I'm really picky with my martial arts gyms. I hate contracts, because it always seems like these gyms just want to sign you up and choke you up for money.. without becoming proficient in the art. Seeing that dilemma, I often use Groupon to try different gyms. I'm an adult and am not trying to train with a bunch of kids or more importantly train with people not trying to see me get better.. that's my big issue. I want you to see my progression and help me get good. I bought a starter session Groupon before the pandemic.. I kept in contact with the gym and realized I could avoid people and take private lessons. I take private lessons with Joey and he looks to my skill level and let's me train in a mask. Literally he never sees my whole face, unless I'm dying. I have taken a few privates already and they're "expensive", but other privates are way way way more expensive. I think Joey and the whole gym have taken to me because I'm serious and I want to be great. I have no idea what the contracts are like.. but tbh I'm a contract/collection lawyer so pretty much all martial arts school contracts are the same.. the key is if you don't want a contract.. don't sign a contract. I really like this gym for a couple other reasons as well.. 1.) there's an actual gym in the gym.. I need to be able to work out at my gym or I don't think it's worth it.. Joey has already told me I gotta work on some weightlifting and core strength 2.) unbeknownst to most people there's bjj, karate and Muay Thai here although being called United States Karate Organization 3.) I always like training with people who have been in major mma organizations or with pro fighters there are some here 4.) I do think they notice anyone in the gym because it's kind of a small immunity, and I like that it's not cookie cutter martial arts class So, in general you have to realize.. everyone's experience is personal. What's right for you may not be right for me.. but so far I like the personal attention with privates, it fits my lifestyle, and I have nothing to complain about because this is what I imagined I needed from an mma school. I'm not here to have a bunch of dudes try to break my arm or to feel unappreciated at the school. So two thumbs up s

A great family environment, with activities for all ages. Plenty of class times to work with most schedules

I've been training in martial arts for 18+ years now and had to do tons of research before finding my new school. And, for the facilities and price USKO cannot be beat. They teach Muay Thai, Karate, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu(Like regular jiu-jitsu but with a sexier accent), and assorted cardio classes including yoga. They have a great set up, two locations, huge gym and even showers. Any equipment you need for practice whether it's an open matt or heavy bag with everything in between. Make sure you purchase your own equipment when you start. This school was nice enough to offer loaner gear for me when I was starting out but, like all loaner gear it is not something you want to wear for too long(kinda smelly) ^_^. All of the head instructors are pro fighters or training to go pro. and the main instructor has fought with the K-1 promotion. In the traditional classes you have instructors with years of experience and the school even hosts the occasional fight seminar with an established pro fighter. I liked that the environment was safe for the kids but still made sure they practiced practical self defense. For sure worth a look.

This gym is truly something special. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcomed--like you're part of a community, not just a member. I love seeing the friendly faces of Chris , Jonathan and Alissa . The atmosphere is positive, inclusive, and full of energy. The coaches and gym owners are incredible. They're not just knowledgeable--they're genuinely supportive and make every workout fun and engaging. They take the time to get to know you, understand your goals, and push you in the best way possible. I've never felt so motivated and excited to show up and work out even at 5 am . One of the things I love most is that the workouts are different every time. You never get bored, and your body is always challenged in new ways. Whether you're just starting your fitness journey or looking to level up, this is the place to be. Thankful for this gym for helping me meet my fitness goals . I am stronger and healthier since joining and I can't recommend it enough .

They have gone above and beyond for my fitness journey but my healthy and wellness journey as well. Working out with Justin has been a top notch experience, I love how the program I am in is completely tailored to all of my personal goals. Every day I feel stronger and more motivated to be my best self. This has truly been the best experience and best environment for personal AND mental growth. Additionally I am obsessed with their wellness side. With their infrared sauna, red light therapy and spray tan offerings makes this place a one stop shop. I greatly appreciate not having to make extra stops to promote my health and recovery. They have really educated me on the importance of self care and recovery. I was so tired of competing for space at mainstream gyms and not feeling like their additional offerings gave me the privacy I needed which is why Elite Fitness & Elite Wellness & Recovery is the best! What a Riverside gem! I would highly recommend giving them your business!

I decided this gym was not for me. I reached out to the owner Jarrod and told him I was canceling my membership I knew I had to give him a 30day notice so. I allowed the final monthly charge out of good faith. After a failed attempt to convince me to stay, he agreed to cancel my membership and my husbands. To this day he continues to charge my card for the monthly training. I have texted him and he does not respond. He must be desperate for customers. His gym looks pretty empty!

I wanted to leave an updated review after being a member for more than six months. I also wanted to…read morerespond to a review I saw here that I personally do not think reflects the environment of this gym. From my experience, this gym has been very safe and respectful for women. I have never been disrespected by any men here. I go at different times of the day, both mornings and evenings, so I see different groups of people, and my experience has always been positive. Overall, the gym is great. I really like that there have been upgrades with new machines being added. It's nice to see the gym continuing to improve the equipment for members. One suggestion I would have is adding more recovery options. The sauna is great, but many gyms are starting to offer additional recovery amenities. It would be really nice to see things like massage chairs, a cold plunge, or other recovery features added for members. Another improvement that could help would be organizing some of the machines a bit more by section, such as grouping leg machines together and arm machines together. Aside from those suggestions, I really enjoy this gym. It's a clean, safe environment and a great place to work out. The staff here are also great and very helpful. I saw some people mention that the blonde woman who works here is rude, but that has not been my experience at all. She has always been very nice. She may have a strong voice and might come across as serious at first, but once you talk to her she is actually very kind. She may just not be a super bubbly person, and that's okay because everyone has different personalities. I would also like to point out that all of the employees here have been nice and respectful. But I do hope the owner see my review and does consider adding more recovery options : ) That would be Greattt !!!

Be very careful with Fitness Mania…read more My membership renews on December 31st, but their waiver hides a clause saying you must email them by December 25th or they won't process your cancellation until the next billing cycle -- meaning you get charged again even if you cancel before renewal. When I called, I was told this was "part of the waiver I signed" in a dismissive tone. California has strict laws requiring gym cancellation terms to be clear and not deceptive. An arbitrary holiday deadline buried in fine print is shady at best.
