Walked inside to pay, and the cashier by the name of Ira was the sweetest human being that I have met in a very long time. He was efficient, fast, helpful, kind and very HUMBLE! Hard to find people like him these days. Honestly, one of the best gas stations that I have been to and done a review on. We even had some small talk about different things. The tiny mini mart was very well maintained, clean, inside and outside of the gas station. Fully stocked. Had few snacks, beverages and a full load of drinks that had just come in. He apologized for the mess, when it wasn't even messy. I also needed to clean my windows and there was plenty of soap and water inside both buckets. Trash was empty, and the gas prices are a bit on the lower end. The pump I used was #9. All the pumps were working fine, and there were probably 10 pumps all together in the gas station. Usually around that time, trash and the station along with the mini mart is not clean. Well, this one was... Oh, they even have a bathroom that they allow everyone to use, unlike other places/gas stations... Next time I am in the area, this will definitely be my go-to gas station. I did not want to offend her so I told her that it was not her hands but the money (most cashiers do not sanitize every time they deal with money). Then I handed her a 20 dollar bill, and she snickered at me, as if she had caught me in action or something. Little does she know I sanitize after handling cash; it's just something I do as a matter of hygiene. So, needless to say this woman is very unprofessional and disrespectful. Rather than being of service to her customers, she is making fun of them, not even knowing their situation. So please owner, if you are reading this, do something about your customer service. So far so good for me. I was running on fumes so I really needed gas. This gas station does not have a convenience store attached. At least, not a traditional type of one. The Denny's across the street is possible one of the least enjoyable in the area, so this intersection of businesses (mainly on the corners) leaves a lot to be desired. Gas is pretty high everywhere in Southern California, but a little less here, being one of the only gas stations on the block. Recommend other Shell locations, over just filling up at the pump.

The employee pr oceeds to show me a $20 bill and says he can't give me $10 he only has $20 so I ask for the $20 and he points at the clock and says it's 9:20pm I can't do scratchers. I take my scratcher and he can't even scan the barcode on the protein bar so I tell him to forget it all. I walk back in to see him helping the next person with a hand full of winning scratchers. I will never give this location business and will make sure everyone I know in LA does the same thing. Normally I don't get that kind of greeting at any Gas Station. He was curt, a bit dry. A man of 2 words. Didn't like that. My pump # was 4. and I don't understand why there should be a 0.35 cent fee. Nobody knows. Not even the employees. It's not the quarter plus the dime. It's the principal. Regardless whether you pay cash or card. Looked around inside the mini AMPM, and everything was nicely stocked and organized. Needed to clean my windshield and the rest of the windows, but there was barely any soap and water in their bucket. The gas station wasn't very clean, and the trash was half full.
