About 4 months ago I started taking my daughter here for Jiu-Jitsu and she absolutely loves it! Sensei's are awesome at training and making sure she understands every move. The atmosphere inspired her to now add another class Muay Thai! They have lots of different hours for the classes which is awesome for me as I am a busy mommy of 4. We love that she can jump right on over to Jiu-Jitsu as soon as Muay Thai is over. My daughter has learned so much already and she loves it! Definitely recommend coming here! Osssss! read more

Expensive and smells horrible. The building is falling apart and the mats are absolutely disgusting. I'd hope to find what I needed here but instead went to another local studio that is beautiful and the staff so friendly. I don't like showing up for class and the teacher never arrives or have the front desk staff treat me badly. A complete waste of money. read more

I signed up for boot camp and fitness kickboxing and I'm going into my 6 week. The first couple of days was hard for me but the staff along with others are very encouraging. I have lost 5lbs, 2 inches of the waist 4 off hips 3 off my thighs. I think this is a very good program along with you trying your best goals will be met. read more

Our family has been going here for some time and we finally have joined. Its been a great experience, the process could be a lil smoother but my son loves his instructors amd looks forward to classes. Im taking bootcamp and ladies are focused and challenged by instructor. This is a really nice facility. The staff was always really friendly. I enrolled my 4 yr old in the Pee Wee Champs program through the parks & rec dept. They are great with kids. I watched them discipline several kids by giving them pushups. It's fun to see the kids grow and gain self esteem. The teacher would huddle the parents after class and go over moves the kids should practice before sending us on our way, which I thought was great. If I have one critique, it's that the dojo smells really bad. They really need some circulation in there. The air is thick and can be overwhelming. ( I brought essential oil in my purse to inhale for relief.) Four Stars! Quality teachers, I was quite impressed. read more

Intense kick boxing class! The instructor moves fast, but this is good because you get your money's worth for the class. Randy (teacher) is fun & upbeat and helps the class stay focused for the 45 min we have. Highly recommend! I just went and picked the classes through the Riverside city classes. Both my wife and I have been training at USKO for many years now and we absolutely love it! The senseis have a great rapport with their students, both children and adults. They are so helpful and supportive in helping you achieve your goals and they make you feel like family. USKO is a great facility for children and adults! The variety of trainings for all ages allows for a well-rounded workout. Children have a choice of Muay Thai, Karate, and Brazilian Jui Jitsu. I know my chart reads 2014 and I don't know why, but I've been coming here since 2013. Since you guys open your first Corona, California location. I came from the other company. I've been a loyal member, I've been volunteering my time and money to help you guys. Plus when I go host events and volunteer at other places I bring you guys' business cards. I've passed out you guys' cards at the parks and so on. I'm always referring people to your company. I haven't given any problems and I don't appreciate the fact that - I'm being told that I can't come in until I give $47. When I said, I would bring it the first week of July 2018. Again I've been a member since 2013 and it's 2018. My contract is for $49 a month 2 or 4 times a week for Muay Thai and Kickboxing. If you look at my attendance I've barely been there. You guys have been getting $49 from me for years plus and I've been coming once a month, a couple of times a month if even. How many of your other members pay for months and they don't even come? How many members do you guys have still here from the beginning (2013)? Before June 2018 I was last there in March 2018. I am paying for months where I wasn't even there and I didn't have a problem with it. But I have a huge problem with someone being inconsiderate and money hungry. When I have been nothing but respectful, loyal and wonderful to this company. I felt disrespected and unappreciated. I was pretty surprised by this poor decision. I don't ever run business like this. I also thought that it's really funny that somebody is willing to lose a loyal member over $47 or over any amount. I thought this was a family business? When you have employee's calling to collect money, the correct thing to do is to train them to call someone correctly - How are you doing? We haven't seen you in a while. We were calling to check up on you and also to let you know that you have a balance due. When you have somebody sitting on the phone telling them: I'm having financial problems, I'm having this and that problem, I just Graduated from College with Honors and three kids - You want to give them encouragement, you want to congratulate them, you want to motivate them. You don't be careless and inconsiderate. I want my money and that's it. When your former employee Savannah (I believe that's her name.) called me - She was very considerate, encouraging, welcoming, understanding, always checking on me. As I stated before - If you guys aren't willing to wait until July 2018 for me to pay (I do not have the funds today.), I will take my business elsewhere and never return. I will be very vocal about this situation and I will never refer anyone to this company again. I don't have a problem with never coming here. I can find a closer location, where I am appreciated and respected. Were they have employee's that aren't lying and gossiping, that actually win matches on a regular. Where I'm not limited to just come on Saturday's with a coach that I feel motivates me. Now that I just finished school I have more time to train. But again I have no problem with taking my business elsewhere. No matter if I'm paying $49 a month or $116 a month or whatever the fee is, I'm going to be trained correctly. I'm going to be appreciated and respected. Since I've been training on Saturday's I've only seen two other adults come in. Sometimes there's a couple of kids, but for the most part it's just me. I wasn't hurting anybody, I wasn't taking away from anybody, I wasn't taking advantage of anybody. I stated that - I was having financial problems, I was suffering from depression and I was finishing up school, but that didn't matter to some of you. The classes offered here are excellent. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating, and they take a vested interest to help you improve. Pros: If you truly want to learn how to fight/defend yourself, the only good instructors there are Sensei Joe (the older one) and Professor Fabio who teaches BJJ and MMA, although sometimes it's hard to understand his thick Brazilian accent. Cons: 1. THEY RIP YOU OFF! What they do is put you under a 6-month contract, which means that you're stuck there for 6 months whether you like it or not. Unless you want to pay a $300-400 cancellation fee. The price is supposed to be $119 per month, but they make you pay SEVEN payments, not SIX which is bullcrap. So when you do the math you're really paying $138 a month. 2. BRING YOUR OWN GEAR. The gear they have is really gross and sweaty, not to mention a horrible body odor. 3. MMA is only once a week for an hour, not worth it for the amount of money you're paying, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is only 3 times a week. 4. Their Muay Thai is what disappointed me the most. The main Muay Thai instructor mainly focuses on the intermediate and advanced practitioners so at times he'll even ignore all the beginners to focus on the more experienced fighters, so it's really disappointing that they do not have a beginner class and intermediate/advanced classes. And there will be other times where the sensei wont even teach you techniques/combinations/counters and just stand there talking to other people while we all do bag-work for the majority of the time. Not to mention Muay Thai is about using your 8 limbs, and they exclude the elbows, and knees were very rare. I personally think their Muay Thai should be renamed as "Muay Thai Fitness Kickboxing" 5. USKO specializes in American Karate is nothing more than a watered down form of real karate and is more of a sport rather than a form of self-defence. They're karate from what I've observed is far too lenient on the students, where they would hit you with rubber water toys if you did something wrong, whereas in real karate, they would beat the s*** out of you. If you want to learn real Karate, and want to learn how to defend yourself I would strongly suggest learning Shudokan Karate or Kyokushin. Overall, I really was not satisfied with this dojo, and I cannot wait until my 6-month contract is terminated next month, so I can go train somewhere else. Take my word: DO NOT TRAIN HERE!!! read more

We took our son and daughter to a barbecue/ open house here after we moved to the neighborhood about 4 years ago. They expressed interest in going so we had them do the free lesson and they loved it. We signed them up. Our son who was very shy is now not so shy and both have more confidence than they probably would have had without USKO. Our son's goal for the last year or more is to be a black belt Sensei. He is well on his way! he is now a blue/white belt and is a helper Senpai for the lower belt classes and is beyond happy. Our daughter is testing for her blue/ white belt in a couple of weeks. They are both so proud and confident about what they do, I am so happy we made the decision to check this place out. very disappointed in the unprofessional management (poor communication, poor follow through and disrespectful to students unless you are Muay Thai or Karate...) For the amount of $ they charge the gym is very dirty and unkept- it was unfortunate because the yoga teachers were amazing and over qualified to work there... unless you are a Karate student - you will not be respected, acknowledged or helped out. read more
