    Ridiculous long line - always
    Molly H.

Truly the worst like the bane of my existence. Unfortunately this USPS is the closest to my home so I have no choice but it's always absurd. The line is out the door most days, even on weekdays, and there is never more than 1 person helping the HUGE line of people. It's also beyond dirty.

    Clean and nicely organized supplies
    Scarlett H.

Post offices always get poor reviews but this one is quite okay in my opinion. It is clean and neat with plenty of Mail supplies, greeting cards too. Post offices are often understaffed so most of the time people need to wait. It no exception here but the workers, despite the fact that they were busy, tried to be helpful by giving people info and instructions as they work to save people time. Their job isn't easy so I appreciate their extra efforts.

Everyone is welcome at the Nob Hill Post Office. The postal agent is SO polite!
    Joanna T.

I have so much respect for postal workers. I've had mail delivered at 7pm. These folks work 12+ hour days. They deliver mail, important voter ballots and make sure you get your mail in a timely manner. Neither rain nor snow nor dead of night will hinder the postwoman (or man) from getting their job done. Some of them are recent college grads paying off their college debt! Respect ! Working outside each day can be a physically tiring job. You will get fit carrying a bag or wheeling a cart depending on your route. Please curb your dog if the postal worker comes to your door!

One of the worst USPS locations. Tried to call and phone number is constantly unavailable and no way to get ahold of them.

One of the several persistent problems is the USPS Dropbox that they manage inside of Fox Plaza foyer. The single Letters Mail drop box is wholly missing the catch basin. This deficiency plainly shows the person who might drop mail there that the location's single letter drop is completely insecure. However, directly next to the single letter drop is a mail bundle drop bin. The mail bundle drop location still has the bin underneath it to receive mail. And labels for the bin show days and times of the week that mail is collected. But that bin has a cover plate that is partially loose. This allows anyone with a slim enough arm to reach inside the bin and take mail that does not belong to them out of the USPS mailbox. I've seen no posted notifications on the USPS site about this mail drop being decommissioned and longer being an available USPS Dropbox location. And there are new posted notices on the location from the USPS either about any decommissioning. The remaining label on the bin with days and times for collection also signify that this location appears to be still active. The security guards in the foyer of Fox Plaza still think that it is an active USPS mail drop location. And they even indicated that mail drop is available for use. On the usps.com website, a search shows the USPS still considers this drop location named as "USPS COLLECTION BOX" at 1390 Market Street, San Francisco, California, 94102 to be active. The same is indicated for another collection box at the same address. https://tools.usps.com/locations/details/9410200249 https://tools.usps.com/locations/details/9410200231 It's time for the USPS to do one of things with that mail drop location. Either fully decommission it by removing all bins and sealing any drop slots. Or fully restoring the job location with some maintenance.

Its quite a process to get into here. Show your drivers license, remove keys/phone, place items through scanner, walk through body scanner. I was appalled at their lack of everything: Communication skills, manners, common courtesy, common sense... I mean, I didn't expect much, but I really wasn't prepared for what I experienced. When you get there, they follow the same protocol as any airport TSA minus the boarding pass: (1) Show your ID (2) Empty your pockets and belongings onto a tray (3) Take off your shoes (4) Go through metal detectors Simple enough, but sadly there are no signs, they don't tell you anything and then they get upset when you look confused or dare I say it, ask a question. Mind you, all sorts of people come to this building so obviously, not everyone will get the hint the first time around. Luckily, for me I'm used to airports and since I saw others before me do what you're supposed to do, I figured it out. But here's what this prick asked me anyway as he took my ID: Prick: "Have you been here before?" Me: "No." Prick: "So do you know how things work?" Me (thinking, um...first time here jerk so sarcastically, I say): "Never been here, but I'm sure I got it." I was behind this poor older, Asian woman who seemed to understand English but obviously didn't speak it (or chose not to speak it). She was just doing the best she could and accidentally took in a baby nail clipper and got in trouble for it. Omg, what could she possibly do with a baby nail clipper?!!!! Then, while telling her to exit the building, this OTHER prick looked at me and assumed since I'm Asian, I must be with her. REALLY?! Not all Asians are related, jacka$$. My only regret? I should have stood up to their racist comments! After I made it through that Hell, I was told to take the elevator (that looks like a service elevator) all the way down to the basement. Then, you have to walk through a blue hallway where there's absolutely no signal or wifi and since it isn't busy, you find yourself walking by yourself. Once you get there, only one woman works the station. Although she handled things well, the system took almost half an hour to reboot! She's an honest woman so she didn't sugarcoat the truth, but at the same time I think she didn't have to be so forward. Fortunately for me, she reminded me of my crazy aunt so the exchange was quick and pleasant between us. Overall, if you could get past the punks at the front, you could pretty much handle anything else that comes your way. And if you want quick processing time (once the system works), she'll get it done.

I gave him a document to notarize. He asked where the rest was. Omitting details for brevity, but I explained myself. He immediately escalated by asking why I was being difficult. I disagreed with the premise and pointed out that I was literally holding *all* papers out for him to grab. Instead of noticing and focusing on the actual task/service, he was more interested on "winning". I turned around and was bummed we didn't have an audience. Very similar things have happened in the past when I've asked simple questions and he just creates friction and unavoidable conflict. Hate to be an armchair psychologist but this delusional man - operating under the guise of charm - needlessly turns basic interactions (e.g. "just dropping off, where do I put this box?" or "hey can you help me with this label issue?") into degrading, gaslight-ey situations claiming the opposite of the the objective, visible truth while it is happening. Pattern behavior, not a one-off instance. Passable place if you don't need to interact? ‍
