I had to purchase a new set of locks from dealer. I stopped by Tuesday to be compensated for the locks and Joe was not there to help solve the issue. He called me Wednesday asking why I didn't just let them fix it on Saturday, or call on Monday. I informed them I tried to communicate with them Saturday, and I felt they needed to see the key in person instead of me just making claims over the phone. I also did not want to keep driving the car to their shop with 4/5 lug nuts. At first, Joe seemed to defend his technician a lot, saying they work on 100k dollar cars. I informed him that same care was not put into my car, (he disagreed) as EVERY single lug nut was torqued WELL beyond 80 lb ft of torque. It took most of my body weight with a 2' bar to remove a lug nut. Care was not taken on a critical step. Joe claimed it was a non issue as lug nuts too tight, the wheels won't fall off. That theory is true until threads stretch and weaken, or studs snap or wheels crack or rotors warp. I've been working on cars for over 10 years. I am updating from 1 star to 2. Though I do not agree with the way C&I performed the work, Joe attempted to make it right by compensating me for the lock set, and took a little off my bill for the service. For that I am appreciative. He also talked to the technician about the mistake, and apologized profusely to me in the end. I ended up having to also buy 8 new lug nuts which were severely gouged on the face from being too tightened. Management: Do not respond to this post saying you made everything "right". I have had enough aggravation dealing with your team, not being able to drive my car for 4 days, and missed time at work, dealing with this problem your technician created. Joe tried to lessen the impact of the damage financially, however, I will not be returning, and my review will be staying up. Everybody needs to be aware of what I experienced, C&I needs to learn from this. YOUR TECH DID WRONG.
