I love the car... Except when I picked it up there was a crack in the windshield. A big one. Lyle had me pay for half even though it was not there when I agreed to buy. On top of this, the oil pan was entirely rusted through and the gasket sensor is off and constantly makes a check engine warning show up. Definitely not inspected thoroughly. UPDATE Mere months after purchase, the breaks failed. Avoid at all cost. I've lost so much money thanks to this business read more

I purchased a convertible Volvo from Lyle. I paid his son cash ($7,000) for the car. He had two sets of paperwork. One, he showed me paying the $7,000 and the one he reported to the state saying I paid a little over $3,000. He had a quick hand and only gave me the $3,000 sale. They never sent the proof that I paid $7,000. I was told there was a second key and it would be mailed. No key ever arrived. They stopped taking my calls. We trusted him as we learned we graduated together. Hes no where to be found and I have one key. The dealer wants $300 for a second key. HORRIBLE BUSINESS MAN! read more

Found the ideal car at Used Car Factory. Got approved for credit through dealer. Made arrangements to travel to Traverse City from downstate, a 4 hour drive, to get the car 3 business days later. My only stipulation was that the car be taken to a repair shop, also in Traverse City, for a used car inspection prior to completing the purchase. "Oh, gee, I don't think we can do that. We don't have anyone who could drive the car over there" for the inspection. No thanks, I'll keep looking. DON'T EVER BUY A USED CAR WITHOUT AN INDEPENDENT INSPECTION! read more

"Product and customer satisfaction Far below expectations" My college age daughter purchased a vehicle from Used Car Factory in June of 2018. She drove the car less than two days to find a "service engine soon" light on in need of service. After contacting the Used Car Factory's owner Lyle repeatedly about the issue and the $4000 repair, Lyle requested we take the vehicle to his service garage. Upon sharing the second $3200 severe engine repair quote with Lyle at Used Car Factory he denied ANY responsibility and offered no resolution, instead citing several excuses, including his lack of "profitability" on the transaction. Lyle refused to work with us on the repair costs at any level, essentially shifting the blame to us. We were on our own with this "ticking time bomb". And yes, it could happen to you. Again, we did all we could do prior to purchasing a "drivable" vehicle from Used Car Factory, and tried to work with Lyle personally & professionally keeping him abreast of all our challenges with this vehicle after purchasing to no avail. Our observation, take your vehicle needs and money elsewhere. read more

Bought what I was told by lying Lyle parrot who is a non American POS..that everything worked great and never in a accident...lies...it had been smashed in the rear and bondo back together very poorly...the door handles and lol the trim were actually just super glued back on and all came off the next day....the ac components were all bad and had a huge leak and rear ac didn't work at all....the brakes and wipers were so rusted they froze less than 500 miles....he said I even had to wait a day as he wanted to detail it for me...lies he took it out partying that night and when I picked it up it was dirtier and stinky and more scratches than when I bought it day before ....BEWARE....BEWARE.....BEWARE read more

Do not trust these guys. They have great looking cars but they aren't willing to work with you when your check engine light comes on a week after purchase. They will supply you with incorrect information & not follow through on their word. They great looking cars aren't worth the ongoing battle once you purchase from them! read more

I bought a car from Lyle (the owner) back in August and I also purchased the warranty he offered. I was told everything was covered 100% and they also covered rental cars as well. I go to make a claim on my warranty and am told I am responsible for tax, $100 deductible and I can be reimbursed for a rental if my car takes more than two business days to be fixed, none of this was discussed at the sale. This dealer is dishonest and will tell you anything to make the sale. I HIGHLY suggest going somewhere else to buy a used vehicle! read more

As we're trekking across the US, we have a basket installed on our tow hitch and this cannot use an automated car wash and had to seek out a self-car wash place. This place has both automated AND self-serve options. Three self serve bays, one of which is taller are available plus an automated bay. I arrived early in the morning around 7AM and used the first self-serve bay closest to the automatic bay. Read the instructions carefully before washing g to understand all of the features and maximize my time. The main reason I selected this location, In addition to being self-serve is because it accepts credit cards, which was much appreciated as I had already run out of quarters from the previous car wash and another state. What I really liked about this is unlike the other location that I washed that in another state, which you have to manually keep adding time to, THIS car wash site, once you activate your credit card, simply keeps the time running, which is great cause I didn't have to pause to run over and keep adding time. Simply press the button when you're done to stop the charges. I love that! I used pretty much every cycle type from pre-wash and high-pressure rinses to low pressure applications in car wash brush with foam. Everything worked perfectly, and all of the detergents were stocked and functioned as advertised. Zero problems, simple yet effective service. I couldn't be happier--good value. Thanks!

I tried to switch my subscription to the lowest amount (or cancel in general) because I like to wash my Trailhawk 2x a week, but clearly the agent I spoke to via email had a hard time grasping this and would rather take none of my money and cancelled my subscription. Now I come here only to use the vacuum and air.

This was my first experience with this dealership, which is under a completely new owner and management team since October 2019! Greg, the principle, was beyond courteous, honest, and fair. Marrying into a career car dealer family nearly 27-years ago, I learned quickly how an honest dealership should be run; Greg is definitely running it that way. He is very up-front about the cars on his lot, was forthcoming with answers, and took time to listen. He treated the whole sales process as something he was privileged to do 'for' me, not something he did 'to' me. Not at all a pushy salesman, he's really the epitome of kindness, someone you'd really want to buy a car from - and feel totally comfortable with the decision. There's not a lot of overhead here like the big guys in-town, so the price he gives is his best deal; I couldn't beat it anywhere...even after searching an exhausting 400-mile radius around our area. 5-stars for Greg and Used Car Factory; he's going to be my first stop from now on. read more

We stumbled across this dealership while cruising the US31 corridor for another car dealer. We traveled from Canada to look for a new vehicle for our daughter who lives in the U.P. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of vehicles on the lot - they were clean inside and out and virtually none of them had rust - a common sight when we looked at some of the other walkers hips in the area. Very friendly service, even offered to deliver the vehicle to the UP for us. Even got a nice warranty that covers all major components on the car for 6 years / 100,000 miles! Today didn't work out as planned we spent nearly 5 hours trying to get approved for a loan and the guy helping us was so patient and kind and driven to get us this car, he even bought us a pizza while we waited for paperwork to get approved, although we didn't end up with a car today it was still the best experience for the frustrating position we were in. read more
