This is a pretty bad post office, which is disappointing because considering its location, size,…read moreand historical significance, it should theoretically serve as the model for all the post offices in the metropolitan area. I've come here many times to try and buy stamps, and I don't think there's been one (1) time where they've had a full sheet of stamps for me to buy. They either have a half-sheet, 2-3 individual stamps, or direct me to use the kiosk, which I don't like doing. Second, a lot of the times when I try to use the drive-up blue collection box, it's stuffed full to the point of being impossible to even put mail into it. Finally, and perhaps most frustratingly, I had to mail something off after work one day, and dropped it in the outside blue box at 4:58 p.m., just in time for them to come out and collect it. Well, because it was an important piece of mail, I waited in my car for about thirty (30) minutes to make sure that they were going to collect it, and nobody ever came out to pick it up. So, as a result, it's going to look like I did not mail it out in time, when in reality, I rushed to the post office to make sure I got it off in time. The only thing that saves this office from a one-star review is that as a big fan of both minimalist and brutalist architecture, I love the aesthetic of the building. At first glance, it looks kind of ugly, but it gradually grows on you, and has become a signature part of the city's skyline. I just wish that I could say the same about the quality of service. While this post office might be the most accessible to most people, I would try to find a different location, even if it's a little less convenient, if you're able.

This particular item was not eligible for the clear bag and required a poly- mailer. I was helping a gentleman at the counter, and when he sealed my package, he told me I owed him for packaging. The amount was minimal. The point was he did not tell me there was a charge prior to sealing the pack. when I expressed my dismay over the fact he did not tell me there was a charge, he said that's why you had to come to the counter for us to pack it. Well, this was my first experience for I was directed to the counter for a return and the kiosk, nor the employee told me there was a "charge." I told him I would just take my item back and he said "I've already sealed it, so you have to pay" I tried to explain it was the principle behind what happened and not necessarily the cost. The gentleman then said "you know what- just forget it- I'll take care of it." Without admitting any error on his part, he made me, the customer feel as if I was totally out of line because I asked "why I was not told about the charge prior to him using his product. I usually have a positive experience in this store but today the vibe was not happening.

My concern began with what I felt was unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a clerk. As a customer, I expect to be treated with courtesy and respect, even when there is a disagreement or misunderstanding. What was even more disappointing was the response I received after bringing my concerns to management. Rather than acknowledging or addressing the behavior I experienced, the response appeared to focus on defending the employee. At no point did I feel that my concerns were genuinely heard or taken seriously. Customer service is not only about the interaction at the counter. It is also about how concerns are handled when a customer takes the time to provide feedback. In my case, I was left feeling dismissed and unsupported. Based on my experience, both the customer service and complaint-resolution process at this location need significant improvement. I hope management will take future customer concerns more seriously and view them as opportunities to improve rather than simply defend the status quo.

Parking can be a challenge when the shopping center is packed. I have either parked in the adjacent parking spaces and walked across or I have circled around and caught one in the front on my lazy days. This post office is small, and in the center of the full-length shopping center, but it is definitely in the cut. In fact, if you are distracted you may overlook it. I like it because most days, if you are lucky, you can be in and out. On the days when it is a line, it moves fairly quickly. The line is single filed from the inside to the outside as their Covid safety precautions do not allow more than 3 in the service area at a time. There are people in the lobby preparing their packages to then get in line or drop off. There is no regulation on how many people that can be in the lobby area. Once you get to the desk in the service area, there's a clear barrier between you and the agent with hand sanitizer present. There is a self-service kiosk here which I've tried to operate multiple times, but I just cannot get it or it does not service my needs. I wish there were more self service options to alleviate the need to stand in line. The customer service is pretty decent here as well. The agents will make you return to the lobby from the service area if your package is not completely ready for shipment. I suppose this is for safety. They do provide you with tape for your package which is extremely helpful. If you have questions, someone will step out to help you. There has been times when there has been only one person working the desk and the line has moved very slow. I either wait patiently or leave and return another time. This is definitely a time of challenge for us all during this pandemic time, so when you take that into consideration, this location is doing pretty good.
