Update 04/2025: I tried booking another appointment through…read morethe app. A pop-up appeared saying BOTH my dogs were "too sensitive" at their last appointment and I couldn't take them back. First of all.. they NEVER mentioned anything to me. They just slapped it on my account and called it good. That's seriously unprofessional and cowardly, to be honest. Secondly, one of them has had 16 appointments at various Petco locations over the years, and the other has had 7 (yes, I counted). The ONLY issue that's ever been mentioned is "sensitivity" to nail trims for only one of my dogs. I put on her account long ago to not do a nail trims if she's not having it, so it's not like they weren't aware. And I KNOW my other dog isn't bad with grooms, and not a single groomer ever mentioned that about her either. Because this is the first time they've ever been "banned", I can only assume the groomers were not gentle enough, or patient enough, or anything. And not to mention, like I said in my original review, they owed me a free groom but refused to validate it. So now they're trying to screw me out of the free groom that I earned, by not letting me go back?? I don't think I'm allowed to use the words here that I'd like to to explain how mad this makes me and how gross those groomers are for doing that... As if this sort of environment isn't scary enough for them, add the wrong type of groomer to the mix and of course they'll become scared and anxious. Do NOT trust anyone at this location. They will treat your dogs badly and then say it was the dog's fault, and steal your money. 01/2025 Don't go to the groomers. They either don't listen or don't have the experience to do what they're asked. For example, I asked for short ears. They left her ears extremely long to the point where I'm not sure they even trimmed them. I asked for a 1" tail. They left 4 inches' worth. I asked for no beards. They left beards. Their paws are choppy. There's still hair in front of their eyes. And, they made me pay for a groom that was supposed to be free. Even though I paid in full, I still had to spend an hour fixing their haircuts so they actually look cute. If you're looking for a professional-level haircut, go somewhere else. Take a look at the pictures.. can you guess how the groomers left them vs. how I fixed it with kitchen scissors?

I am only giving a 1, because I can't give a 0! Whatever you…read moredo, wherever you want to go, fine. But PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE! We were local customers for our rescue aussie-poodle mix to this place for over 2 yrs. We walked away because my dog got an infected nail that was spilt and she had just visited, we took our sweet girl home and ended up figuring out there was a problem with her nail. I took her to the vet, $200 in expenses for that trip. I mentioned it, Melanie said she didn't know what Our dog went back and that the last time I WILL EVER take our dog there she came home with a scab on her sanitary groom. It was COMPLETELY raw skin. I have photos, but they are honestly too darn disturbing and gross to post, and they are photos of my dogs butt, so I'm not going to post those. But that trip cost another $200 for the vet and MULTIPLE meds. My vet asked me who it was, I told them. They reported it! They even made recommendations of people for me to go to. I demanded a refund, which I got. But there were a few times towards the end that I took our dog there and the kennels smelled like straight up urine. Melanie kept upping the prices, I have proof on my venmo account of when we starting taking our dog it was $45 before trip and then it was over $100 before tip by the time we ended services. Melanie was good at working us into the schedule at the beginning, but she grew way too fast and her quality of services and the lies became too much. You make a mistake grooming, fine, then apologize! Don't lie and cost me over $400 in vet bills for my sweet rescue pup.

TOTAL SCAM, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND STOP COMMUNICATING WITH YOU. I'd like to preface with…read morethe owner offered to take him longer, but after what we have experienced we do not trust them with our dog and have found a new trainer. We gave them a VERY difficult dog. We told them all of his behavioral issues and they guaranteed that he would be "off leash reliable" and they say their guarantee is "as long as it takes" and that all of the behaviors we gave were something they could handle (ie. jumps on people and kids, doesn't listen at all, counter surfs, escapes everything, chews everything etc). He is not only NOT off leash reliable, he has to be on a head collar, and e-collar and eventually a slip leash and e-collar as advised by the owner. How is that "off leash reliable"?beats me! They literally taught him sit, down, stay, heel, and place in a tiny quiet room everyday. No high distractions, no dog parks, nothing we were told upon leaving him there for 6 weeks. We were surprised he was coming home so quickly with all the bad behaviors we gave. And we were right to be worried. They gave us a 90 day go home plan that basically felt like they were telling us to train him. The schedule is INSANE and we both have FULL TIME jobs. The schedule also calls for him to be in the crate 2-4 hours after each 15-30 minute training I do. We talked to other trainers this week about what we've received from Wasatch Canine Camp and all other trainers take the dogs to HIGH distraction environments like dog parks, community parks, etc. they also all said "it sounds like they just want you to train him"...I get that he needs to learn to listen to us as well but after 6 weeks with them he won't even listen to us INSIDE of our house (he's been home almost two weeks now And I'm extremely strict with the schedule they gave). On "go home" day the trainer told us he was exhausted from playing and when our dog made multiple mistakes he kept blaming it on how tired our dog was. We picked him up at noon so We weren't sure why he was so worn out by them. We definitely figured out why they did that the next day! When I told the owner this she called me a liar saying he wasn't playing that day and she checked her security footage. I literally have videos (because I taped the entire go home session) of the trainer telling us he just got him from playing and videos of the trainer telling us "he's making more mistakes right now because he's so tired". She tried to tell me he was tired from his bath and seeing us lol. I would absolutely not recommend this company and we are currently filing in small claims court to get our money back. For $3,000 we got our dog back barely knowing any commands and sure as hell wont listen to any of them. He jumped on two people the second day we had him home. It's very weird to me that they had him for 42 days but WE supposedly have to train him for 90 days.... and even after 90 days we were told not to take him to high distraction environments like dog parks lol. Unbelievably disappointed. DO NOT use this company. We just want our money back and they just keep saying they'll take him longer and send someone to do a session at our house. I have told them multiple times that I found a different trainer I trust but they have chosen to steal outlet money and how we have to go to court.

She refunded most of my money, but what I was really looking for was help with my dog's protectiveness in the house. We've had a great experience and seen major changes in the behavior of both our dogs. We highly recommend Dog Training Elite. They were always on time, professional, and eager to answer any questions! We work at least 15 minutes a day with our dogs on their training. Some weeks are better than others, but it's surprising how fast they picked everything up! The only issue that we've run into is that the dog collars are very inconsistent when it comes to having a thick coat like our malamutes have. We switched to longer prongs and have ordered some winged tipped prongs to see if it can make better contact with their skin. A lot of the frustration we had with our dogs behavior has completely disappeared. We can't wait to continue working with them at group classes.

He pulled so hard that one time he pulled me down, and I broke my elbow. Not good! Other than those issues, he's a great dog! Just needed some behavioral help. Champie had 2 prior trainers before Evan came into our home and our lives. Evan worked magic with Champie and with me! He was firm, yet friendly. Champie is no longer the alpha in the house and quickly learned he was no longer in charge! Champie is now tolerant of new people coming to our house, and almost friendly. He is no longer aggressive when another dog walks by, and taking him for a walk is actually fun -- no more pulling. I never imagined he'd be able to accomplish not pulling on a leash, but Evan was very patient with him and me! I would highly recommend Evan for all your dog training needs -- He's the BEST!
