This is the USPS Annex for Menifee and works in tandem with their facility in Sun City to service greater Menifee. Both locations have very knowledgeable and helpful, postal service employees who are friendly and go out of their way to help you. Need a larger box, they may have one in the back they can give you. Need some bubble wrap, yep they can help you there, too. Today, I watched Dee go out of her way to help an older couple, with their postage and box... all the while smile and being gracious to them. It's my first time to drop off a large box for my deployed husband but the lady refused to take the package she said I need to do the paperwork online for it, then I can drop off the box. It's so inconvenient since I have my kids with me. Later that day I texted a friend that recently sent a box for her husband and told me that USPS in Murrieta gave her a paper to fill out then that's it. Lazy. Worthless. Incompetent. They will hamstring you if you're getting your mail stolen. They give every excuse possible to get out of doing something. Multiple times I came to collect my mail to be told they don't have anything for me only to check and miraculously find it. Incredibly cramped inside allowing only a few customers at a time. Long lines as a result. For the last 2 months, I have to come here just to pick up mail due to a broken lock on the community mailbox. This has happened previously during the government shutdown-down and that was their reason for the mailbox lock not being fixed (they said there was no one working in Washington DC to order a lock from). Well here again my neighborhood is in the same situation (another jerk broke the new lock) and now there's no government shut-down. So I why can't they fix the lock so that the entire neighborhood doesn't have to keep coming to this place?! It's so completely inconvenient. Especially in that they are only open 10am to 4pm weekdays and only 3 hours on Saturday. I needed to do some mail forwarding and address changes. When I arrived, I thought I was in the wrong place! It looked like a postal annex where only employees would go to pick up and deliver mail. It took me a second to find the actual public entrance. Once I did, however, I was greeted and assisted by what I would consider by far the most helpful, sweet, accommodating postal employee ever. You know the saying "going postal"? She was the exact opposite! Knew exactly what I needed to do, and got me in and out speedy and with a smile and a "have a great weekend". Love it!! read more

This is not a functioning post office. It needs to be remodeled or Menifee needs to build a real post office. They have very limited hours and, when they are open, you have to wait in a 30 minute line to get anything done. Then, the workers are rude after we have patiently waited to see them. They told us "NOT TO COME HERE" to drop off pre-paid packages. Is that not your job as a post office... to accept and ship my packages? This office needs to be seriously audited. My mail is frequently late and constantly receive wrong addressed mail. Now I'm dealing with lost mail and all I was told was that they needed a tracking number and that there's a lot of theft in my area. What's that have to do with not receiving my mail?? Not a fan of this location because it's really small inside, and sometimes parking is a problem. However, I will say that every clerk who has helped me in the last 4 years has been nothing but nice and courteous. Holidays are crazy just like any other place of business around that time, and this place is no exception. The line will be out the door sometimes, and that is to be expected due to its small size. If the 2 counters are busy, someone from the back will usually appear at the side window and assist by asking if anyone is there to pick up packages. That helps for sure. I would say be patient if you come here. If you're not, then go elsewhere. read more

So now when I order an expensive electronics item from Amazon and USPS tells Amazon and me "Package was left inside the residence's mailbox" I know the problem is USPS. The problem is when you complain they don't fix things. They are all so polite, sincere, nice, good people. Yet they never fix things. Year after year. Decade after decade. It's like they are messing with you on purpose. All smiley on the outside yet ... this week I lost another expensive package due to USPS. My parents like to send packages to us that requires a signature all the time, not sure why they do that! So of course I have to go and pick up my packages on Saturdays. This place is a disgrace and doesn't believe in customer service. Yesterday ((4/13/19), I went in there to mail a package & to ask about general delivery. Mailing the package was no problem. The problem was with the general delivery. We are staying in the area for the next 3 weeks. We wanted to have our mail, that is being held for us in Yuma, AZ, sent to us via General Delivery. This would be a one time thing. When I asked the postal clerk, he wanted me to fill out a form for forwarding mail. When I explained AGAIN, my situation, he didn't know how to handle the situation or how to handle General Delivery. He called his manager out to help me. Even the manager, didn't know how to handle the situation or how to handle General Delivery. He wanted me to do the same process his clerk said. He then told me I would have to wait until Monday, or sometime next week, to talk to the person that handles all their General Delivery Mail. We are full-time RVers, and we always have had our mail forwarded to us, via General Delivery. We have NEVER come across this problem before. Let me first off say I'm only giving a 2 review instead of a zero for the kindness of my regular postal carrier. My son is a Cal fire firefighter who's uniform was sent to our home through UPSP postal service...that was their mistake. Some companies only offer that shipping option The informed delivery has said it was being delivered on a Saturday. He drove down from Yucaipa to pick it up. It showed it was delivered to parcel box. The key WAS NOT in there. He got in his car to find the carrier since this isn't the first time they forgot to leave the key. He found the carrier on hus route,explained it was delivered w/o a key. The carrier looked it up,and said "sorry, I'll go back to leave it" the box was checked several times. The last time being 8pm that night. He NEVER went back to leave the key. TWO days later,and several phone calls to menifee post office,I find out it was a substitute carrier, I was told they were letting the carrier know of have someone go out to leave the key,but he'd call me back. And hour & half later,I was told that guy left,so I was now re-explaning the who situation over again. Again was told the carrier would bring the package to my door...as you may guess,no one brought me the package, however I picked up the new mail,so I knew they had been by. A 2nd time I had to get in my car to track down the mail carrier,she already knew of the situation. She said "sorry, the key wasn't or package wasn't in the box. It probably was delivered to another house...same numbers as mine,only a different street. My street starts with the letter R the other was L. Not even close. So I needed to ket the shipping Co. know. It wasn't until I explained to her it was his firefighter uniform for work! That she said she'd go look at the other people's mailbox. She did find it...in on a completely different street. Which I'm appreciative of her looking. In the beginning she wanted me to go knocking on the other people's door,I mean,really?‍ I was determined to get back in touch with the Post Master. I wanted her to know all the things I tried,even their website was not working to file a missing package. I had called 4 times, only to get hung up on. The is unacceptable. I'm not only upset about this whole AVOIDABLE incident, because this is NOT the first time something like this has happened. It's Been multiple times..there are times I don't have the time to get on phone during their "hours of service"...I've had neighbors come by on different streets to ask if this is our mail. Probably one of the worst post offices in the free world; Sun City Post Office is like going back in time to the days where gunslingers kept law and the Pony Express risked their lives to bring letters to those who would wait months for word from their loved ones. Surely this can be seen by the long line of elderly people who in their tired hands are clutching at their packages and mail in the vain hope to get their parcels out by the time the sun sets on the dusky horizon. Walking up to this grim scene I could scarcely breathe for fear that I was watching some long ago event where souls were doomed to reenact the worst day ever, over and over and over again. You can try to do everything right here. Show up and odd times. Early or late. You can even label and pay for your packages before you enter this purgatory for the listlessly damned. It doesn't matter. Nothing does but time. They just want to steal your precious time. This post office is a vampire and it will suck the life out of you with its archaic nature and slow service. No real drop offs or anything resembling a modern post office. Skip coming here I beg you. I fear that if I hadn't fled quietly and with haste that I too would STILL be in line. My hair turning grey and my eyes rheumatic with the dull sense that I used to be young, I used to live a life that was more than my never ending hell of waiting in line. It is truly ridiculous that a main area post office is this small. Living in Canyon Lake, to do certifed pick-up, talk to the postmaster (lots of luck) or schedule non-delivery for vacations requires a trip to their cramped little waiting room. When you get there, it's a 50-50 proposition that you'll find parking beside the building. The staff has been courteous but sometimes they are merely civil. Some may have been more user-friendly than others, but it's been awhile. I avoid going to this branch unless I absolutely have to. It would make more sense to lease space in one of the nearby shopping centers where at least parking wouldn't be an issue. read more

I purchased for certified mail with a return receipt. The document mailed out was of importance and it cost $4-5. However, I never recieved the return card back. So two months have passed and I was at the post office recently. I asked why did I not recieve the certified mail card. I was just informed that since COVID19 the postal carrier does not get a signature. Instead, they sign off on it. May god help you if you live under the umbrella of this Mail Carrier Annex. They have sub mail carriers (RCA's) that fill in for the regulars when they call off sick or go on vacation. These subs are constantly mis-delivering the mail on a daily basis with no accountability. Many of them think it is a race to see who can get done delivering their mail route the fastest. God only knows where the mail goes. I never get my packages when there is a sub. 8 out of 10 times my package will end up in another mailbox. No Accountability. The managers dont care, as long as the mail is not sitting in the Annex. They could care less where it gets delivered too. It is not that hard to deliver a route properly.....Please have a stand-up and thank the subs for delivering my package (AGAIN) to some unknown mailbox somewhere within the 800 homes on Route 12.
