At the beginning I did notice that the employees weren't the friendliest but when I started greeting them and connecting with them more, they turned out to be very nice and helpful! The lines are normally long so I wouldn't wait until closing time to come in or they will close the door on you. Overall a good experience!! USEFUL TIP : To avoid losing packages always ask for a receipt and take a picture of the stuff you are sending. There is always an option to buy insurance as well. read more

USPS have been losing my mail for years. Recently it was a payroll check for $1200.00 that was placed in the wrong mailbox, the check was stolen and cashed. I made a report and have to wait a year to get a replacement. Packages and most recently a document from the DMV were lost. Absolutely unacceptable. Listen, I have my PO Box there, the manger she is as sweet as pie and the employees that work the front as well try their hardest. However the people in the back while picking up my packages are just the worst. I say this because they have to keep into consideration that most Californians have the same schedule as they do. California law is to take a lunch before the 5th hour. The fact that they complain that they haven't ate lunch and that's why it takes them so long is bogus. They should go to lunch at 11 so they can be easy for the lunch rush for the customers that work and can only come on their lunch break. The other day I arrived at 12:09 from work in my lunch break and the guy unnecessarily took so long for everyone's packages. I was only 3rd in line and a customer let me in front because he wasn't in a rush and I didn't get attended until 12:39... ??? Really?? I pay a service... and I think it has to be obvious that the average Southern California works 8-5 so if they don't go at lunch then they won't be able to get their things. It's just rude and disrespectful... the way they don't care. If they took lunch at 11 they would be ready for the lunch rush... and if they need to hire an extra person is USPS hire them! Seriously if Amazon offered mailing I would never use usps again they work like ancient times. No courtesy or respect. They just don't care some days. They try to make excuses but there are none. The gentleman tried suing that they needed him in the front... so why make us pick up Our packages in the back? USPS needs to step up their game. With all the resources available they should be keeping up. I pay my service. Like dude if you guys can't at least attend me in a timely manner make sure to leave me a Key to pick up my packages after 5 pm. It isn't realistic. If I could give negative stars, I would. Waited in line for the guy to tell me I needed to get into a separate line to speak to a supervisor. I rang the doorbell, like I was told, and proceeded to wait there for nobody to ever answer. I walked back to the man at the desk and told him nobody answered. He said I needed to keep waiting. Over the course of the next 35 min I waited and pressed the doorbell no less than 20 times, only for nobody to answer. The guy said keep waiting...how f'ing long do they expect me to wait?! While I was waiting, I tried calling the facility 3 times to see if I could speak to a supervisor to let them know I've been waiting outside their door. Nobody ever picked up. This is the closest USPS for me, but I usually go to the Imperial Beach one. Sometime I don't want to deal with the traffic in IB so I'll come to this one. I use the post office often to send things out to my family and friends across the country or abroad. But every single time I come here, they are extremely rude for absolutely no reason. I understand if they're cranky but the post office workers in IB are cranky too yet they're polite. They don't take out their frustration or use a hostile tone to customers. I always leave with an angry face when I come to this specific USPS. I have no problem sending things out but the workers need to work very hard on their customer service skills. The carrier stole my package. I went to the post office and talked to the manager and they tried to convince me that "someone " of my family "maybe"took it , and they "don't know what else to tell me", but im the only one with the key. I live with my husband only in my apartment, and how come they think he is going to "steal" a baby blanket for our unborn child he paid for. Today my brother was here trying to pick up his mail. At around 2:30/3:00pm He waited in line and he was told to wait aside for the manager and she would come out to help. (Didn't get the lady clerks name) she was not helpful at all! My brother saw a lady (Maggie) he did not know she was the manager. I believe she was not informed of him waiting for her. (My brother lost his leg a few months ago at work) so he can not be standing for that long. The mangers started helping other people that got there after him so he was still standing waiting for her. Hello, I've been calling several times to these phone numbers (619)428-2075 and (619)428-2387 for days now... Yesterday a lady finally answered the phone, I told her about my case,she looked it up, and told me that she talked to the driver and that she actually delivered the package correctly, she asked me : It was a small package right? - It was NOT a small package, that's how i knew she was lying... She told me that she would call me today 3/10/2021, and that has NOT happened yet, I have been trying to call them but their phone numbers aren't working... Before talking to her, I received an email from "the management team" saying that it was actually delivered incorrectly.. so obviously they lack communication , I told this lady about the email, and she told me that she has no idea who was sending those emails. I demand answers, I have filed 3 times a claim, I call and I get no solutions, I just get different responses from different people, This is by far the WORST customer service I have experienced before... Something shady going on here. Today I had a package that was to be delivered. I was was tracking it all day, as the USPS tracker stated that it was out for delivery. I received a notification that my item was delivered. So I walked to the mail box to receive my package, but it wasn't there. I asked the mail man, if he had the package... he said no. I told him that the tracker stated that it was just delivered. I walked to my apartment to grab my phone to show him. As I returned, and showed him... he then found it. We had a package going missing a couple of months ago, and we never received it. We made a claim, but didn't here anything back. I've never had an issue with packages going missing untill the recent months. Either something shady is going on, or they need to get people that are more qualified for the job. I used to come here every so often when I lived in the San Ysidro area to drop off packages that the employees know my name already. Marilynn and Martiza are always nice to talk to and provide excellent customer service. Lines can be extremely long even in the morning so my recommendation is to start when doors open. Parking is tricky too. It got bad one time I had to park next to the grocery store because none were vacant. I highly suggest you get here early to get your postal services out of the way. read more
