To be honest, there are always a few gems working here , some genuinely great people who try. But the overall establishment desperately needs to be blown up and refreshed. A lot of the staff don't seem aware of basic processes to help customers, and many of them just don't want to be there. That energy shows, and it makes the entire experience feel trash. I recently became a U.S. citizen after 14 years of waiting. I came here for help and was given the wrong information twice by a woman on the phone in person. After that long of a journey, dealing with misinformation and confusion honestly makes you want to flip a table over. This post office is crap show. It is in a busy square yet only has 1 employee helping customers. So the line is long. Tho being the 3rd person in line at 1030. Its now 11am and I am still waiting to be seen. I just need to mail some documents. No one has come out to address the crowd. Ive seen several employees walking around in the back. I cant judge cause im not sure what positions they hold. But im sure someone could have came to help. I count 17 ppl in line behind. Some with children. The social distances are getting smaller. Went to this post office today and the older lady Ms Ellis was so confrontational and unprofessional with everyone she came across . It is a shame that good mannerisms cannot be practice in our Federal facility because of sight chances of getting reprimanded. As a federal employee myself chances of getting fired are slim, employees know this and behave however. ALWAYS jam-packed, long lines, tellers miserably slow, WAY too few tellers for decent service, don't answer questions, grunt their replies. Have to wait in line AT LEAST 30 MINUTES for any kind of service -- stamps, package pick-up, mailing IRS Forms, money order. Truly incredible how terribly this store is run. I called time and time again, and had my calls hung up on. I even called another store to see if they could help me with my package, and they said that this Roxbury store is known for hanging up on people. Nice. Then, I called 8 more times and even had to block my number because they started screening my calls. Finally after about an hour of nonstop calling and being hung up on, they answered, and promptly did absolutely nothing to help track my package. read more

The worst post office I have ever been to. I live and work in this area, and don't have the ability to avoid it. If you need anything, expect to wait over thirty minutes. Even if it is just to buy stamps, it will take forever. I just waited over 30 minutes for two packages but they only found one. I'm not sure where my other package is. This post office is the WORST, even before COVID. They NEVERRRRRRRR answer their phones and when you decide to just come in person, the wait time is excruciatingly long. Literally any time I've gone they always have 1 person at the window. One time I had to stay at the tellers window until the supervisor came down and he literally took his time coming down. I find it hard to believe that I would get such terrible service if I lived in a wealthier part of Boston. I've had several issues with this office but this takes the cake - received a notification that the package was delivered but I could not find the package or a pink slip. When I called I was told to look in "alternative places" or ask a neighbor. I finally found the package under a fallen fence in a wooded area I would never go to or have access too if I wasn't searching for it. The label was RIPPED OFF and stuck to the inside of a mailbox we were forced to stop using because the postal workers didn't want to walk up the flight of stairs. It's partially the property owners fault but still, it's so frustrating and upsetting to be treated this poorly. Literally waited in line for 45mins for a stamped envelope. Now I understand that places get busy, but there is no reason that there are only two people working and one of the employees disappears in the back for what felt like forever while his colleague helped the same customer for the entire time I was in there. I have lived at my address for 4 years and I have never ever received a certified letter, always the slip and sometimes, NOT. If I also pay for shipping while ordering from another shipper and they give it to the Post Office. I also never can get my package when I am suppose.The mail is usually delivered by 7pm daily. If you are expecting a package to be delivered by this post office, you better pray that you are home. My delivery met my absence, so I completed the peach form requesting for re-delivery, which never came. When I called to inquire the supervisor advised that I should not have used the form but rather should have requested re-delivery via their site. Why do they leave the form then? One would think leaving the form, would be better and easier than having to go on-line. What about those who don't have access to the internet? The attitude seemingly is that they are not going to log the packages around, so their obligation ends with one attempted delivery. If you really want the package, they expect you to come for it.This is the third time this has happened to me. The last time, I was lucky to have called the day the package was scheduled to be returned. Not so lucky this time around; my package has been returned to sender and now I have to arrange for it to be mailed again at my expense. It definitely would not be through USPS. This post office upsets me the most! I mean come on these carriers are paid to deliver mail, ring doorbells and make sure they deliver packages. For 3 years I've had so many issues with no solutions. A carrier stole my hand made earrings last summer and I still haven't received a refund for my product or anything else. Last week alone I had 3 packages that were high priority and extremely important delivered to me only to stay home for 3 days and continue to come to the mailbox and find Sorry we missed you notifications. I'm confused because while I wasted my days and lost paychecks so I can be home for a delivery that I never received....why is this carrier still working this route?
