One vet there was not professional or caring. It was a total waste of our precious time, gas and passion. We went because the appointment was already made and there was no other vets available when the front desk made the arrangement. Most popular vets were all booked up and we would like to be seen as soon as possible. My plan was to have a vet to take a quick look at the pet and didn't expect anything more complicated than just that I have high standards. We are only grateful because the world is always full of abundance. Google review ratings was 4.9 because sometimes lower ratings had been taking off periodically. Friends recommended Useless Bay Animal Clinic when we moved to the island in 2014. We have been completely satisfied with all aspects of the care & service. All three vets are personable, knowledgeable & caring, so it does not matter who we are booked with. We noticed one difference, compared to the clinic we used in Bellevue. The UB doctors are less inclined to administer every possible test & every shot. They talk it through with you, weigh the pros & cons and if they don't feel it is necessary, they don't "sell" you on it. I use to go to this vet along time ago, started going to one closer to home and ended up realizing it was woth it to go alittle farther! I have seen all three vets there Dr. Parent, Dr. Bishop and Dr. Ryder and couldnt be happier. The front desk girls are great to. I feel confident in the care my animals recieve and in the info I am given. Think twice before bringing your pet here.I brought my pet here 3x because of blood in his stool.They did nothing.Not even suggest an Xray.I was told it was because he liked to eat grass.he also threw up yellow vomit.I told them,they did nothing.Finally I brought in a Bloody sample of his stool.they sent it out,got it examined and it came back Negative for anything Dangerous.Again no xray taken or suggested.Six months later I had my best friend put down because of a tumor between his lung and esophagus.If I't burst he would of drowned in his blood.he died six months after I first brought him in.If they would of done an xray or another form of scan,we may have been able to save him.He was only a 10 year old Lab.These Vets make my stomach turn.The stories that I heard about this place.Alledged misdiagnosis,wrong medication,or too much medication(Aspirin). Do what you must,but when your pets die too early,wonder why.In my opinion this vet is only good for putting down deer that get hit by a car read more

Dr. Parent is THE BEST. I have never met a kinder human being. I was an hour and a half from home when my neighbor informed me via phone that my geriatric beagle was in distress. Dr. Parent offered to come and pick him up as I wasn't able to get home quickly. That turned out to be unnecessary - but he still did a house call and peacefully relieved my beloved pooch from furthering suffering. What a wonderful person. read more
