Zero stars if that was possible. My regular mailman is absolutely awesome! Problem is ANY sub plain REFUSES to pick up outgoing mail, regardless if it's in the mailbox with the flag up or ESPECIALLY a scheduled delivery. One small package was left for 5 DAYS...2 in the box & 3 scheduled pickups that were IGNORED. Had to drop off MYSELF at the p.o. (with 3 other packages they left from the ignored scheduled pickups) on a Sunday to get them out. I called the 800# to put in a formal complaint, like I had to do when having the SAME problem in Mascotte FL. The kicker...this office NEVER CALLED to follow up on the complaint. Mascotte called me the next day & rectified the issue. That's the level of service the downtown P.O. delivers. So I'll take it as the F-OFF, use another shipping service (UPS) that it is. And they wonder why they're losing revenue! New one today. Scheduled pickup ignored (as the subs ALWAYS do), but an incoming box literally tossed at the (open) gate on my driveway. Why drive in for the pickup when you can just NOT do your job and literally toss a box from your vehicle window so you never have to get off your butt! Who cares about what's in it or if it'll get damaged...they'll NEVER pay out on insurance anyway! FYI - ALWAYS use 3rd party insurance! read more

Awful! No one answers the phone. I had a package sent next day from Miami to Ocala. While I don't feel the Ocala office was at fault that it didn't arrive when it was supposed to they could've at least answered the phone to assist me in trying to at least pick up the package. I called and called. Was definitely hung up on a couple times and the other times. it would ring, ring, ring and then I'd get a busy tone. read more

What has happened to the mail system? Where did the uniforms go? The courtesy of service? The timely delivery of the mail? My mail carrier is in her pajamas most days, and God forbid you make an inquiry. Not to mention I'm not likely to see my mail till the sun's going down. You wouldn't in a million years believe this is a government job. And the post office should just be converted to a drop off location. do not waste your money on a P.O. Box I thought it would be better then waiting for the mailman... but it's not I don't get my mail sometimes for about 4 days or longer . they get the mail to the 60th street post office but don't put the mail out....I tried to talk to the post master and was told he is in the 1th ave in Ocala I go there and ask to speak to him and was told he would not come to talk to me he was to busy... For three years I have wanted to write this review. I have lived all over the world and send mail to and from small towns to large cities. The OCALA USPS is the absolute worst in timely, dependable delivery. I hope someone at the USPS cleans up this location with employees that are better, more qualified and professional individuals. We have mail that never reaches it's end point or takes WEEKS longer than it should. It is the same for mail we are receiving! I am not talking about packages, either. Just simple postage envelopes! I do NOT understand how this continues to happen. We live in On Top Of the World in Ocala. We finally decided to just take our mail right to the PO but that hasn't made a difference. So we cant blame the individual postal worker that comes to the door for that part....#make the USPS great again.... read more

It says hours are 8am -5pm....no one answers the phone and at 815 says the ossicle is closed. I have a letter supposed to be delivered to me and I have to sign for it....can't find out where it is? i went there to send off a package back to Temu, the person at the window stated that my package did not have a correct return label on the box, so instead of declining to take my package because of an incorrect return label, the worker stated he would take my box anyway. ( since he works there, and know the rules and regulations, I figured he knew what he was doing.) So I dropped the package off. temu emailed me days later, stated that they do not have confirmation that I returned the items, I explained to them that I turned in the items at the post office days ago. Temu stated that I needed to use their return label so they emailed it to me. I took the return label to the post office . but now my package is lost and no one knows where it's at because it doesn't have a return label on it. ... I do not know what to do. All my items were in the package and I'm losing money because I can't find my package.. why would the worker take my box knowing it did not have a correct return label on it? it's been since July 26 and I still can't find my box read more

Clerk number 69 Dee is EXTREMELY RUDE to say the least. Her customer service is horrible, and that's putting it lightly. For two years I've told my sister how I dislike having to go to her. I was like I don't know what this girl problem is with me, because I don't know her. She use to at the 60th Ave location when I lived over that way. I went in to mail off a package to my son, and daughter yesterday. I put my son package in a priority envelope. With my daughter package I wasn't sure how I would send it. So I asked clerk 69 to see what's the best way to send as in cheapest way to send. She quoted different prices, and I choose the cheapest. She gave me the total, and I asked her if she charged me for the envelope she just gave me a blank stare, so I said no more. Then as I was leaving she gave me a priority sticker I said what's this for? She said "anytime you send something priority you still need to fill out a sticker." I was so confused at that point, because I seen her with my daughters package and that's when I said oh I'm sending that package priority too. She said I gave you the options all nasty. I said well excuse me I'm sorry I didn't realize I had chosen priority for her package. So if that's the case why I didn't get two labels, because both packages were priority . So as I filled out the label at the other counter I was like she's so rude I hate going to her. So when I handed her the label, and proceeded towards the door she said don't come to my line anymore go to someone else, and don't be mumbling. I said what she said you heard what I said, and the argument started from there. She was yelling like she was in hood not at work. Acting all uncivilized, and I feed right into. I asked for a supervisor, and you would've thought he was her dad, or lawyer. I asked him her name he wouldn't tell me. Then he kept interrupting me. Then he called me rude. He said you can go to other clerks. I said nope I'm going to whomever is next. I said she's there to be of service to everyone. He said I tell you what we have four other locations you can go to one of them. He started calling off the locations. I said nope I'm coming here, because I live over here. I live three minutes away. He said bye have a nice day four times while I was talking. I told him I see why she felt comfortable yelling in the lobby at me, because she knew her supervisor wasn't going to do Jack, but defend her. I told I'm Black just like her. He said we don't do that over here. I said let me finish. I said we're treated like trash by everyone else, so we should make it our business to treat each other with kindness. Mind y'all I was in there on 8/23, and she was getting smart with me then. Then I was in there on 8/24, and I heard her coworkers say how she went off on someone. I'm thinking she's like I'm a federal employee someone come across this counter their getting federal time, and I'm in union I'm good. She better start rethinking that whole thought. Her supervisor truly act like he's sleeping with her, or trying to sleep with. Maybe he's related I don't know, but I wish I had recorded the whole incident, because my review isn't telling the full story read more
