I appreciated her patient and she even made sure I knew how to work the lock she went above and beyond to help a 60+ old Lady!!! If I could give more than five star review I would!! She made signing my storage contract super easy and clearly explained how to get insurance for my unit (which is optional). The manager, Eduardo, is honestly the most helpful person I've ever met. I was moving out of my apartment, dropping my things off at storage and catching a flight all in one day. So, you can imagine my anxiety when I packed everything into my unit except my couch which wouldn't fit. Eduardo graciously stored my couch (for free) in an empty unit and said it was OK to stay there until a bigger unit became available at which point he offered to help switch all my stuff over. I ended up moving out of the unit and having my items shipped to me less than a month later for reasons unrelated to my storage. Yet, Eduardo still didn't even charge me for storing my couch. I'm not saying you'll get over on the people that are at Alamo. I'm not promising they'll give you things for free either. But, you can rest easy that they care about you and your things and you'll get really great service!Thanks so much Eduardo. You are amazing.

Okay, so it took me a while to write this review because I wanted to make sure it does not reflect…read moreon all PS facilities. I had a WONDERFUL experience with the PS facility in south Long Beach whom I rented from for well over a year! I only left because I moved to Carson and the drive was frustrating. They were very clean, ALWAYS available in office during business hours, and everything was automated and futuristic. While it was expensive, it was totally worth it. This PS facility, on Del Amo Blvd in east Carson is EVERYTHING Long Beach wasn't!!! The facility is old looking (which wasn't a massive issue, as long as it didn't have pests. I put a ton of pest killer bait inside my unit as well). It's not temperature controlled due to all the unit being outside accessible. THERE IS NEVER anyone in office available during business hours whenever I needed assistance, which was literally only three times in the three months I was there!!! The last two times I needed assistance was to access my unit when the their was a closed padlock on the hallway door leading to my unit. There was NEVER ANY COMMUNICATION to us on what the code was to unlock it! Not even when we first got the unit! I had to call 10 times plus go back and forth to the front office before someone FINALLY came out to give me the code. Around 45 minutes total! That was the first time.... The second time, about two weeks later, I'll admit I got frustrated and banged on the window due to the office being LOCKED at the almost 10am and NO ONE answering the office phone! Upon me banging on the window the person sitting in the LOCKED OFFICE promptly decided to come out and yell at me to STOP BANGING on the window or they will call the cops. As they swiftly slammed the door shut before I could even speak a word as to why I was frustrated or what my name even was, I proceed to bang again since it proved to be the only way to get them to come out and unlock the door during business hours. We both ended up calling the cops. The cops came and stated that the employee told them I aggressively shattered the front office window...... Cops laughed, I laughed (through my anger), given there was no shattered glass or broken window in sight. The employee came and unlocked the padlock, I asked him why didn't he open the office door or why wasn't he answering my calls coming through to the office, they stated that I need to vacate within 72 hours as they did not feel safe with me around! HAHAHAHAHAHA! This is a grown man by the way...taller than me and I'm 5'11!!!! Anyways, the district manager is just as ignorant stating that they are only allowing me access ONE TIME this month to my unit with my belongings. I am working with my lawyer on this one. This is not a facility worth my energy. BTW, it's been well past 72 hours and my stuff is still in my unit :). I will be moving out end of April since I PAID FOR THE MONTH and they can't do anything about it without proper WRITTEN notice. I will be moving because I need a professional facility that operates as a business and not some raggedy, rag tag, unkept facility that clearly hires family members and friends on hard times.

My corporate account booked a unit here for me. First, different employees from their customer…read moreservice line gave me different responses about rules on checking in. When I finally made it into the location, it took the paperwork OVER AN HOUR for a corporate account 5x5 unit with billing on file. They required sooo much verification from me as if I'm purchasing a house. I asked thorough questions about storage unit access hours, code for the metal and glass gate and if I was good to access my unit when needed. I was reassured the access code was good to use, that the metal gate won't need and extended hours are 6 AM to 6 PM. I got here Friday at 8 AM. Metal gate is shut. My code is not working. Office is closed. I'm getting late for work meetings. I called customer service who after some time gave me a temporary one day code only. My code doesn't work at the glass door either. Again I use the one day temporary code to get in. I was promised a return call on Friday to resolve as I cannot work if I don't have access to my unit. Come Friday evening I call to follow up, again call goes to customer service line. No call Friday, no call Saturday. I call back today (Sunday). Call goes to customer service line who again says they've added all notes and sent emails so they're unsure why I haven't received a call to resolve this matter.

She has an issue with customers cleaning and decluttering their storage if it takes a couple hours. She called it the multi-hours policy and referred to it in the contract. Apparently, there's a time limit for how long you can spend at your unit to sort out things. So this is what a monthly minimum $100 fee buys you, huh? Funny how this wasn't mentioned at all when I signed up. She then started veering off on how she applied this rule to everyone so she can filter out homeless people who loiter. I would recommend using critical thinking to discern which customers are actually cleaning and decluttering their storage versus assuming everyone is homeless and loitering. I've rented with many companies, and have never heard of such a policy. I had to explain to her that cleaning and decluttering comes along with the territory of renting storage units. So I DO NOT recommend renting here. Mind you, the last place I want to spend my day is in a hot storage unit with no climate control to declutter and downsize, but if I need to, I want to know there's no micromanager who's sitting there with a timer. Ironically, she says the multi-hour rule is to not profile people who are homeless. So the solution here is to profile everyone. Genius. Had I not signed up with Elsa, I would have NOT given my business to this location. I'm questioning what kind of attitude customers would receive regarding any other concerns.
