Eventually, I found the window and purchased postage stamps from the nice young man. At first, I just wanted International stamps... Then, I saw a stamp with a black bunny on display. It turns out that a book of those Baby Wild Animal stamps have just two bunny stamps... along with foxes and deer. Ahhh... they're all cute... let's get a book of stamps, too! Since I was there, and the worker was so friendly, I asked where I could find Ry's Poke Shack... He came out of the office and pointed me in the correct direction... wow... it would have taken me a long time to find it! Thank you so much for your service and help!

I have only seen one man here, and he always wears his post office shorts. He has legs like pipe cleaners. LOL No matter whether they are busy or not, they always make unrushed time to help you, and you can tell that they genuinely like their jobs. I mentioned to one of the older men, who is always laughing and teasing them, how happy they all were, and he said I should be careful because their smiles probably mean they are plotting against me. The post office is tucked into a plantation village on Kunia Road, just look for the blinking light. Why is this me favorite post office? The absence of a line helps. I could probably drive here in less time that it takes to stand in line at a few of the closer locations. The mix of people is another plus. Because it is all outdoors, and set up on a lanai, the customers have a tendency to stay long enough to talk story. Nice to have a slow moment during a day. It is also the Postal clerk, who is as friendly as her clientele, and is happy to chat when she has a moment, but is all business and efficiency when she needs to get through the occasional line. So the next time you are grumbling about the lines at the post office in Wahiawa or Mililani, take a detour down Kunia Road. Take in the view of the mountain, breathe in the fresh air, and slow your pace in a more pleasant way.

We…read moretried to schedule an appointment online at alohaq.honolulu.gov for the Kapalama location, but it was booked through the middle of September. I checked this morning for the Kapolei location and their was a spot that opened up for noon today. It was perfect. He lucked out. We got here around 11:45am and there were people waiting outside on standby. The woman sitting to the right when you walk in checked all the paperwork: social security card, birth certificate and two proofs of principal residence. Then, she had him fill out a permit application and told him to wait for his number to be called. We waited about 15 minutes and they called his number. They gave him an eye test, processed his paperwork and charged us $5 for the card. Then, he had to wait to get his picture taken. We waited another 10 minutes standing in the picture line. He sat in the chair and took his picture. They told him to check his info on the screen to make sure it was correct. Then, they took his fingerprints on the screen. They printed out a temporary paper copy and told him the plastic card will be coming in the mail. We were in and out in half an hour. The workers were on it. They have a small parking area on the side of the building.

Legal proceedings in Kapolei, Oahu, Hawaii…read more.. Also known as Waianae District Court, the Kapolei Courthouse is located in the Ronald T. Y. Moon Judicial Complex. Thank goodness for clear signs... I found Courtroom 1A without needing to ask anyone. The bailiff was sitting outside the Courtroom. He asked for my name, but couldn't find it on the docket. Yikes. I was almost sure that I had the right day, place, and time... He wrote my name in... next to "Registered Owner of ___(license plate number)___". Whew... We went in, took a seat, and waited for the Judge to arrive. He started exactly at 9am. I liked his local accent. For example, he said, "When you're pau, don't leave right away. Wait for your paperwork." LOL! I was called forward first... I was asked to state my name. I showed my placard and received my paperwork. I was done very quickly! Thank you!

I've gone through two divorces now because I'm obviously a great judge of character like that, and my dealings back in 2016/2017 were nothing but helpful at this courthouse, and mostly were like that still until this clerk ended up being the one I dealt with the past two times. She started noting what I needed to correct in the document, then brought up a child support document that I already knew about and didn't want to file, nor is it mandatory, because I have the Guidelines Worksheet already done, and yes, I am trying to keep child support out of the equation as much as possible because as a child of divorce myself, I know it gives parents the wrong motivations to have overnights with the kids. I just want to move on with my life, and am fine to keep supporting the kids financially myself, but apparently this clerk somehow has authority over what I file, so she tore her notes off, told me that if I wouldn't do things her way, she wouldn't help me, and handed the document back. Apparently this lady has been a menace for customers since at least 2018, so I'm guessing she has tenure or connections, or something. So Kapolei, you have an amazing courthouse with very helpful staff, but this lady is the wart on your otherwise beautiful face and reputation. Please get rid of her, or at least transfer her to a position out of customer service. She's absolutely atrocious with people. If not for her, I would have given 5 stars.

I…read moredo have mail I send out to friends on the mainland and using the USPS Priority Flat Rate Box always makes it so fast and easy to send as whatever fits pretty much fits is a set rate as the medium box max weight of 70lbs is quite hefty. With that the box also has a peel and stick closer on each end is a breeze to seal without any additional tape is the best way for me personally and don't let the size fool you as it fits quite a bit of items. All ready to go I had my parcels in the car and since I was in the area decided to find the nearest Post Office which was quite easy though getting in there if you don't know like I didn't is a one way entrance but as it was a mellow day it didn't matter as I walked in and was surprised how spacious it was loved that they also have the Self-Service Kiosk which makes it easy to ship printing out the mailing label as well so you don't have to write on the box. There's a chute there as well to drop your box in but for some reason it was jammed but luckily they were open so I was able to give it to counter clerk but since postage was paid it could've been dropped anywhere but love this convenient location in Kailua. I drove down to our local Kailua Post Office and waited patiently in line to be waited on by a delightful clerk named "Kauwela" that was manning the entire 4 window counter by herself on a very busy Saturday morning. Her patience, professionalism and consistent friendly customer service, made my wait worth while. There were several customers in front of me that she treated equally with a friendly greeting, patient understanding and exceptional customer service. When my time to be served happened, I explained that I was here to pick up my package, showing her my pink slip that gave instructions to pay for pick up of my package. Kauwela quickly identified that the $32.00 fee was excessive, because the top flaps had a slight gap when taped together. She then removed the $32.00 fee explaining in detail how to insure this type of fee would not take place in the future by making sure the package is secured with flaps taped together without any gap. How refreshing and satisfying to receive caring, friendly and professional service as a US Postal Service Customer! I hope the Manager of this facility recognizes Kauwela for her commitment to providing exceptional service, going above and beyond her daily routine in treating each customer individually as her most valued customer!
