I've had two other occasions to visit the Issaqua post office and the line there has always been very long and slow moving. I see the reviews for the Fall City post office are over a year old, perhaps this indicates improvement. Maybe those who are dissatisfied should visit the Issaqua post office and maybe gain an appreciation for what they have here in Fall City.

This location only gets two stars instead of one star because Karen is the nicest USPS worker out there. I feel like she has worked there for as long as I've lived in Issaquah and she always goes above and beyond to help me and my family, sometimes even telling us how we can save on postage. She unfortunately seems to be the only competent person there. I went in a few days ago to pick up, you guessed it, Forever International stamps and was told they are still out of stock. I asked if they instead had 10-cent stamps (two domestic stamps (73 cents) plus two ten-cent stamps equal the same amount of postage as one Forever International stamp ($1.65) and no, they don't make 20-cent stamps for some reason) and they said they were all out of ten cent stamps and instead, the guy at the desk tried to sell me five-cent stamps. I was genuinely shocked. Six whole stamps will not fit on a single postcard to Canada which is what I was trying to mail. Then he asked if I want additional ounce stamps which are 28 cents and I told him I didn't want to pay 9 cents of extra postage on everything I mail internationally to which he replied I could put three domestic stamps on an envelope. I feel like math should be a requirement to work for the USPS. If I am already complaining about paying 9 extra cents. Why would I ever put $2.19 worth of postage on an envelope going literally a hop across the border?? Honestly a ridiculous experience. I spent fifteen minutes waiting in a line of two people to walk out empty-handed. Slow service, and some seriously math-challenged employees. My 7-year-old niece who I was trying to send the postcard to would have the sense not to say "put three domestic stamps on an international postcard." Even telling me to get printed postage from the self-service machine would have been a more logical idea to suggest than that.

They would accept my pre-printed labels and items with a smile and a friendly chat. I arrived with a medium sized box and motorcycle tire (brand new tire not dirty etc), and labels. The "welcome" I received was very cantankerous as to how I dare bring that in here and "we don't do that". I had to take a step back as I felt like very embarrassed in front of my daughter and other patrons. I don't know what changed, but I will not be going back to Pine Lake Mail Post anytime soon. They have lost my trust and respect.

My niece suggested that I get stamps from Costco, but they don't sell POSTCARD stamps. Yup. This post office was really close to Costco anyway, so it wasn't out of our way! Plus, the service was SUPER helpful! The kind, friendly woman was very personable and asked where we were from. She gave me tips on where to eat nearby and where to go for a good view of the city and the Space Needle. She was sharp because she looked at my postcards, knew that I was a tourist and tried to help me find beautiful views of Seattle like those on the postcards! She went over and beyond! She asked of i needed more than ten stamps - because they are "Forever" stamps and the price will be the same now and forever... She's correct. I purchased 20 stamps... LOL! I am back updating the review for the passport renewal for my kids…read more I had to book a month ahead for an appointment, however you should also know that they do walk-in every Tuesday to Thursday from 8am to 9am, with 15 mins for each person. That means that they only take 4 applicants per day. Hot tip: come before 8am, as they will hand out a ticket for you to be seen, otherwise your best bet is to try another day. Unfortunately this renewal was not successful as the first, because I did not my bring everything that was required for my daughter so we went back for a walk-in. Luckily, we were first and I forgot her passport card, Thomas, the passport processor at the Renton Highland location allowed us to run home to get it while he process the others. I'm writing this review so I will remember it for next time. Also, if your minor is over 16 at the time of the application, it will be a 10-year passport, under 16 is only good for 5 years.
