What a great place to do business. The wife and I went to Vegas to get a used service van for our business. Most of the dealers we went into didn't have any in stock (even though their websites showed them having several). We found just what we were looking for here and at a great price. Both the sales person and the owner were great to work with and even held the vehicle while we had the funds transferred to us from out of state. First of all they care only about $ and beware their "in house" financing with GOOD credit starts at 24.99% apr. Wow what a rip off. I witness Cynthia lie to me over and over again about communicating to me something that was never said by her and when I brought the situation up to Ray to make it right. This review is coming from someone whose own brother is a used car dealer and I STILL bought my vehicle from Ray at Sahara Auto Sales! Traditionally, used car dealers (or car dealers in general) have a bad reputation, right? Do yourself a favor: GO SEE RAY!! He will change your mind forever on how anyone should not only treat their customers, but treat people in general. My particular buying experience "story" is a very lengthy one; but, the details of the experience are what will show you why buying a car from Ray at Sahara Auto Sales will be the best buying experience you will ever have. Here we go: I was honest with Ray in that I searched (through my car dealer brother) everywhere in the country, for the model I ended up buying from Ray, and it just happened to be in Las Vegas. Ray knew I wanted the car badly, YET, during the test drive, he was completely honest in that it had an intermittent starting issue that he couldn't explain. He said it had been on his lot for awhile & he was considering wholesaling it; but, if I really wanted it, he would take it to the dealership & have it expertly diagnosed and fixed. With nothing more than a "yes Ray, I want this car" he had it taken in to be looked at. Almost two weeks went by, and I figured Ray just blew me off & wholesaled the car. Not the case at all! The dealership had the car that long, trying to recreate the issue that Ray was telling me about. They couldn't make it happen. Ray took the car home with him, I came to buy it the next day and Ray STILL confessed that the starting issue just happened to him that morning & if I wanted him to take it to the only other dealer in town, he would or we could scrub the deal or he'd give me a discount on the car (which was already very under book price). We renegotiated & he made the rest of the buying process as simplistic & painless as possible. Not only that, but the car needed a new windshield washer fluid tank & he said he would have that fixed for me, free of charge, just bring it in whenever it was convenient and he would have his personal mechanic fix it. I was working 7 days a week at the time and was never able to take him up on the offer, but I have no doubt if I asked him today, he would honor that commitment because that's the kind of man and businessman he is. I asked Ray how he does it, how he sells cars at such a great price & still stays in business? He explained that he doesn't buy bad cars. He chooses them wisely & owns his location (he's been there 11 years, I believe, that, in itself, in Las Vegas- is amazing!) & never boasted about "being honest." He simply IS honest. I urge anyone reading this review to read the other reviews, as well, as I did. Those reviews made me a believer & I am here to attest- you, too, will become a believer that there are still people in this world with incredible character & unshakeable honesty and integrity. Ok. This review is long overdue. The owner, I don't recall his name, was very kind to me when I was calling around trying to find out information about my car that I already own. I didn't buy the car from him. I was looking for information, advice actually, on how to ask my finance company for a better rate. I don't want to go into specifics, its a bit more complicated than just that, bc of my exact situation. I'm writing this review bc he took his time to research the "real" value of my car, meaning he looked things up online that only a car-selling person would have access to, and he gave me solid answers and advice, based on his knowledge and what he researched for me. It was simply a kindness on his part. At no time did he try to switch the subject to "Well if you let the car go, come down here" or anything like that. I had called around asking the same questions to a few used car dealerships with no one at all interested in figuring out how to get the info I needed. This man was the only one who did. And if he handles random phone calls with a genuine interest and without a hustle to benefit him then I'm inclined to think that perhaps this is just the way he is, and would probably be a good person to check out buying a used car from.
