The USPS had a well deserved bad rap on them, from let's say since the mid-nineties. But no more. Whatever, Postmaster Genera Louis DeJoy is doing, I'm a fan. If you believe that statement is an exaggeration, may I suggest stoping into a MailBox, Etc store and compare FedEx, UPS, DHL prices. Mind you, paying $0.73 for my Keith Herring Forever stamps may not be fun, but the prices from the USPS competitors, will make you wince. read more

The PO only had one worker and over 7 people in line, he was nice but slow. I'm not upset as much as I was just needing specific stamps and I never got served. I finally had to leave the line. A lot of people were waiting ask the way out to the lobby. Perhaps a second person would have been helpful. read more

There's another USPS closer to me, but I'd rather make the drive to this location because the staff here is outstanding. Beth, Jane (I hope I have her name right--she has beautiful long gray and black hair and is always so calm and helpful), and Louis are incredibly kind and informative. I can't stand when customers try to rush them and make remarks like they are "slow"--they work extremely hard and always stay professional. I once overheard a coworker, possibly a manager, speaking to Louis in a very rude way. A customer actually stepped in and told him that no one should speak to him like that, which really showed how much people respect the staff here. I truly appreciate this team. States they open at 8:30 yet when I call it says they are closed but does not say when they are open? At 10:00 am the phone finally says that someone will be with you soon, but after five attemps with the phone hanging up on me after waiting for five minutes each time and redialing again five more times with no one picking the phone up to answer questions? Amazing that this is normal for a government agency. Still waiting to get through, may have to drive to facility and wait in a long line just to get my mail box package that is locked in the large bin that will not open, eventhough I do have the key to the locker that does not work. read more

There's an older gentleman, Louis, who works here and he is amazing!! He's helped me on a couple of occasions when I needed to send out mail and packages. He's efficient in what he does and he's very helpful and friendly too. Today he helped me with Passport services and it went smoothly, he helped me with the envelope, and the address to send it to, and answered all my questions. Thank you, Louis! They have all of your USPS services here, great hours since they open earlier than most USPS in the area. And they have reasonably priced items for all of your mailing needs. read more

What a Gem! I am so lucky to have such a great post office so close and so convenient. Cherry Hills Plaza's, also known as Old Town Sun City is a bit neglected by the owners, but has some pretty great amenities, like 2 grocery stores several places to get your hair cut or fixed up, a big handful of banks, some fast food including Mexican, Dominos, Subway, and McDonalds, Dollar General a thrift store and about 40 mom and pop shops that cover everything from acupuncture, to breakfast, to alterations to Notary Public and more including a Public Library. It's what you find in the center of the Plaza's and that's awesome! a super efficient and polite US Post Office, heck I don't even mind if there is a line, they are that good. read more

We just moved so this post office is closest to us now. My son (18months) and I have a morning routine. He helps me carry some priority envelopes inside and he adores the staff. This location is near the police station and tucked into a shopping center. I don't frequent the post office often, actually I try to avoid them, but this one was a good one! It's a small office that I had to share about. Initially, it had a long line, but the employees expedited the service so the wait wasn't tedious. Janet helped me and she knew her stuff. I always have a good experience with the staff in this post office. Beth and Marty are such sweethearts and go above and beyond for everyone for what I can see and have experienced myself. The entire staff works fast to take care of those waiting in line and they let you know they will get to you as fast as possible. The self-checkout machine was too sensitive and a pain to use but they have made adjustments and is now working great. read more

Been trying to get a hold of someone there since yesterday. I live in Canyon Lake. I had a package from Amazon correctly addressed. Instead of Menifee it went to the Sun city. PO. They sent it out in a truck to Quail Valley....could not find address (duh.). Instead of sending my package to the correct address post office for delivery... they are sending it back. I am so HAPPY I am conveniently near this Post Office location 5 days a week because of where I work. I have never had to wait in a very long line and no one has ever been rude to me. I used to work closer to the Post Office off of Haun.That poor Post Office needs so much help. I don't know if they're just understaffed or unorganized but there hours of operation are not convenient whatsoever and their is always a line out the door. A small location in the heart of Sun City, this can be a difficult place to find. You have to drive inside the outdoor mall and roam around until you find it somewhere in the center. If you see the Vons, the post office is directly behind it. On occasion there is a line out the door so I suggest to learn to use the USPS Automated Postal Center machine( http://www.ehow.com/how_4962322_usps-automated-postal-center-apc.html?ref=fuel&utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=ssp&utm_campaign=yssp_art ). It will save you so much time but it can be confusing, even for a tech savvy guy like me if have a weird shaped box. You may have to just wait in line. Majority of the postmasters that help you are senior citizens (Sun City is a senior community) and while being very pleasant and helpful, they usually take their sweet time with each transaction. Next thing you know the line is farther out the door and you've been sitting there for almost 30 min. If you have any kids, I'd suggest not bringing them if possible, especially if they can't sit still for that long. Also, during the holidays.....plan to possibly sit here an hour. Nothing really I can say but it is what it is. You can try the higher fees at the postal annex or UPS stores. Some of those places have actually got competitive prices. Plus, it may be worth the extra money to get you in and out quickly. read more

I had to run in to the Post office in Sun City. The lines are fairly busy depending on time you go. The staff is always friendly and helpful. There's also a drop off for packages which is helpful if you've paid for postage ahead of time and just need it mailed, especially with current pandemic situation. My ranking for this establishment is 3 stars. However, I know this platform is to rate experiences. But, I can not help myself to use this online blog to expanding on customer behavior as well. I went around noon between 2-3pm. I saw approximately 15 to 20 people up in age not wearing face masks and congregating outside. I find it unacceptable and if you've lost someone such as a parent, wife, son, friend, or neighbor to Covid19. Then you can understand one's position on the urgent plea as to why you should cover your face. Again, I fail to understand why these individuals are choosing to engage in such wreckless behavior to not wear a mask and congregate amongst eachother. Its dangerous. I feel that with the current situation of this epidemic and because Riverside Hospital is running out of hospital beds. That everyone should respect one another and self to put a face cover on. If you value life you will cover your face! I personally would hate for anyone to lose a life or endanger the postal workers because we can not see past wearing a facial mask. read more

I've come in here a few times and I've always had great experiences! Everyone here works extremely hard and are dedicated to their job. The times I've come in has been quite busy, but they always do the best they can to keep people happy and make sure the waits aren't too long! Everyone is also extremely friendly and patient with me, I often have to ship internationally and I get quite confused and forget how to every time I come in, but they let me know all my options and help me fill out the right forms. They were able to answer any questions I had, which was amazing. I really appreciate how hard they worked during the holidays every year! read more

I've been to this location during the day and the employees were very helpful and nice. The reason for the 2 stars is solely because their sign says they close at 5pm, but don't bother coming here any time after 4pm. They've gone and locked the door. You can use the machine (credit cards usually don't work) right outside the locked area, for postage. But they've locked all the parcel drop-offs so you'll have to bring back your package to mail the next day anyway. read more

If it weren't for the fact that this post office is conveniently located near me, I'd probably never come back. One of the workers (had red hair and tattoos, older woman) made it a point to talk trash standing right behind me to a woman mailing something while I used their kiosk. They swear I cut in front of them but I had gotten to the machine before they were ever standing behind me. Super awkward and extremely unprofessional. Don't get me wrong the other reviews are spot on, it's small and the service from the half dead über angry postal staff makes ya wanna chuck a baby at'em it's that bad! Don't go to this post office for the staff, go for the Automated Postal Service Machine! This machine just shows you why the human postal counter workers just get in the way. If anything the post office should close even earlier and add another APS. All the 90 yr olds can do their old school crazy ass stand in line for Mr Cluster F*%k Hippie Postal Zombie between the hours of 6-10 AM. The rest of us can use the great machines the other 20 hours of the day. I would rate this post office 0 stars if i could. I called to ask how and when our neighborhood mail boxes would be fixed after being broken into almost a week ago and they said it was not their problem. I was told the whole neighborhood needs to come together to fix it themselves and that THE SIDE OF THE MAILBOX THAT THE MAIL LADY HAS ACCESS TO being pried open and broken into wasn't THEIR problem. So now i have to drive to the post office every day to get our mail instead of being able to get my mail from my OWN mail box in front of my home. So rude. Horrible customer service. read more

There are several employees at this post office that I feel need to be recognized. Tracey who works the front area for customers is the Sweetest and most pleasant lady to everybody she deals with. She is cheerful and decorates her cart for every occasion. Always uplifting and smiling to everyone. Beth who works the front counter is a Sweetheart. Like Tracey she is always smiling and cheerful to everyone. These two ladies are the embodiment of great employee's.in my opinion. I have owned several Businesses and I can tell you I would hire these two ladies if i wasn't retired. This is getting ridiculous. I've been trying to get a package delivered that requires signature from the vendor but the PO never even puts on the tracking info when or what day it will be out for delivery. I can't just sit around at home for days on end waiting for one package. The apartments where I live can handle this at the front desk but for some reason the delivery person isn't leaving it with them (and the tracking information says something about "the employee did not have access to the delivery location" - REALLY? So apparently the apartments employees are supposed to let the mail delivery person into my apartment when I'm not home or what? That makes no sense at all. Starting to doubt that they're even serious about making the delivery or just entering BS excuses into the system so they don't have to deal with it at all. Now that I've requested re-delivery one time (delivery was attempted the day after the day I requested, if they couldn't make the date I requested then they shouldn't offer it), I no longer have the option to request that the package is left at the post office so that I can go pick it up....brilliant. Now that I know that having it delivered isn't going to work out, I now cannot even go and pick it up. Pure awesome. I'm guessing that the only way I can fix this now is to go twice. Once to request that the package is held at the PO and one more to go pick it up. read more

I am a retired letter carrier with 35 years of service as a letter carrier working out of New York city.It truly hurts me to see the state of the United states of America postal service as it has become the worst delivery company in the country.THE letter carrier where I live makes mistakes on a daily.Place parcel in the wrong boxes along with the mail,when you call your local post office(Ruskin)they reply oh we have nothing to do with the delivery of the mail.You have to call sun city post office.When you call or go in person they just give you a whole lot of lip service.Say very sorry I will talk to the carrier and then the next day the same thing happens again...obviously nothing is being done to stop the misdelivery of our mail.This is a community problem not just me...SOME THING MUST BE DONE as it is right now when I do business with some one I will pay more just not to use the post office......A REFLECTION OF THE STATE OF THIS ONCE GREAT COUNTRY......... read more
