I work in the Scottsdale Airpark area and often I am going door to door giving everyone else their mail and they are often coming into my office to bring me mine. It's getting out of control. Monday, I received notification my package was delivered, I was confused since I assumed it was too big for my mailbox so I went to check there and the other offices near me. But, it wasn't anywhere to be found. So Tuesday I patiently waited for my guy to drive by so I could go ask him where it was. His response was "I don't know I was off yesterday". Well that's not very helpful since the box contains medicine I spent over $100 on and I didn't have the option for insurance. Later that day some guy walked in with my box. I was overjoyed to say the least. When I asked him where my package got delivered, he said Costco. Seriously? Costco?!?! Good thing it wasn't delivered to Sam's Club or I never would have gotten my package. Kudos to the Costco worker who came all the way over to my office on his lunch break to bring it to me. Booooo to the USPS carriers who ONCE AGAIN screwed up. You guys are getting out of hand. read more

This is solely for the clerk named Linda. She should be put in the back sorting mail and not out front "helping" customers because she is certainly lacking in customer service skills. She yells at, snaps at and disrespect customers. When one complains she goes in complete denial and victim blames. She one of those that feel she untouchable because she a government employee with seniority so she can treat someone like dirt and feels she can get away with it. Linda was a very angry and sad person to me. Maybe I just caught her on her bad day but whatever the reason she should treat customers with good customer service not make them cry! I know it seems a little silly to be writing a negative review for a post office but I feel like it is necessary especially after an experience I had at the beginning of May - I'm also aware that this review probably won't change the attitudes of the employees at this location. I came here on May 4th to mail out a package that was going to be shipped out of the country and rather than helping me (I have never filled out custom's forms before), two employees (Gloria, being the main employee and another woman off to the side) embarrassed me / made me feel so incredibly stupid. I could brush that off but the fact that it took her well over fifteen minutes to type in the information that she pressured me to fill out as quick as humanly possible because she had to speak to every employee about other things, really irritated me but I remained quiet and patient. The entire time I stood there waiting, Gloria spoke to other employees about health care politics, assisted living, etc etc etc. She tried getting me involved also but how do you politely tell someone "I don't care please just mail my package..." They also questioned me as if I was up to something and had their eyes on me the ENTIRE time.. very unsettling.. This was me being very nice about my entire experience.. overall, the staff is completely rude and very obvious about being dead inside and hating their jobs. If anyone is reading this, don't waste your time. They will treat you like a complete idiot and like a criminal of some sort. Insanely disappointed. read more

For starters, I've been into this location a few times and most of the time there's a long line that takes a while to get through and the employees aren't really nice. Most recently I had an issue with a package that said it was dropped off at my front office and when I arrived my front office said nothing had come for me. I went as far as checking the room myself for packages and didn't see anything. I thought "how could the post office say they dropped off my package when they didn't?" When I called this location, where my package had originally come from, the employee said "your package was dropped off, your front office must be lying" and while they definitely could've been, they didn't have record on their intake book for me (which they usually do). I asked what I could do, to the employee and he said "not my problem lady, take it up with your office." So I did, and my front office manager managed to track down the driver and guess what!? The driver said "I definitely must've dropped it off. But I'll check" fast forward to about thirty minutes later and him dropping it off at my front office to say he left it at another location. I would like to say I will give 3 stars for bringing my package back, but this whole situation was a disaster and I wish I didn't get packages shipped here. read more

Just left this dump of a post office that has the rudest staff I've ever dealt with. GLORIA behind the counter decided to lecture me after I asked for a receipt of the one piece of mail sent .. GLORIA decided I needed to be educated on what receipt of sent mail means- and explained to me - at the age of 49 what certified mail is and how it works - and when I said , yes I know what certified mail is she continued her rant and lecture session - while holding up a long line of other customers. This is completely unacceptable and rude. The opposite of customer service - more like aggressive customer abuse and had zero concern that other customers were waiting in line. GLORIA clearly has a case of the Mondays. I'll drive the extra miles to another post office in the future although this is the closest to my home. Disgusted . My review is for employee Juan R. only. I called this station this am to see if they could help me track down an overseas registered package that had gone missing in Goodyear, AZ last week. Feeling negative about the situation, and expecting them to say" you need to wait 30 days to report this" or something like that, Juan answered the phone, quickly took my info and put me on hold to go check their shelves. Turning up empty handed, he said he'd call around, reach out to my carrier and give me a call later. I got home today and my package had arrived, much to my surprise. My phone rang at 5:11 pm (this office closes at 5) and it was Juan letting me know that he had been calling around all day and attempted several times to get in touch with my carrier in order to find my package. Fortunately it had been delivered without any tracking info. Juan went above and beyond in an effort to help me. I've never been impressed with postal workers, but wow, fabulous customer service and a huge thank you to Juan. read more

Ah yes, the Post Office. Usually I loathe going to the Post Office: long lines, grumpy employees, impatient patrons...you know what I mean. I stopped by the Hopi Station Post Office one morning before work to drop off my Mother's Day package and was pleasantly surprised. The line was very short; only one man was in front of me. Even though there was only one postal employee working the counter I waited no longer than two minutes. The post lady (yes, I still refer to postal employees as the "post man/lady") was very helpful and recommended the best way to ship my package. I was in, out and on my way. And my package arrived two days earlier than expected. Now I know the Post Office isn't so bad as I thought...at least not this location. read more

Mail carriers from this location are very hyper about you writing every single name down who will be receiving mail at your address... "Write all names down or I won't deliver any mail to you at all and will mark this box as vacant." Super rude, handwritten note I received in my mailbox... And yet after doing so, I continue to receive mail from not only the previous owner but everyone else in the neighborhood as well???? Not to mention it takes pretty much every single carrier I have ever seen on this route, probably an hour or more to fill the boxes because nothing is sorted. I've lived in lots of places and never seen a truck full of boxes of completely unsorted mail and a community mailbox open on all four sides while he slowly walks back and forth, front and back looking for the mail slot for every SINGLE envelope or card. Literally! One by one he puts each thing in each slot LOL! Walking back and forth, looking for the numbers... I feel like most other mail carriers have the mail sorted for each address and they just pop it in then move on??? Maybe it's so he doesn't have to be back at the post office, actually working for that government paycheck? Gotta love people who work for the government. Since it is all the same people, you can imagine the service you receive upon going into this location for counter service. I have left without mailing anything because people were so rude to me. I'm just trying to live my life, keep to myself and simply get things done on a day to day basis. I shouldn't have to dread being hassled by those I am paying to provide a service in some way. I have been using this PO for 20+ years and I have a PO box here. Ergo, I know what I'm talking about. This is a typical post office - run down, dirty, weird smell, poorly lit, and staffed by people who are not trained to give a crap about the customers' needs. Most of the employees are well groomed but they are also rude and totally indifferent. And when they make a mistake, the blame immediately shifts to the customer. When it comes to negotiating customer issues, the clerks typically explain that they're far too busy to be bothered. When the supervisor steps in, he/she most frequently employs the strategy of a blank stare and a shrug of the shoulders. This PO location perpetuates every stereotype of postal workers. And, no, I have never seen a postal worker as happy as the ones on the commercials. Here are the adjectives I use to describe the personnel at this PO: Incompetent Surly Rude Indifferent Slow Detached Discourteous Unresourceful Brusk Complacent Whenever you can, use the APC machine in the lobby when it's not out of order because dealing with the counter personnel will likely tick you off. But, my PO box is at this location and I really hate the idea of changing the mailing addresses for my businesses, so I'll continue to subject myself to the abuses of the personnel here. I could name the individuals who are most lacking in any semblance of customer service skills, but embarrassing them won't make them any better at their jobs. This station is an absolute abomination. Very difficult to get someone to answer the phone, even after trying five or six times over the period of an hour. The phone just rings and rings. Mail holding and mail forwarding services are unreliable, especially mail forwarding. Have had a postal delivery person stuff my mailbox until overflowing and then piled up mail at my front door even though I had a mail forwarding order/confirmation in place. Have tried FOUR times to rectify the mail forwarding situation, with no success. Simply unbelievable. read more

Awful. I did a hold due to a hospitalization. Two small boxes were left at my door the day the mail resumed but nothing else. I dragged myself outside to the townhome mailboxes and the box was so stuffed I couldn't even get the box opened. I've called this station for the past three days and each day was told the carrier would deliver the items to me. They didn't and I just had to file a formal complaint with the main USPS 800 line so they can start a formal investigation. read more

I had a prepaid label and the guy helped me tape it on my package. He was very nice and then a week later I came back in with another package I needed to send out. I didn't have tape and the lady that was working there made me feel really stupid and I already have bad anxiety and she made a big scene in front of everyone. And had the nicest experience and assistance from the employees there specifically the manager I believe who gave me some tips and tricks and supplies to hold on to to ensure fast shipping and correct labeling so shipping is never delayed! Four star inside service...just wish they would pick up our mail. We are set up as a business to have our mail picked up. Once to twice a week they flat out do not come for our mail. I am forced to drop it off at the postal service and it is very frustrating to say the least. I drop it off at the back dock and tell them no one showed up to pick up the mail and receive blank stares like they are hearing impaired. What ever happened to taking pride in your job? First time I ever walked out of a post office. All I wanted was to send a letter to Canada marked "do not bend." Simple? No! The person told me that people who send stuff worth hundreds of dollars should wrap it in cardboard and send it as a parcel. That had nothing to do with me. My letter was worth ZERO!! But the clerk never asked me what I was mailing, or what I was trying to do. This clerk just told me how other people did it wrong. So I will mail my little letter at another post office with a clerk that wants to be of service to me, and who won't lecture me about topics that don't apply to me. Thanks for nothing. read more

Postman and woman at this location have always been courteous and nice until today. According to my watch, car and cell phone I dropped my packages off at 4:59. The RUDE postwoman decides to talk down to me and states that "it is 5:01 but she will go ahead and take my packages anyways." If this woman thinks that the suppossed 1 minute is going to affect her work load, then she is not dedicated to her job and needs to take her postal attitude elsewhere! Our business has brought packages to this center for several years and I have never encountered a rude awakening from them only until today! Our packages provide job security and even if I actually was a minute late, she could have at least have been a lady about and not a postal b$%*ch! read more

Be sure to get a larger PO Box than you need as they will fill it with mail that does not belong to you. Our box is frequently stuffed with magazines/junk from the people and businesses that previously had our box. I brought this to the attention of the staff and they placed a note on our box however the people that sort the mail disregard the note and continue to place large mailings in our box. Many of the items are addressed to the prior person/company or current resident. Needless to say it is annoying to pay for a box when it gets filled with other people's mail. The staff is generally helpful however they seem to always be understaffed as there is usually a long line. read more

I've lived in the vicinity of this post office branch for 14 years and haven't experienced any problems until the past year, especially the past two months. I now have to keep a schedule on my desk of bills to be paid and their due dates because in the past 2 months I have not received a major bank statement, 2 credit card statements, at least 4 magazines that I subscribe to. The magazines are not disturbing, but the credit card statements and bank statement are a problem. I stopped in to talk to the manager at this branch and was dismissed promptly because I receive my mail at a UPS Store because surely it was their fault. I've never had a problem with the UPS Store, but the U.S. Postal Service did deliver a package of mine to a very nice lady and not to the UPS Store; fortunately, the lady brought it over to the UPS Store. I mailed a credit card payment from the mail box at the branch, and it never reached the recipient, costing me a late penalty. I now drive to the main post office to mail all items. I am about to file a formal complaint with the U.S. Postal Service. I'm not expecting much, but it might make the late fee I paid less painful. read more

Have been traveling back and forth from CA to AZ for 6 years and never had a problem before with mail forwarding. I resumed my mail from CA to Scottsdale and did the paperwork with CA po supervisor. Went to AZ po since they changed the keys and explained mail situation..young man very accommodating at pick-up window. In the interim I left an explanation in my box for the local carrier telling him my name, date service to be resumed. Tracking notice via internet says package delivered to my box. Not so, same letter and same new resident card only pieces in box. Rachael at the Via de Ventura po said I had to fill it out....but I'm not a new resident...well the carrier goes strictly by the rules..huh?? Carrier put the package in mail at PO without any change in delivery info. Still read delivered. So I obediently filled out New Resident card and by gosh Rachael called back and said I was now in good standing and my mail would be delivered the next day. Maybe just add a line to the New Resident card like please fill out if mail is to be forwarded. Bureaucracy at it's finest.. read more
