I spoke to Bart at length about the trade deal. he said it wouldn't work out which was disappointing but not heart breaking. the reality is that I jumped through hoops to provide all my information and was ignored. I reached out to Kade and his immediate reaction was to 1) leave me a negative rating on Facebook marketplace 2) blocked me so I cannot leave him a rating. Bought a 2013 Chevy Volt from them last weekend, sight unseen. I would never buy a car like that, but after talking to them, and how knowledgeable they were on this specific car, I felt comfortable. The car had the options I was looking for, and only 12k miles, with a 1-owner carfax (Grace also supplied the Carfax upon request!)--bonus. They ended up doing a walk around of the car with me on the phone beforehand, since I couldn't make it up to look at the car, AND delivered it to me! The car is exactly as described, and that is in perfect condition. No surprises here. I couldn't be happier. So I give Grace 5 stars for their knowledge, great pricing, great description, car is exactly (better) than I expected, willing to go way above and beyond for a down-state ya-hoo like me (haha), and delivering the vehicle to me. Sold 16yr old a car of doom. After seeing the car on cargurus website I called Grace Motor Mall and talked to Cade. I explained to him I'm a single mom the car is for my daughter 16th birthday. I asked not to waste my time or his time and be honest what shape the car was in because I live an hour and half away. He said car looks good. I said well I have been told that many times and get to dealership and it's not. He assures me hes being honest because it's his dad's business and his name means everything would never ruin his name. My daughter drove her new car home when we got home she told me about the issues she had driving home. I called a very reputable certified dealership that was local to me. The car needs over $6,000 of repairs. It's not worth fixing. I called Cade regarding the issue and he was not available nor did he return my call. I then text message him and he replied if you want to discuss anything call Bart Lewis tomorrow after 9am. I called and of course he wasn't available nor did I get a call back so I called again in the afternoon someone did put me thru to Bart he called me by a differ name I said no he said oh thought you were someone else ( no wonder I got thru) he said he had to pull my file and look at my driver license because he didnt remember me or my daughter. He proceeds to yell calling me a liar and that his son never promised anything. I apologize saying I misspoke he assured me not promised. He called me a liar again stating his son never guaranteed a car. I said I never claimed he did. He continues to yell at me that the place I took the vehicle (which he had no idea where) was trying to rip me off and that he can get parts at cost. The cars not worth the cost of repairs and that should tell me the place I took the car is trying to rip me off. I explained not at all they told me flat out the cars not worth fixing. He proceeded to belittle me stating numerous times that I signed 4 different docs stating as is and $5,000 is nothing. I said maybe to you but not a single mom. He says Ok it is alot of money I have a $7,000 golf cart that needs work. I said no matter what the bottom line the vehicle should have never been on your lot for sale and just because I signed as is doesn't change the fact you ripped me off. He said they dont check there vehicles. I said well the prior owner definitely knew. He argued stating no they didnt and if you ever met them you wouldn't be saying this. I said its dripping oil and the fact that when you lift the hood the entire top side was cleaned spotless someone knew. More back and forth he final says if he decides to look at it that doesn't mean hes fixing anything and to call him back Mon or Tues, it was Thursday. Hes never available nor do I get a call back. He claimed his bad reviews were from people that he calls liars and I'm going to be so happy with Grace Motor Mall I'm going to say nothing but good stuff. After the above posted review on google I received a response from Bart Lewis he posted it saying Please contact our service department to schedule an appointment looking forward to addressing your issues and assisting as soon as possible. It seemed so nice like he was really willing to fix the car. I called and to my surprise Bart answered ( I couldn't even get him to return any of my phone calls before posting my review) He said I told you to call service and schedule an appointment. I apologized and said ok what is services phone # I just assumed it was this one. He said it is, let me remind you of what you seem to not be able to remember from our last conversation (prior to my review).He proceeded to tell me something completely different. I told him that's not what he said at all and I told him what he said to me. He claimed I was yelling at him. I asked if he was really going to be decent and fix the car or just wasting my time again. He told me I obviously cant hear correctly and then I went ahead and wrote a bogus review. I said i can hear prefect and I can speak fluent English and not to belittle any further. He told me he had alot of people around him last time we talked. BUYER BEWARE! Purchased a vehicle from this dealer about a month ago and my experience with them has reinforced the age-old "used car salesmen" moniker.....the least trustworthy profession out there! Basically, the visual inspection and test drive went well except for the check engine light being on. The owner's son told me he was certain that it was minor and would have their mechanic check it out in the morning if I could return then. I was told the next morning that the computer check showed a minor error code of a plug misfire and not to worry, everything was fine and that they would honor a 30 day powertrain warranty if something should go wrong. I had traveled a few hundred miles to look at this vehicle, so that may have clouded my judgement....not wanting to make another trip back. Granted, I should NOT have taken the vehicle with the engine light on, but they seemed like such honest people ("Grace" Motor Mall and all), and would stand by their word! Made it home alright, but when I took the vehicle in to my mechanic for an oil change and a check of the engine light being on, there were additional error codes for the Crankshaft Position Sensor and the Camshaft Synchronizer Assembly. They cleared the codes and wanted me to drive awhile to see if they returned. Two weeks later the engine quit, would not restart, and had to be towed in. This inspection revealed the same codes again and it was determined the PCM (powertrain control module) was bad and had to be replaced. $948.24 and 18 days later????? Several conversations with the son and one final one with his dad yielded the same result - they would not cover any of the repairs citing they were not part of their "powertrain warranty". I do believe Grace Motor Mall lied to me and that they knew all along there were some serious issues with this vehicle! So, I say again BUYER BEWARE! read more
