I ordered a cosmetic item from Sephora through Kohls here in town because it wasn't in stock in the store. I started tracking it about 10 days ago when it was in Santa Barbara & then in Texas & then Arizona! It was so close & then it was crazy whatever was happening!!! I was ready to cancel & just purchase it from my store cuz they finally got it in their store! Anyway.... Until our post office here, in Paso Robles California got involved. They have actually called me to update me twice Matt the supervisor here at the post office just called me to tell me that my package was on its way! Everyone is usually so so nice here! The lady at the front desk today around noon was super unpleasant and unhelpful. I have a reoccurring package that I get monthly and send back and I've always gone here. I greeted her friendly and got no greeting back, then she looked at my package and told me they don't accept that. Deliveries are inconsistent, packages get misplaced and misdelivered, and while online says today it sometimes comes the following day. I've tried to give this post office the benefit of the doubt over the years, but unfortunately, my experience has been consistently disappointing. I once rented a PO box here for a couple of years to help ensure my mail wouldn't go missing. Toward the end, I found the box completely emptied and taped off from the inside with a handwritten note that said excessive mail even though there was no mail in it at all. They made no effort to hold or deliver what had been in the box. That was the final straw so I canceled it. Delivery to my home hasn't been much better. Our mailbox is located along a main road, and the mail is often left hanging out of the slot and unsecured. On top of that, customer service at the counter is generally curt and unhelpful. There's one clerk in particular who seems perpetually irritated, while the others are hit-or-miss. While I can't say for sure whether all of my missing mail is their fault I can say that if you rely on this post office for important or time sensitive deliveries, keep a close eye on things. Quite possibly the worst post office in the United States. From customer service, to ease of pick up and everything in between it's awful. 1. The out door has been "out of order" for literal years. Years! Which means that if you have a bunch of things to carry out you have to juggle your packages and pull a door open instead of pushing. 2. Many people in our town are in rural areas which means the mail carrier leaves the packages at the post office for pick up instead of leaving at the mailboxes where they could get stolen. That's great but when I come in to pick up my packages either they can't find them, tell me they're out with the driver even though I know they aren't because of the above mentioned reason, or they just shrug and say sorry you can try again tomorrow. It's a 45 minute round trip for me. And I've lost Track of how many times I've had to come back again only to find out the item was there all along they just had it in the wrong place. 3. The people that work at the customer service desk are condescending and down right rude. Not all of them but one or two in particular are. In fact I have had one CS person listen in on a conversation I was having with another CS and person and made sure to chime in that my normal carrier wasn't in and that they already told me that. Well, this conversation didn't include them, they didn't tell me my carrier was off because I was not dealing with this person and yet they felt compelled to act like this towards me when I want not even working with them at the time. It's so frustrating when all I am trying to do is get my damn mail. It's already inconvenient enough that any time I order something that I know I'll have to come back in to pick it up but it's unacceptable that the attitude, disrespect and sheer disregard for the value of MY time is so apparent. read more

We had a package delivered and all 4 pieces were broken. So I reordered the items again. The postal person put the package in a parcel locker. The key didn't work. We left a note in our box but was ignored. I then called the Post office and spoke with Joseph who said he would personally take care of the matter. It still hasn't been fixed. I go into the post office frequently enough to know that everyone in there is hardworking and pleasant, but my favorite is Tiffany! She always has a smile on her face, something funny to say, and gets the job done! She works tirelessly and is always polite & kind. And this has been over the course of the last 5 years. I recently read a review that was not so kind about her and was shocked....some named Angie posted a letter from another person name M. Kirby. Which seems like a violation of privacy as a picture was taken of the letter.....so the letter should be totally disregarded as it seems like a personal attack. In and out in a jiffy. No line, purchased stamps and a money order. Parking was easy.

Employees were rude and abrasive after I asked a question. I asked if I could somehow figure out the tracking number for a package, which I lost the receipt to. I was answered with the response, "how do you want me to do that?". I explained I didn't know how or if it is possible and that's why I was here asking them. The person I spoke to was the manager, after I got the same response from a previous employee and was told to talk to her(the manager). I do admit after I didn't react to their rude and abrasive behavior, they then became helpful, but why should I have to be overly nice just to get a question answered? We received exceptional service when we went in today to renew our passports. We called ahead and were advised no appointment was necessary; when we arrived there was just one family ahead of us, so we had to wait only a few minutes for our turn. While waiting, we noted the other desk clerks were hard at work, providing helpful, courteous and efficient service to their many customers. When our turn arrived the passport clerk quickly determined we had all documentation needed to process our renewal application. She then asked us to join her in her office, took the passport photos (even letting me choose the one I wanted, ha), and prepared the paperwork and mailing envelope quickly. The whole process was so quick, painless, and convenient, that we were out the door in no more than 10-12 minutes. Definitely recommend using this office for passport-related processing. read more

I don't think you can expect much from the post office these days. The counter is almost always understaffed. That can lead to long lines. But, sometimes you luck out. One star is too many for this edifice and the poor service contained within. We love our United States Post Office. We think it is one of the greatest accomplishments of our country and noblest profession one could have. It's a joy to enter and buy stamps and have faith in the staff that your mail will be received and delivered with the utmost dignity and dedication. Not so at this location. The staff are cruel and disrespectful. They act very unprofessional and are unfair and nasty to customers and even to their fellow staff members on their team. It is so sad. It is a disservice to the American people. This office will even turn away your birthday card and Christmas cards from loved ones at their whim as their hearts are that cold and empty. Please quit if you hate your job! The post office is a noble and epic place. I wish these employees would receive some training. They are curt and treat everyone as if they are hassling them when it's their job. Seeing humans in the office offends them and angers them. That's what they are there for- to serve the public! And it is appreciated immensely. Now I find myself just hoping for a short and quick interaction when I have to go there as it's a necessity but I know I may be attacked with their words and irritation by my presence and requests. I would go to another one if there was one but Paso is too small and this is our only choice. The power trips that happen here are unbelievable. Small minded people with hate inside them. I won't list names but I see the same names unbelievably on 5 star reviews here. They must be planted reviews as those names are the employees that are the most terrible. All of the postal clerks at the Paso Robles center are friendly and helpful. However, there is one who stands out as the most efficient and pleasant postal employee we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. We were in the process of renewing our passports and Tiffany handled the process from checking to see if our applications were filled out correctly, taking our pictures and then assembling the completed package for mailing. She is definitely a valued asset to the Paso Robles post office. read more

DON'T EXPECT GOOD SERVICE OR YOUR MAIL. I moved to the area about 3 years ago and have never been able to receive any mail or packages. I've communicated this issue with USPS multiple times but each time I am shut down or belittled. I even went to city hall to get all the required paperwork for them and I was said to be good to go but apparently not. The only good employee here is Joe. Joe is a sweetheart and deserves the world. Everyone else, especially the lady with the horrendously tattooed eyebrows, is incredible rude. Don't trust them at all to deal with your packages. I made the mistake of letting the UPS store mail some important documents to the IRS. I got them back for incorrect postage. Thank God for Tiffany at the Paso Post Office. I own a business and before the pandemic my postman would always come into my business pick up my mail and ask if there was any mail going out. without fail every day he would do that. I understand things have all changed after pandemic but the post office is still delivering mail, it's a different mail carrier that comes into my business but they just toss the envelope on a desk don't ask if I have outgoing mail and they walk away. If I don't have mail coming to me they don't even stop and ask if I have mail to be picked up. I contacted the 800 number for the post office and the person that called me stated that if I don't have a signal for them to see outside my business than the post office does it have to stop and ask if I have mail to be picked up apparently they also don't abide by the rules that they said because on the customer email I sent them I asked them not to contact me by telephone I get it we have no choice but to use them but if there's a different way to get your packages and mail and do electronic mail do electronic billing electronic payment I would do it. read more

I have never had such a runaround as I have with the employees here at the Paso Robles post office. I went online to do a change of address because they keep charging more and more for the post office box. I decided to get mail at home. I bought a locking mailbox had it, installed on my fence after getting confirmed online that my new address was good. I closed my old PO Box and even though I had a whole month left, they locked me out immediately without any kind of refund, now three weeks later they're telling me my address is not deliverable so I basically bought a new bail box and lost a month on my PO Box for NOTHING!!!! . I have gone in about four times now and every one of the employees there tells me something different. They're rude not helpful. They look at you like they have no idea what you're talking about, so I ask if my old PO Box is still available, they say it is but you need to fill out this application and jump through all these hoops to get back into my box and they tell me they are not refunding my month that they stole, I have never seen such dumb uninformed people in my life!!! I've had a PO Box there for over 10 years and this is how your treated!?!? I see there are many unsavory reviews here and rightly so! read more

Be aware that this location practices the bare minimum for social distancing. Distancing stickers in the floor suggest as to where to queue but people walk all around you right up close enough to smell so may as well not have any social distance. Package pick up process requires that you cut the line and walk real close to others so you are forced to contribute to the problem if you want to pick up your package. read more

This review is directed to TIFFANY that is UNFORTUNATLY employed by the Paso Robles Post office on Spring Street. This review does not reflect the many other wonderful people that work there. I am a lifelong resident of Paso and a local business owner. On multiple occasions I have found this woman to treat me in a very discriminating, rude, and extremely unprofessional manner. I order baby chicks throughout the year and they are delivered to the Paso Robles post office. Thats where you pick them up. I have been picking up baby chicks for many years from this post office. It is customary that you receive a call the morning that your chicks have arrived. In early April I received a voice mail from Tiffany stating, " This is Paso Robles Post office your chickens are here, and you need to come get them NOW!" This was in a very irritated, rude tone. I was completely taken aback. When I arrived, I walked to the counter and was asked by Tiffany "what do I want"? I said im here to pick up my baby chicks. This woman asked for my ID and then flung it back at me. She gave me my baby chicks without ever saying a word. She has a permanent look of disgust on her face whenever I have delt with her. Today I again had to go to the Post Office to pick up another baby chick order and had to deal with her. I don't like to bring race into a bad customer service experience, but I believe that's the issue with this miserable woman. I am Hispanic and my husband is African American and today she treated us like S**T! There was absolutely no excuse for her behavior. She made sure to do everything she could so I couldn't pick my order up. Paso Robles is a small town most of us know each other here. When you go to the Post office you are always going to run into someone you know. You see many friendly familiar faces that work at the Paso post office too.
