And I felt so bad because it seemed like the Clerk Jesse was small kine annoyed with us because we didn't know anything. But it's NOT OUR FAULT! We haven't sent anything out thru the post office in over 10 years! Last time was when my mom WAS alive living Oregon back in 2012. ‍ Last time they had signs and cost posted up for us to see. Maybe I didn't look well but, it would help if they did display it more in the opening area. However, he WAS REALLY PATIENT AND VERY KIND because he did answer all of our questions & helped us choose what we needed. Overall tho, I'd say this place is the best place to come to for mail out things because they're QUICK & not SO BUSY. Ok that's about it. OH! But know the parking in front is kind of small. They'll let you know the pick up times for UPS, USPS (think priority flat rate boxes), etc. so if you record the times in your contacts you can be sure to get your boxes out timely. While convenient in location, this U.S. Post Office with operating hours from Monday to Friday 8:30a-12:30p / 1:30p-4:00p making utilizing its services not very convenient for those like myself who work outside the home, or others who may have to use their lunch break for a post office run. On top of the inconvenient hours, this location has only one employee, so wait times can also be longer than normal. To his credit, the man behind the counter is always pleasant, personable and helpful even when you know he likely wants to wring your neck. Since the U.S. Post Office has their airport location less than five minutes away which offers a 24 hour self-service kiosk as well as later business hours and multiple staff on site available to help, my suggestion to you is to go off base whenever possible, but be thankful for this tiny post office as well.

Located on Joint Base Pearl Harbor on the Navy side of the base in the same building as the Regional Mail Center (Bldg 479). This Post Office is open from 12-3pm. Gerry is the current USPS clerk and he is a great guy, he always goes beyond the expectations of normal customer service. He is experienced and knows the regulations and can help come up with a mailing solution for whatever you need to ship. You will not find better customer service, Gerry is the best. With only 2 reps working it went surprisingly quick. A very small post office which serves your basic postal needs. You can purchase stamps, mail out Media Mail, First Class Mail, Priority Mail, Express Mail, and International Mail items. They have a small supply of "flat rate" Priority boxes inside the post office as well as "decorated" packaging that you can purchase. The post office itself can only fit about 7 people in line (comfortably) and it can get tight as people are filling out addresses or forms on the counter. During Christmas I've seen the line out the door (as expected with any post office) but since this one is small it makes it that much more busy. There is also a blue bin outside where you can drop off your letters and First Class packages (less than 16 oz) which will be picked up at the close of business. Hours: Mon-Fri: 10:00am-2:00pm. Sat-Sun: Closed. Even though the hours are limited, it's nice to have a post office inside the hospital... if you really need something mailed out and you're at work, this is a great convenience! Staff is friendly and the line usually moves quickly. (so long as no one holds it up!)
