I've visited this post office a handful of times these last few months and the service is wonderful each time. The clerks at the counter are helpful, efficient, and kind. What dreadful service! Four times in a row now I've gone to buy stamps and they have none! Three times over the past 4 months I've gone in the middle of the day to find them closed, no note on the door or explanation. The front desk people are friendly but have no control over the terrible management. There are days with no mail delivery. I've never had these problems at any other post office. There seems to be no accountability for the bad management. I'm now going to other POs even though they are much less convenient. read more

Worst service ever! My first time mailing a priority mail and no one offered to help. I clearly needed help since I was asking her questions (black women with braids). No one was in the store at that moment and they did not seemed busy. Her and the other women had a very angry demeanor. Not friendly at all! I left in frustration and did not use the services. Please hire people with a positive attitude and willingness to help, it is part of their job. read more

Quite possibly the friendliest and least grumpy USPS counter workers on the planet. Flash them a smile and chat, and they'll be happy to smile and chat right back at you. Lines are longer during lunch, but overall they're very efficient; I've never waited more than ten minutes for service (during lunch, on a weekday), which is a hell of a lot better than what some other USPS POs can say for themselves (*coughcough* Porter Square *cough*). read more

US Post Office - Entrance - Post Offices Near Me - Brookline, Massachusetts

Today I went in to the location at 3:33pm. I kindly asked the woman at the desk does she have a pen, with an attitude she directed me around the corner. i asked again does she have a pen, again with an attitude and dismissive body language she replies "their over there..." i did what I needed to do came back and waited for another person. the next woman (Steph) waits until I have all my things together and goes cash only with a smirk. the caucasian woman before me was receiving great service, however every single time I go into this post office I'm given dismissive attitude and rudeness. (im a black Woman) & when I asked Steph for her associates name, she hesitated because she then realized that I caught onto their disrespect for people of color. I am not the only one to experience this treatment at this location, my business associates complain every time they leave there too, bri & Steph need to be trained on their customer service skills. More so bri than Steph. But either way please retrain these associates. read more

This post office is amazing! I don't know why I didn't try this location before. They maintain it well and it's nice and clean compared to other locations in Boston. There is metered parking right outside. Also they're open until 4pm on Saturday! Service was quick and friendly. These USPS workers are the happiest ones I've encountered. At other locations, they're usually grumpy and seem like they hate their job. Definitely will aim to return to this location. We recommend this USPS to all. read more

The most miserable people in the world work in the Brookline Village post office. I hate going in there, but it's convenient. However, I'll gladly go out of my way to the post office in Newton where the employees are nice. What's wrong with the women at this post office? It looks like a nice place to work. They are NEVER friendly; can barely say hello or thank you; when you ask for something such as stamps, they point. I will no longer allow them to ruin my day!!!! Ed was great, but I guess he retired. After seeing the USPS faithfully deliver through several Nor'easters, I can't help but be a fan of the Boston Post Office and this location in particular. I'm especially impressed that they opened their doors every single morning this winter (sometimes late), even on days that UPS, the universities, and seemingly most of MTBA have shut down. I find the two older gentlemen behind the counters be outstanding with customer service. They're friendly, but speed doesn't suffer. There are often lines after 5 PM immediately after they open their doors at 8 AM. I know this because these are usually the only times I can stop by. That said, I still feel lucky to live close to a post office that stays open until 6 every weekday (unlike the banks here--what's up with Boston's banks?) The Saturday hours through 3 PM are also nice. I've been a life-long fan of the USPS, and this convenient branch is easily the best I've patronized in years. Of course, coming from Chicago, perhaps that doesn't mean so much. read more

One of the things I dislike most about Post Offices in years pastwas the attitude with customers. My previous experience has always been that they were snobs who think they're way better and above everyone else because they work for the Federal Government. In the last few times that I've visited this PO, my experiences has been pretty pleasant and they were also helpful and make some pretty good suggestions that saved me some money. Dear God in heaven I love this post office. Compared to the Coolidge Corner location it's a breath of fresh air. Compared to the JP PO it's an all-expense paid trip to the Caribbean. The people who work here are super efficient, friendly, kind, social, talkative, knowledgable, and professional. I've never been met with sarcasm, rude behavior, rude body language, or laziness. The line (which seldom exists due to their efficiency) moves quickly, and the natural wood inside of the post office adds a lovely warm small-town feel to the general ambiance. I actually seriously enjoy coming to this post office and will go out of my way and avoid others in the area to come here. That's how much I like it. :) Highly recommended. read more

I've been to this post office approximately 7,010 times in the past year. It resides across the street from my work, and although the Jamaica Plain post office isn't far from my house, I hate that post office with a passion so fierce that I gladly lug anything I need to mail over to Brookline Village (no offense to anyone who works at the JP post office, you're very nice, but there are so few of you that it can [and has] taken me 25 minutes to mail something simple despite only 2 people being in line ahead of me. I would quite frankly rather catch a pigeon with my bare hands and secure a package to it's legs -- hoping it could find my intended destination without any carrier training -- rather than step inside your building [though the building itself is quite lovely]). Ok...end rant. As for the Brookline village post office, they are well staffed, and all of the 4-5 regular postmen are incredibly nice and helpful! They also have a slew of PO boxes, greeting cards, and a variety of plain and decorative boxes to send your goodies in. read more

This post office is my favorite in all of Boston, not only because it is literally one door down from my apartment building, but also because the staff is always helpful, good-humored, and efficient. They are always suggesting the best way for me to mail a package--no matter if it's to California or Bulgaria, they've got it covered. While they do not have an automated mail service center, I think it would detract from the neighborhood charm of this mailing outpost. read more

This is my local PO and I am a fan. : ) Although it seems like this post office has power or credit card outages whenever it snows (!) the postal clerks are really friendly, chatty and helpful and the line is typically not groan-worthy like up at the Coolidge Cannnah USPS. I do wish that Brookline Village had a self serve kiosk for when the line is long and a little more information posted while you're waiting to save on explaining the basics to a customer (the price of stamps, how to fill in international forms, the price and size of flat rate boxes, whether you should chose priority / express / tracking / insurance). read more

Never trust overnight delivery from USPS!!! I sent a letter from Boston to SF overnight and paid $20 for that. You wouldn't expect any issues between major US cities.Well the package arrived 3 days later! No excuses made. "Mistakes happen". When I tried to file a complain, the supervisor was rude and didn't help. Oh yes they paid me back but they couldn't give one explanation and worse they don't even register complains. At least, it would give a sense that they do something about it and try to get better but no. This is really upsetting. Now I know never to trust them for overnight delivery. First time delivering a package to my mom for her birthday. I noticed on my receipt, the postal clerk entered the wrong zip code, innocent mistake I understand. However, when I returned back to he post office to notify them of this innocent mistake. The clerk told me, "eventually it would get there." I trusted in what the clerk told me; however, that was three weeks ago. My package still has not reached its destination, and it continues to bounce around the state of Florida. Its ok that the clerk entered in the wrong address, I understand mistakes happen. I just can't understand why when I returned with the receipt to show that the wrong zip code had been entered, why the mistake was not fixed then and there instead of telling me that "eventually it would get there" that is not good customer service, and I am very disappointed, I have heard nothing but good things from other residents about this postal service. Word of advice- make sure you verify the sending address with them. read more

This one is CONSISTENTLY the BEST customer I've ever had at any post office. Time after time. Friendly, knowledgeable, efficient. It's how a Post Office should be. Even the customers are nicer. This is unbelievable! Our mail is not being delivered because our carrier is on vacation! Come on, what happened to rain, sleet or snow?? Received a letter today 8/16, postmarked 8/5, with an important appointment date, which I of course missed. Alot of mail has just been lost, pieces like school assignments we KNOW were mailed out. Ms. Jackson took the time to listen to the 'saga' of the missing COD and assured me that she would resolve it for me.
