I had to rush over there yesterday afternoon to get to my PO Box, because the lobby is no longer open 24 hours. If that was an inconvenient enough I discovered I was unable to get into my box, because the lock was disabled! It was time for me to renew my box subscription last month, so I double checked with the bank the next day, and realized the check I mailed had cleared payment (they were paid). I realized that it was some sort of mistake on their end, so I called that next morning in order to attempt to get it straightened out. Employee Danny picked up the phone, and seemed to be more interested in not helping me, because I happened to call eight minutes before the office was scheduled to open! "We'll be happy to help you after 8:30, he says". Later that same day, Kevin picks up the phone, and courteously took care of the problem for me. I ship a good number of items internationally which requires me to go to the post office. This location always provides great service. I especially like dealing with Daryl. He is a one man show. Not shy, extremely efficient and never afraid to say it how it is. This guy gets things done quick and isn't bound by the usual bureaucratic red tape that is common at places like the post office. Took my son to get his passport and after being treated like crap by bell gardens, paramount, and pico, for going in as a walk-in, I was rewarded by meeting Darryl. On 5/23 my package was delivered and I was not there to receive it so I decided to pick it up myself. As soon as I walked in. I was greeted & asked what I was there for. The gentleman in the front (sadly I don't know his name but thank you sir! ) had a great vibe and excellent customer service. Mr. Kevin helped on getting my package in the mailing room. When my regular mail lady came to the front with it. I felt bad for going over there and mess with her mail but it's been so stressful with my last package that was deliver from Whittier Post Office (still no response for the claim/refund I made) that I just wanted to make sure to get it myself. She was so sweet and helpful, give me tips to call next time and they will re-deliver so I won't make a long trip to their Post Office. Thanks Darryl! Our passports could've have been faster or easier. Passport services are from 10:00-2:30, which we didn't know. We got there at 9 and he gladly took us while helping others since he was the only one there. In and out in 20. My family has been going to him for passport services for years and will continue to do so. Great customer service too and easy to talk to. This post office is definitely not up to speed with information. I called TWICE to confirm if they accept the abstract version of my birth certificate for my passport. Both times they said YES! I show up only for them to say they dont accept. Their customer service as far as what the customer feels is not in touch. They can careless of what was told to their customers. Definitely will NOT be coming here anymore. Even though its down the street from where i live. Why do we need the postal service again? They continually run in the negative at the tax payors expense. read more

i usually hate going to the post office. it's such a stressful experience. i'm so used to the mean, short tempered, unhelpful employees but the employees at this post office is completely the opposite. RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! I go out of my way to never go to this post office again. Daryl was very rude and unprofessional. I was shipping out a package for a customer of mine. As I paid, the girl ask if I wanted cash back. I told her No (Mind you, this account is only for shipments and I never get cash back). Well, she still gives me cash back and plays if she didn't hear me right. I told her I asked for NO cash back. She looked at me dumbfounded and shrugged her shoulders. She didn't even apologize for her mistake. I ask for a manager and she is too shy to say much when he comes around. We were arguing back and forth how I now have to explain this to my credit union. Which in this case he was talking over anything I had said. It was as if he was blaming me for the whole thing. He puts the money on the counter and walks away as I'm still staying there. I now ask for his manager and she comes out. Very timid and apologizes for both employees and told me she was going to take care of it. As soon as I walked out, I felt like nothing would get done.
