Easy to park in the lot, there's 2 letter drops (a blue drive up box and a slot in the wall that deposits into the building), as well as a locked parcel drop box right outside the lobby. The PO Box area is well lit and also remains open at all hours, which is convenient. Lines can get long at times but they move fast and the lobby is stocked with supplies. read more

I encountered the friendliest mail lady this morning! (My receipt says clerk 17). She was fast and efficient. The line was out the door but within minutes I was next in line. She helped me calculate how much it would be to ship my items in different envelopes/boxes they had, but found it was cheaper to ship it in my own box. Save those amazon boxes peeps! I knew they'd come in handy one day. With a little pressure on myself to get in and out of there, I just went with the small priority box I had my items in since my customer already paid for shipping. But now I know! If I could leave a review without a star, I would. I've lived at my residence in Wahiawa for over 7 years and not once have I ever experienced mail theft. And I'm calling this incident "mail theft" because my package (sent in a white bubble wrap poly mailer type envelope) magically disappeared from my mailbox within minutes of it being "delivered". I called usps right away and was unable to get through to a live person. I ended up going to Wahiawa Post Office the very next morning to see what could've happened. The lady at the counter called my carrier and he was certain he delivered to the right mailbox. Later that night, I got a call from a supervisor(?) named Jeff who apologized for my experience. Thank you Jeff. You earned your location a star! But no apology will replace the main gift on my son's Christmas list, nor will it refund my $291. It's sad that a lot of our lives depend on things that are imported, mailed, shipped.. yet we can't even trust our carriers!! Do better USPS Wahiawa! Went in to mail a package to my sister who moved to the mainland. They man working the front desk was super helpful and pleasant (I wish I got his name, was around 11:00am on Thursday). I returned with my package ready, and this time it was a woman named Kyu. I have never mailed a package before, and didn't write the shipping address as I thought there would be a label printed. Instead of politely asking me to write it, she made me seem stupid and talked down to me. I asked for pen after apologizing, started to write, and she told me to write it on the ground with attitude in her voice. I brought it down to write on the top where it has the box for addressing info. I put back up on the counter to which she rudely asked where I wrote it. She asked me how I would like it shipped, and I didn't know what the options were, or the differences. Instead of helping explain them, she just stated the price differences impatiently. My dad and grandma also expressed similar situations with this same woman when I told them about my encounter. Extremely rude, and impatient. Might I add, that I was nothing but kind to her as I just wanted some help with how to ship my package. Please do something about this customer service. read more

Super awesome that they're open on Saturdays. I was in and out of there in less than 3 minutes. I listened as they helped other customers and they're very friendly, patient and helpful. Makes it easy for the elderly and for people who don't mail items often enough to know what they're doing (which would be me lol). read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Scanned a picture of my new drivers license and a few other letters. Said it would be delivered, then lost it. I went into the store and the lady was extremely rude, condescending, and didn't care they lost it. She said it was a normal thing to happen and that's life. Located in Wahiawa on Lehua Street on the other side of First Hawaiian Bank. The parking lot is a decent size but especially around Christmas parking can be an issue. You can always find street parking if the lot is full but spots usually open up. A very small post office. There are 3 employee registers (usually 2 are in use, when it's extra busy there are 3) and the spot closest to the inside of the post office is where you can drop off "click n ship" packages. I usually create labels online and just drop off my packages... but once in a while when I'm mailing an expensive item or an item that is going out of the country I need to stand in line to have it sent out. I've never had a problem with the staff here. Everyone has always been friendly and efficient. They have free boxes (flat rate and such) and envelopes, and of course boxes/envelopes/tape/other supplies for sale. They do NOT have an automated postal center as Mililani does. This location is too small for it. Gets the job done and close to the BF's house so convenient for me! Open Saturday's from 9AM to 12PM. read more

Very small post office for a city this size. Honestly, too small. I visited this location with a large money order. It is sorta a long story why I was keeping funds 'stored' in USPS money orders, but as far as I know, when you walk into a post office to buy a money order, they will always take your money, all the way up to 1,000$ USD per, with no limit how many they will issue you (probably hoping that you die before cashing them so they can not have such an enormous deficit this fiscal year). Well, why was it that when I came into this post office, a post office in a CITY -- not a small rural stop with 1,000 residents on a good day, that they said, rather rudely, that they could not honour their own money order. If I could give them no stars I would. I'm currently sitting here in the parking lot actually taking the time to post this review because I'm LIVID. I stood in line because my package got jammed between the outpost mailbox door. Not stuck in the mailbox itself but stuck between the door. I was scared that someone might try to open it and take my package. Keep in mind this wasn't a super huge box. It was a one of those poly shipping bags, so it definitely does fit, I just don't know what happened or how it got stuck between the door but it did. So I went inside and stood in line to ask them about it. I'm a small business owner so I wanted them to try and get the door open so I could inspect the package and make sure everything inside was okay. I got up to the lady, which her name was Kyu, I told her about my situation and asked her if someone could help me get my package out so I can check it and make sure it was okay, and she said "no, no one can help you right now" and so I looked at her like "okay??" and I ended up walking outside and trying to push the door over and over hoping it would eventually fall down into the mailbox. I never leave bad reviews for places but this was absolutely horrible customer service. It wasn't like I was dropping off a gift, this was something that someone ordered from me, and I even told her that, yet she still didn't give a damn. I got a notification through my tracking number that my package was delivered on Monday; however, there was no package in my mail box. The next day I followed up with US Wahiawā postal service manager and she said she would contact me with an answer once she talked to the carrier. No one called me. On Wednesday I returned to the post office and same manager said she would call me back later with an answer. No call received. So, on Thursday I went back again and she told me that she would check with the carrier and get back to me. She called me back later in the afternoon and said I needed to file a claim online for theft. However my package was not insured so I won't be receiving any compensation. It's amazing that a package can make it all the way from the mainland to Oahu and get lost upon delivery day. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this post office. Last December a Christmas card addressed to me with cash in it never arrived and upon looking at the tracking history, it revealed that the card made it all the way to Wahiawa Post Office but mysteriously disappeared on the day it was to be delivered. read more

I pre-ordered a CD a month before the release date. The 1st 200 were to receive an autographed poster with the CD. I happened to be 1 of those lucky 200. As I anxiously awaited the arrival of my package for weeks, I was excited to finally get that email of delivery confirmation. I immediately grabbed my keys, ran to the mailbox and unlocked it to find... Absolutely nothing! I called the Wahiawa post office to ask where my package was. When I gave them my delivery confirmation number, they did confirm it was "delivered". So where is my package? They took my information and said they would talk to my carrier and call me back the next day (Saturday). Saturday came and went with no call. So I called them back on Monday. I spoke with the same person (who was friendly, by the way), but he said my carrier delivered it. I told him that it wasn't delivered to me. Well, guess what? There isn't anything else they can do. I was told that it is illegal for anyone to open mail that isn't addressed to them. Do you really think someone is going to be honest and return a package not meant for them? In WAHIAWA??? I think not! How the hell can you misdeliver a package with delivery confirmation?! I have had mail others' mail delivered to me. I am honest enough to put it back into the mail to have it redelivered to the correct person. But not everyone is honest. Especially if it's a package. So now I am left with nothing. I am out of the money I paid for my CD and autographed poster because the company that sent it has the confirmed delivery receipt. The post office doesn't want to assume responsibility. If I order the CD again, I don't get my poster. Screw you Wahiawa post office, more specifically -- my stupid carrier! Do your job correctly! Ok, so I had a P.O BOX there while renting out my house. A year later when I moved back into my house, I submitted a change of address so that my mail could be forwared back to my house. Sounds like a simple task right? What a freakin nightmatre this was for the second time, as the same thing had happened a few years back. I had checks, packages, and even my important meication returned to sender because evidently the change of address was too much for them to handle. I personally handed a change of adress form to one of the reps, I tried dropping one the mailbox, I submitted one oneline. Two days ago I personaly took the time to go to the post office to try and get this issue rectified, and to cancel my PO BOX in order to avoid any confusion. The very next day, my pharmacist called me to tell me that my medication was returned with a message saying the the package could not be forwared. I'm assuming that they were still trying to forward the damn package to the PO Box that I had just closed. I don't know what else to do. read more

First off, the business says it opens at 9 but for everyone else it's more like 9:05 or 9:10. First off, the manager at this location has absolutely horrendous personal skills. This place as well as other government agencies Has multiple people in leadership positions who are extremely incompetent in the way things are run. And lucky for us non employees we will continue to pay their wages and they will only keep getting promoted. My package is lost and no one has a clue where it may have gone.
