I have a timid, sometimes reactive and aggressive dog, who needed a lot of help with training. After an hour consultation with Makenzie, we decided to do three day & train sessions where my dog would go to their facility for a half day of training one on one with Makenzie, three at home 1:1 sessions in my dog's natural environment, and three hour long group classes. The amount that I learned in these 6 weeks was absolutely mind blowing. Training your dog is about practice and consistency, and speaking your dog's language, and Dogtown gave me the confidence and the knowledge to be able to train my dog on my own. The day & train opportunities were a wonderful way to start. Makenzie would train my dog 1:1 and then would send me videos about everything they worked on during their sessions. When I came to pick her up, Makenzie would show me what they worked on and how I could practice it at home. The training sessions in my own home were incredibly helpful as well. It gave me time to practice with my dog(s) in their natural environment and refreshers on what we had already learned, and building upon the skills she was learning. The group sessions were amazing for my dog, and any dog, to have an opportunity to practice in a new, overstimulating environment with other dogs that she doesn't know. Since she is apprehensive around other dogs, this was amazing practice for her. On top of everything else, the team is so friendly and kind, and the trainers are so knowledgable. Each class includes a little bit of puppy playtime (usually at the beginning to get some of their energy out) followed by hands on training. You will learn skills in the class, but you have to practice then at home consistently if you want to be successful. They also give you handouts which are available online to reference. Our puppy still has a ways to go but he has learned a lot and so have we. They use positive reinforcement, no punishment, and they really help you to build a bond with your dog. Kelsey, the trainer, was amazing, as well as the rest of the staff assisting her. You can tell they all really love dogs and enjoy their job. I was a little nervous about trying to do a class during covid but it hasn't been an issue at all. The classroom is quite large and everyone wears masks and are more than 6 feet away. It's nice that they've taken more than the necessary precautions to make everyone feel safe. It was also nice to meet other puppies and puppy parents who are encountering the same difficulties you are. It's nice to know you're not alone! Having a puppy sometimes feels like having a newborn all over again and not knowing what the hell you're doing! :) They also offer puppy playtime sessions on Saturdays (I think on Sundays too sometimes). It's only $5 and a great way to socialize your puppy and wear them out. You get 3 free sessions when you sign up for a class and a few 1/2 off daycare dates with your class. There's also a retail store. They have treats, toys, food, harnesses, leashes, etc. In my opinion it's the best selection I've seen. Pet stores may carry more options, but these are more like "the best of the best" options. They seem very handpicked. Things that are really hard to find, you can find here. Our puppy loves the beef tendons, and they last him a long time unlike other treats/chews. They carry lots of other treats like cow ears, pork pizzles, beef tracheas, cow tails, bully sticks, etc. They will recommend products in class which I think is nice if you're a little lost, but never pushy about buying their products. I bought a snuffle mat from Amazon and that was a big mistake. He tore it up pretty easily, and just tipped it over to get all the food out, haha. So I was hesitant to try again, but calling all dogs make theirs in house so after "sampling" it in class, I thought it would be a good purchase. The fabric is much stronger and the mat is weighted so he can't pick it up. It's a great way to occupy him for a bit and calm him down. I'll definitely be back to buy more products/treats from them. I would highly highly recommend Calling All Dogs to anyone looking for puppy classes or even for their older dog. They offer some cool specialized classes like agility, scent work and tricks, which we plan on doing later. I haven't seen any other places with such a huge variety of classes. I hope you check it out, you won't regret it!

Make sure you know what you are getting into and if you need a trainer with a heart, this is NOT the place. they don't even look at your dog in the eyes, --they don't pet it ever- or treat it with love. I learned the hard way. It's been 4 months and my dog still isn't her old self. I have a clinical PhD and this is not how animals learn to behave in a safe, loving world.

The first incident, which was fairly minor, our 4.5 month old pup was kenneled for an hour during play time, and they lied to me saying it was a "10 minute break" and only brought her back out after I called to ask where she was. The second incident in January, Kimber was 5.5 months old and was there for 11 hours. She was kenneled for 9 of those hours with no explanation from staff. She also contracted giardia and coccidia from this location- costing us in numerous vet visits for testing and medication. NOW the big incident! April 2026, at 7.5 months old we decided to give them another chance in a bit of an emergent situation when we needed care for Kimber. Kimber is 35lbs. They placed her in the play yard with 25-30 BIG dogs that were twice her size, with ONE human barely supervising. Her chart, that I updated the night before stated she was 35lbs. They lied to me and claimed it said 45lbs (I checked WHILE they were telling me this over the phone.) I demanded they move her back to the medium dogs and eventually they complied. Since then, Kimber's meetings with other dogs that are bigger than her have been concerning, with some red flag body language signs. All afternoon , the assigned staff was distracted and not paying attention to another dog humping her and another dog- also snapping at them and many other dogs. Upon pick up at 4pm that day, she has a HUGE gash in the side of her face. They have no explanation for this. We rushed her to the emergency vet, paid $916. This gash pierced her face all the way through. There is ABSOLUTELY no way a 7.5 month old PUPPY got bit that badly and didn't yelp. There was dried blood on her face, and likely blood on the floors. The vet said it didn't happen within the last 4 or 5 hours, so it happened sometime prior to noon, as the wound was already attempting to heal and curling in. My puppy was sedated for irrigation of the wound along with stitches. She needed antibiotics along with a cone and permanent damage/scarring. They refused to give me the names of the employees that were with my dog that day. Their managers play the pitty game and excuse their customer service flaws on their personal life problems- unprofessional. I received a call while on vacation a week after the above incident from one of the managers. They "completed their investigation" and finished reviewing footage. She said our dog was happy and playing all day and the injury is from a play, and therefore they claim they are not responsible for it. Despite us telling her that we understand play bites happen and our issue lies with the fact that our dog was in their care all day with an OPEN BLEEDING HOLE IN HER FACE. Our issue lies with the fact that they FAILED to "notice" a hole in her face all day because "she didn't want to be petted" and failed to alert us so she could get vet care. All the manager had to say was "well it doesn't matter what we say to you. You're unhappy every single time you bring her in anyway." I then brought up all incidents from January to now and asked her if I was in the wrong for being "unhappy." Her response was "well dog daycare isn't for everyone. If you don't like how we run our business, then don't bring your dog here." She was less than pleased about my reviews across different platforms as well. *I should add, I understand things happen. Dogs communicate in their own way. You can't prevent these things sometimes. Im not blaming them for the injury itself. My issue lies with the fact that they ignored this wound on her face. They claim they "didn't notice." And let it go all day with no call to us. This would be a very different situation had this been reported to us immediately. * AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY HAVE NOW BLOCKED ME BECAUSE I AM EXPOSING THEM FOR BEING NEGLEGENT AND IRRESPONSIBLE! ABSOLUTE ADMISSION OF GUILT!
