At onetime this was the central hub and then later it was changed to Gainesville now it takes just a wee bit longer to get to Jax. All the sub stations are sometimes limited in what they can do but here all of your mailing supplies, commemorative stamps,, etc. are available. Personally I mail all of my international packages from here. It would be best to avoid this location during mid-afternoon. It is smack in the middle of downtown all the surrounding employees come here during their lunch break to have their mail taken care of. Important to know that if you have a complaint or possibly a compliment this is the sole place to take care of that. There's a door/window that you can ask to speak with a supervisor personally.

One small package was left for 5 DAYS...2 in the box & 3 scheduled pickups that were IGNORED. Had to drop off MYSELF at the p.o. (with 3 other packages they left from the ignored scheduled pickups) on a Sunday to get them out. I called the 800# to put in a formal complaint, like I had to do when having the SAME problem in Mascotte FL. The kicker...this office NEVER CALLED to follow up on the complaint. Mascotte called me the next day & rectified the issue. That's the level of service the downtown P.O. delivers. So I'll take it as the F-OFF, use another shipping service (UPS) that it is. And they wonder why they're losing revenue! New one today. Scheduled pickup ignored (as the subs ALWAYS do), but an incoming box literally tossed at the (open) gate on my driveway. Why drive in for the pickup when you can just NOT do your job and literally toss a box from your vehicle window so you never have to get off your butt! Who cares about what's in it or if it'll get damaged...they'll NEVER pay out on insurance anyway! FYI - ALWAYS use 3rd party insurance!

For the past three years I have lived in Reddick, I have never seen it crowded. Even during Christmas time! They get you in and out quickly. There's parking in the front and side of the building and also a drive-through drop off for letters. My only suggestion would be for them to dust the front door more often. There are some cobwebs that hang out in the corners and on the door there regularly, but honestly, it's such a small thing. It's typical to see cobwebs outside many places in this area during the summer. Otherwise, nothing but positive things to say about this USPS location! Definitely recommend checking them out.

My local carrier often delivers my mail or small parcels to my neighbors before or after my box. My…read moreneighbors won't bring the items to me, but just return it to their mailbox delaying my mail a business day or two. If the carrier would deliver to the correct address, this wouldn't be an issue. Today, I had an envelope with a tracking number coming today. I got the text it was delivered to my mailbox. I saw the truck down the street when I stepped out to retrieve it, but it wasn't in my box. My carrier, or at least the fill-in or weekend carrier needs to pay better attention to where they are delivering.
