Met with Waterman and dropped off the turntable. Within 4 or 5 days he called me and let me know it was ready. He was very thorough. He brought the unit back to life, replaced parts that needed and added a new Audio-Technica LS300 cartridge, made in japan. The whole process was painless and turn around great. There are not too many people around that have the ability to do this kind of work I am glad I found Waterman. My other components are in great shape but if something goes amiss I will certainly contact him again. He manages his business by his own rules, kind of like Digital vs Analog. The models suggested ultimately weren't my final cup-of-tea, but I have to say that the detailed opinions on my old dead printer and lengthier replies to my other inquiries were very good customer service. They could have just as easily been rude and left blunt, disregarding replies. My recommendation is that you give them an honest shot at earning your business!

Cartridge World was the only place I called that was truly helpful. They saved me a lot of time, and potential waste of money, by being honest with me. They told me that the printheads were shot, and that HP didn't make a replacement. The only option was to try a refurbished one and those don't work the majority of the time. They said my printer was only designed to last approx. 4yrs, and it had lasted much longer than that! I also asked for their feedback on a couple of printers I was considering as a replacement. They were super helpful there as well. Very refreshing to get someone who is honest, forthcoming and helpful, even when it seemed like they might have been in a hurry. I recommend them!
