Note to myself: Always check yelp! It could have saved me gas, sanity and time. I have so much bad things to say about this place and the manager aka owner. I am so surprised that USA baby brand let people like her run their business and give them a bad reputation. I guess that's the franchising business. First, the store is absolutely filthy. She doesn't clean it. If you want to but anything from the floor, it will be disgustingly dirty. Terrible customer service. She is lazy. I had a great experience with USA baby miramar in San Diego so when I moved to LA and found one usa baby I was excited. What a disappointment! I walked in the store with my MIL, who is really willing to get anything I need. She didn't greet us (manager), she was chit-chatting with someone. We walked in circles through the store and nobody came to help or greet. So we went to ask for her help, she came with a very inpatient attitude ( it was 5pm, they close at 6pm). I wanted, carseats, high chair and anything else that I could possibly need. I had to keep asking questions about the product, she was informing me anything, only responding what I asked. Luckily to her, I am a easy customer, and she had what I wanted right on the floor, so I bought both. ( it was filthy). Called next day and decided to order a bob jogger over the phone. She said, they will nay have the color I wanted maybe within a month. Ok. She got my cc information, my number and said she would call when she received them. One month had passed by and no call, so I called. She said we will be here Monday, I will call you. Every time she gets my phone number again. Monday came along and no call. I call. She said it would be there on wednesday and I just should drive there and pick it up. So I did, once I get there. She looked at me like deer in headlights. Ahh, I called you this morning, the jobbers are not here. No you did not call me. And I drove 30 miles! So she told me to just go back in the store in 3 days. This time I called first, and I spoke with her employee. Who told m that was no jogger nor she didn't even know about shipping joggers, that the manager was not working that day, and that I was not even in the system! I was done. Bought my jogger at amazon.com and paid better price. This woman, the owner is an awful professional. She dresses terribly and unprofessional. If I could give them zero stars, I would. Worst service imaginable! To make a long story short, I ordered a $400+ dollar stroller, paid for it over the phone. The manager told me it would arrive in 4 weeks. Waited nearly two months and after 7 phone calls and getting excuse every time of why the stroller wasn't in, never received stroller, asked for a refund over the phone, the manager said she would credit my account. After a week, did not see the credit, called the bank, no credit was given. Went into store to get refund (she tried to tell me she credited my card already until I told her I called the bank), finally processed credit. This just goes to show how dishonest the manager (also the owner) is, and saving money is not worth compromising service. I bought it at REI instead, paid more, but worth it! Would give it 0 stars if i could. Have never felt that way about any place I've ever yelped. I see that everyone has been venting, so I'll just hit the highlights. I basically had the same horrible incompetent service that everyone else did. 1. Picked up a crib that was in stock at the store. Had to order a toddler rail that was supposed to take one month to deliver. 2. Hadn't heard back in one month. Called and they said that they had the toddler rail but the wrong color. Re-ordered. 3. Another month, USA Baby says they are waiting for the factory to deliver it. 4. 6 months goes by and still no toddler rail. At this point it was a matter of principle. We go in person (one of a few in person visits). They say they have no idea what happened. We ask to look at the invoice. They have the WRONG address. They refund our credit card purchase. 5. 2 months later, still no refund listed on credit card statement. Go back to store. Finally get refund. In total, about 9 months of excuses and failed promises! We called the crib manufacturer to complain. They were wonderful and shipped us the toddler rail at no cost. I'm surprised that USA Baby, Torrance still exists. I feel bad that they are so inept at their business. What a horrible way to live your life and operate your business. read more

This is the most unethical business I have had the displeasure of working with. We ordered our furniture in February and were told it would be delivered 6-8 weeks. Every week past 8 weeks I would call to check and my calls were not returned. I would have to go into the store and was lied to week after week. The owner kept telling me my furniture was backordered so I decided to check with other furniture stores which carried the same line, they were not having any issues with the furniture MFG. So bascially they had lied to me for months. I ended up having to cancel my order and get it from another store. DO NOT SHOP HERE. There are MANY other choices. read more

Just read the reviews below- I had the same awful experience. My wife and I made the huge mistake of buying something here without reading the Yelp reviews first. We'd picked out a glider that was on a one day sale, but needed to be "shipped from the factory" because of a color and fabric choice we'd made. We were told the glider would be delivered in 4-6 weeks...which went by, when we were told "just another two weeks". This cycle repeated itself for almost another two months until we demanded a refund, which also never appeared- we had to issue a charge-back through the credit card company just to get the refund we were promised! Terrible customer service, poor communication, and outright lies. This business also seems to be experiencing cash problems, and is poorly staffed. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION AS YOU CAN- USA Baby isn't a franchise, just a loose organization of stores- this gives this location the leeway to be one of the worst retail outlets I've ever dealt with without any ability to go to a central office to complain. This horrendous store is now located in Lawndale on Redondo Beach Blvd and it's called California Babies. I actually had a decent experience the first time I used them over at USA Baby. I ordered the conversion kit for my son's crib and actually got it in a timely manner. So, I thought I would order the bed rails from them at this new location. MISTAKE!!! We placed the order on April 29 and here it is July 23 and guess what...still no bed rails. They claimed it would be 4-6 weeks and when I called, they have never called me once, about the whereabouts of the bed rails there was no, I'm sorry or concern, they just said well it's a special order and should take 8 weeks. Ok, then why did you write 4-6 wks on the receipt. There have been numerous phone calls on my part and the lady acts as if she has no idea what I'm talking about every time I call. One time she even said oh I thought this was taken care of on Monday. Hey idiot I left you a message on Monday saying I want someone to call me back and here it is Wednesday and no phone call from you!!! So, she then told me they were getting the item from another store but she can't guarantee when it will arrive. She tells me this on a Wednesday, and I ask her to call me on Friday and let me know the status of the item and if she has more info. Well, Friday, Saturday, Sunday goes by and guess what, NO PHONE CALL!!! I swear these people are complete morons and they are just taking everyones money in the hopes that we don't remember we ordered from them. So, now I'm going to waste even more of my time and energy by going in the store a raising a bit of hell and getting a refund. I only wish I had read these reviews prior to purchasing an infant car seat that never came... It's been one excuse after another with these people (Store owner Ilanit) She was very convincing when we paid for the product and told us that we would receive it within 2 weeks, delivered to our home.... The day of delivery would come and go with no phone calls. When we would call to inquire, we would be told it didn't make it on the delivery truck. This happened over and over until the point that I was now due with my baby and still waiting for my car seat.... I had a phone conversation with Ilanit telling her how disappointed I was with her lack of customer service skills, keeping us waiting, never calling to inform us of our products whereabouts, etc.. I told her that I wanted a refund and that we would go to the store the next day in person to which she agreed. Upon arriving to the store the next day she told my husband that she didn't have enough money in the til to refund our cash back. Needless to say I was very upset as she knew we would be coming to which she denied that I mentioned it. Long story short the cops were involved and we ended up receiving our refund - we were one of the lucky ones!! This should be an exciting and happy time for parents but instead it caused nothing but heartache, loss of sleep, and unneeded stress. I would never shop here again. The owner freq lies to customers and is very unprofessional!!! I ordered a chair and it took her 2 weeks to call me to let me know the fabric was out of stock. When I complained about this the owner argued with me and told me it was not her fault. I re-ordered and the owner never followed up with me as she said she would and I had to call multiple times to determine when my order might be available. After the date that it was suppose to have shipped I stopped by the store to inquire about the tracking number, the owner told me that she had no idea if the item had shipped as she had not followed up on the order. At this point I canceled my order, the owner was rude to me and my wife and I will never never shop here again. I seriously wish I would have read reviews before deciding to order my baby's crib bedding from here, let me tell u it has been nothing but frustration from day one! There is zero organization or communication between the two- three employees/ managers that work there! When I placed my order I was told my card would be charged that day needless to say I had to call back several Times over a week before the even charged it. Then I was told that it would ship on a certain day and arive a week later every time I called to check if it was in I would get the run around or be told I would be called back later which never happened, then after that week had come and gone I was given a different ship date of the day before it was actually supposed to arrive, ok well I thought that's fine it will be here the next week I was told to call Monday and it should be in, well it wasn't and when I call there service sux it's like I'm annoying them, so when it wasn't there on Monday they told me to call Wednesday since Tuesday they are closed. Well I called several times on Wednesday to no answer when I made the trip down there discovered there power was out and would be called by 10:30 am thurs uggghh ok well noon rolls around and still no phone call, I mean come on i just want to know what's going on!!! USA Baby is now California Baby in the city of Lawndale. I purchased my baby;s crib from USA Baby in December of 2011. In addition to purchasing the crib, I also purchased the toddler rail and conversion kit. To make a long story short, as of today's date I am still not in possession of my toddler rail or conversion kit. For an entire year, the manager has lied to me about the status of my items. To make matters worse, they reorganized and changed the name of the store to California Baby. Just like any other shady establishment, they moved and did not advise me of their moving plans. I entered the new location to pick up my items and was told that they had been sent back to their warehouse. I was told to come back on Monday to pick up my items. Monday was a holiday and Tuesday they were closed so I went in the same week on Thursday. I was told by the manager that my items had been sent back to the warehouse. The manager picked up the phone while I was talking to her and began speaking in another language( I believe Arabic) with the person on the phone. I asked her to speak English if the conversation involved my items. The manager turned to me and told me to F--- myself!!! Believe me when I tell you that she said the entire word. I have never had this experience before in my life. The manager told me that she would not be providing me my items. Stay away from this store, the people are not reputable. I spoke with a man on the phone who claims that he is going to deliver my items to my home. on saturday. Let's see if I ever recieve my items. I believe I will simply have to obtain a refund. FYI any USA baby store will price match.After doing my home work on line, through books and other mothers I ordered a crib, dresser, mattress and glider from this store. Not only did they only have one sweet sales person working every time I went in there, they are very under staffed. They did not know their product line either, I tried to order the stores advertised product and she argued with me that they do not make that model which indeed they do.. After paying for my glider along with the other items I learned that the glider was not delivered with the rest of the items that I had ordered and it would come in the following week. They would not refund my $$ and they then told me a story that another couple took my chair and would not return it. After many lies and a glider that never showed up, I actually had to call my credit card company to dispute the order for the glider. Do not waist you time with these very unethical people. I am very upset with this store and wish I had gone with a crib from Babies r Us two years ago. I ordered a beautiful crib that is supposed to convert to a toddler bed, and then to a full size bed. LAST YEAR IN SEPTEMBER, I placed the order for the conversion kit as well as the guard rail (that I would need by APRIL of the following year). The only reason I ordered so far in advance, was because my friends had a problem with an order that they had placed from this store/owner. Long story short, I have been dealing with my "lost," or "oops, sent the wrong part to us" shipment. It's been story after story, and just now when I called to find out what the latest status is, being that now I really need the guard rail, she said they sent the "wrong one," and then changed her story to, "the manufacturer stopped making that part, so you won't be getting that part anymore!" She was RUDE, and I can't believe I've been dealing with this since SEPTEMBER 2010! My friends dealt with a similar problem.
