to the well being of the town and the vitality of the community.

I know there are a lot of students and retirees in New London, but certainly some people have jobs with hours that unfortunately mean your day doesn't end in time for you to get to the post office on time.
