Not efficient, disorganized office and disrespectful staff. I give 1/2 star if I could .

The USPS website clearly shows that passport services are available on Saturdays from 10 - 1. We travelled from a neighboring city and got there early, and stood in line. Once they opened, the woman behind the counter says, "Is anyone here for passport services?" Several people in line raise their hands. She then goes on to say, "We are not doing passport services today, but you can come back on Monday..." I ask when the next weekend passport services will be available, and she says "they" stopped doing it on weekends. Of course there is no accountability. I'm sure the website will continue to say they do weekends. I tried to call the national support line to ask them to change the website, but the wait time was over an hour. What a friggin waste of time! Now I will have to take time off work to get my son the passport he needs for an upcoming trip. read more

I went in for the first time last week to mail an Amazon sale. This was a quick-entry, short-line, and friendly staff experience. I even tore through a box accidentally, and they told me it was no charge when I offered to pay for it. I will be coming back here for shipping again. Rate was reasonable. I was met with a smile, and was pleasantly surprised, having read the reviews before I went in. read more

ZERO STARS!! Came in early this morning to ship a package and the employees are rude, lazy, and not very helpful. It was our first time shipping a package and we asked for help but the employees had attitude and were very short. The employee that was originally helping us behind the counter walked away and never returned, The other employee started helping us pay for the package, then just started helping another customer while we were trying to hand him the money!! I have been coming to this post office for over 20 years and the workers here are great. Francine, Floyd, Leonard, and Ravinder are all wonderful. They have gone above and beyond for me numerous times. To those of you complaining....perhaps showing the workers kindness and compassion would make your visit better. I doubt very much they want to be the only one working when the line is out the door. To those of you bashing the postal service....learn to be grateful and appreciate what you have. We been having several mailbox breaking's in our area. Beside these Boxes being Cheaply made for easy break-ins. Our box has been broken since 1/10/15 today is 1/22/15 and they are still not fixed. They wonder why we get why we get mad when there is an increase in Taxes and Stamps? Although it is a federal offence for breaking into boxes, that doesn't work unless you catch the thief. Maybe they should spend a little more on building better boxes to prevent easy theft. If are Government can send a man to the Moon, I am sure we are capable of building Mail Boxes that can be better protected, for our sake of protecting us of possible Identity theft. Tried to mail a prepaid package, was told that the date had to be within 24 hrs, so I reprinted the label. I go there & now that say it needs to be day of! Stay consistent with what you say & show some damn customer service. THAT'S WHY YOU GUYS (USPS) ARE STRUGGLING to stay afloat! Get it together! Always so grouchy, don't take it out on customers because you hate your job! read more

Horrible! Worst post office! 4 of my packages were never delivered to my house after my email said it was delivered. I always file a report and complain and all I get is a email saying sorry the packages were not found. It's easy for the carriers to steal our packages because they know all we get back is a lousy email saying "sorry". I have my packages sent to another location and I get EVERYONE of them, but I have it sent to my home and none of them are delivered! I call to speak to the manager Hazel and she never calls back after saying she will. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

I rarely come to this particular location because I forget about it. But when I do come there's always only one person working. Which makes it hard if your in a rush. I can't pick a better time to go to avoid a crowd. But even sometimes theres no crowd just extremely slow process. read more

this place sucks. the customer service is horrendous and nobody ever answers the phone. my mail man himself is a very nice man, but i HATE that I have to deal with the post office when my packages are LOST or God forbid i have to go there to pick anything up. I usually drive to the antioch post office because they have an automated machine and i don't have to deal with morons. read more

Between the Atlantic & Railroad post office, I don't know which is worse. All of the people I have spoke to Hazel, Crystal, & Sandra are RUDE! They are not helpful and just push you off on another person that also can't assist with something simple. When asked who was above them so I could speak to someone competent none of them would answer. If I could give NO STARS I would have. Not impressed & would rather drive to Concord or any other city than go to either of these post offices! read more

I wish I could give less than one star, THIS IS THE WORST customer service ever! The employees are so rude and they act with so much sarcasm like if they were doing me a favor. The want you to move fast and rush you, but they work so lazy and slow.. I've never seen it before.. Please go to UPS I got a better price and is way safer... No wonder the Postal Service is going bankrupt! I rented a PO Box for this location on the USPS website. I needed to show them my ID at the counter in order to get a key for my new box. I walked into the lobby at 4:55 PM, five minutes before closing, the earliest I can get there with my commute. At 5:00 PM I was promptly locked into the lobby with five customers in line in front of me. It took a total of 45 minutes (5:40 PM) for the guy behind the counter to get to me. While I was standing there I came to the realization I would be doing this frequently, every time I need to pick up at the counter anything that didn't fit into the small box I rented. So when I got to the counter I told the USPS guy, real nice and polite as tough as that was, I made a mistake and don't need a key after all and need a refund instead. "Oh, you did this online, you need to cancel online" he told me. I get home, sign in to USPS.com, and while attempting to cancel, promptly get a pop-up on my screen that reads: "YOU MUST VISIT THE LOCATION OF YOUR PO BOX TO CLOSE THE SERVICE". Here we go again. Wow, that is fantastic, thanks Mr. USPS! I can think of no better way to spend my dinner hour two days in a row! read more

To be a Main Post Office this one is is very disappointing. The Building is small and old, the service clerks are not good, the stamp collection is minimal (always running out), the parking area is small, which is all unfortunate since Pittsburg is trying to improve their old downtown. If this office just had good customer service it would make everything else not as bad. read more

Can I rate this a "0" this post office in atlantic plaza is HORRIBLE!!! the heavy set lady who is working the counter is beyond RUDE, everytime I go in. Today was the worst!, the person infront of me was done, so i walked up to the counter, she rudely said, "I'm busy thrying to delete this, you have to wait!" I was ok with waiting, then when she was done, she said, "Next time u need to wait in line, till i'm done, and then i will call u up here." .... ok...... so I needed a money order for $556.23 and gave here $570 cash, and she say "I dont have change for you, I'm not going to give you all my change, you cant come here this early without exact change" WTH??? are you serious?? I couldnt belive this. She had the change, but didnt want to give it to me, and the rudeness was crazy! So I left!! I always go to the post office downtown pittsburg, but we just recently moved our business from downtown to uptown, to this is our new post office to use, I go to the post office almost everyday. I can not take this ladys attitude anymore!! I guess I will have to drive farther to not have to put up with this ladies rudeness. read more

It's 4:49 on a Monday, no mail delivered yet. I call and get no answer after 20 rings. No, it is NOT a holiday! Have had issues with fill-in carriers stealing packages (never lost a package when my regular carrier was delivering, but on those 6th days of the week, when he is off, is when 2 packages have mysteriously disappeared despite the tracking saying they were delivered, and despite my being at home and LOOKING for the mail delivery each time. One package was supposedly delivered when I was walking down the sidewalk to pick up my mail as the carrier was filling my mailbox. I never got that package, they SWORE the carrier delivered it but then were UNABLE to ever contact that carrier again - who was a ONE TIME fill-in person that I had never seen before or since. One time when I was at the Post Office on Atlantic I asked for 4 rolls of Forever Stamps. I was told that they would not sell me 4 rolls because that was TOO MANY for one person to purchase, and they refused to sell me ANY stamps! Rude person told me to use the internet! Another time, I had pre-stamped a small box and was dropping it off, to make sure I had the correct amount of stamps on it. She asked me what was in it, I said "decals", and she asked again. Again, I said "Decals". She THREW the box at me and told me that they would not accept any boxes with written labels and regular stamps, and that I would have to get prepaid labels made for any boxes I wanted to ship! This area has the rudest staff I have ever run into! My regular carrier is wonderful, but I cannot say the same for the others who fill in on his route. read more
