Terrible customer service. Employees talk down to you and are no help whatsoever. They should hire people that care about their customers.

St. Louis used to have the best postal service. Now there are staff that steal. My mom sent cards with a bill in them that didn't arrive. She mailed them at a post office in the city to 63119. I asked the manager here about it and he replied not to put cash in the mail. Didn't seem to be surprised or care. Another card we mailed was opened and the gift card inside was stolen. A friend of mine also in this zip code had a check taken out of an envelope to get her account number. read more

Postal staff are friendly but that fails to make up for their leisurely and lazy approach to work. For example, they are aware customers are waiting in line but will pretend they don't see them. They will help/call customers out of order (i.e. choosing to greet and help folks walking through the door or other line cutters who walk up to the counter instead of assisting folks who have been patiently waiting their turn in line). And, when you call this oddity to their attention, they will shrug it off. The postal workers will also chat with each other for extended periods of time before calling the next customer out of the que. Bottom line: When you mail your package here, it will likely reach the recipient. If that's all you are expecting from your local post office, then you are golden. If you want an efficient and frustration free postal experience, do yourself a favor and patronize another location. read more

I visit this post office regularly and find the staff helpful and friendly during each visit. Often, I have questions regarding the best delivery method for documents that need tracking or receipts. The staff are patient and knowledgeable about their services. I recently went to this location to turn in my passport application and had a few questions that they were able to answer. Another huge plus, they noticed some issues in my passport photo, which most likely saved me the time and frustration from a possible rejected application (no logos on your clothing and no barrettes or bobby pins in your hair). Since you only submit a passport application every 10 years I didn't know this, so I appreciated that they knew the specifics, noticed the issue and notified me so I was aware! This location has a small lobby when you enter that has P.O. boxes and a desk that has any blank forms you may need. The desk and lobby area is convenient because you can figure out what form you need and fill it out before you enter the tiny and usually crowded main area. This location takes customers in order, so be sure to grab a number as you enter. If you are there for a passport you need to tell them and they will give you a separate number/card for passports. They also sell gift cards, shipping boxes and other packing materials. Outside in the front, there are several drive up mailboxes. One of the downsides to this location is the parking lot. It is small, disorganized and often crowded, so be careful as you drive through the lot. read more

To be clear, they DO NOT even deserve a 1 star rating. I go into the store and there I see, instantly a line of 6. I asked how long were they waiting. They said 10 minutes and the workers saw them but didn't ACKNOWLEDGE them. I thought it shouldn't be too bad so I proceeded to wait, as I'm being patient the other customers patience grew thin. Asking where the workers are, wondering if they were closed, after a few people spoke up, finally one worker shows up. Claiming he's just a mailman and he had an attitude right off the jump. After bickering back and forth with the customers he ended up helping said customers. Then I go up to the same guy and I knew the tension was high so I tried MY BEST to be AS NICE AS POSSIBLE with a sweet "hey how are you, would you be able to help me?" His reply, "CANT YOU SEE IM DOING PASSPORTS" with such a rude attitude. I stepped back and apologized. Then proceeded to go to the next worker who right away claims "yeah, I can't help you either, you'll have to go to another post office." She didn't even know what I needed or why I was there. That was how she talked to me before she even knew what I needed. I only needed tape to hold my shipping label and that was it. Which she informed me that it is against their policy for them to put tape on packages. Apparently a government funded company doesn't have tape in bulk and the employee unnecessarily tells me she has to use her personal tape to help me. Which she ended up doing after being unnecessarily rude and complaining about it. It's just really pathetic that a customer service company cannot even provide actual customer service or support. More like angry employees that don't want to do their job. I really wish they were wearing name tags so I can give everyone here and the owner of the building a heads up. Failure to secure the mail is a federal offense and one of the MOST BASIC of job functions of a mail carrier. How lazy do you have to be to not lift the lid, put the mail in and close the lid. No- lets try and shove it in the 1 envelop widw slot all at once and leave most of it hanging out. Someone could literally walk on my porch, fart and send the mail flying over the yard. This is pretty basic stuff. But based on my previous reviews and pictures of the same thing, crap service seems to be standard operating procedure. read more

Not even 10 seconds on entering we were told that they were closing in one minute. I honestly thought they would be really respectful the complete opposite, the sarcastic behavior and lack of work ethic is unbearable. They were mad that we had gone in a minute before closing not a problem I can go to the ups store I don't mind but I'm not surprised if they fire them which they wouldn't because they've mad it really clear that they're short staffed. read more

I went Monday morning to get my grandsons package to Chicago by Wednesday for his birthday. I waited for about 30 minutes in a long line as there was only one lady working the desk. When I told her what I wanted, she said even if I paid for the package to get there by Wednesday, it would not arrive until Thursday. She quoted an overnight rate of $45.00. When I asked her why it couldn't get there by Wednesday, she stated it's "that guys" fault. I said what guy? She said the Trump guy. I asked for the package back and said I could get a cheaper price at UPS. She assured me I could not I didn't go to ups as they were closed until 10, so went to the fed ex store. I sent my package to Chicago, overnight and it cost me $12.67. That's right. And the rude lady at the post office said there was no way.. I know where I'll be sending packages now. If I could give them a negative rating I would. Grasso Plaza Post office supervisors and carriers (that we have had) are USELESS. They will not help you find lost packages that say delivered, even though they were not. The supervisors have been rude and hung up on me while inquiring about a package that was marked delivered. She argued with me saying well it was delivered, when I tell her we have a camera on the house and I can promise you at no time was it delivered, then all of a sudden the tune changes and its let me call the carrier and I will call you back. That was two weeks ago. Also be aware that is you have a package signature required they are allowed to sign for it themselves and then mark it as handed to a resident, when in fact it was not. SO basically they are allowed to sign for and steal your packages, bc of covid this is legal. I suggest using ANY other carrier besides USPS. read more

Bottom Line: Clean, Moderate to Low Customer Traffic, Generally Friendly Staff Overview: I have been using this post office for as long as I have been on this earth. It has always been a good post office for my generic needs. A few specific observations about this post office: -When it came time to get a passport, they did not have hours posted for when I could get that service. -The drive-up drop boxes for this location have always been a hassle. I suggest just parking and walking your mail to them, when it is busy. -Folks that are new to this country that are shipping packages generally bring this place to a halt; it's not the employees' fault. -No self-service kiosk here -P.O. Unfortunately the particular route off Heege and Mackenzie seems to be a training route for carriers and some are not qualified to deliver pizza let alone mail. We get a good carrier for a few months then they manage to break something that was working great. More times than I would like to say a new carrier would not come thru until after 7pm and just this past winter we had a day they did not come at all. The last time a new carrier failed to come thru was 4/22/19 after 7:30pm and just last night 4/24/2019. My outgoing mail was out until after 9pm and I brought it in. The other issue is I have had to go to this office more than once stating that my items going out needed to be scanned at time of pick up. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this is part of there job and they should be doing it out of habit not sending a note with a carrier on any given address reminding them to do that particular one. Worst service in the past 10 years. This location is giving good mail carriers a bad name. read more

As a one time review, I give it 5 stars! I believe the lady I spoke to on the phone was named Paula. I explained that my fiance submitted a request for mail forwarding but that our RSVPs for our upcoming wedding were being returned to our guests. What a mess! We didn't know we would be selling the house when they were sent out and are now in a bind. She was very friendly and went to see if there were any in the office that day and there were. She said that she would get them back in the mail to the forwarded address and pull the ones coming in. AWESOME! Her understanding put this frantic bride at ease!
