There are plenty of concessions available. The home games are VERY family-friendly. The main jumbotron is on the south end of the pitch, where the home team's boosters beat drums, sing songs and lead chants in support of the team. The home games are a lot of fun. They're even more fun at this moment, because the team is very good. The game against Houston Dynamo on July 3 put the team back into a virtual tie for first place in the Western Conference. And the post-game fireworks, during which they let the fans onto the pitch, were terrific. Real Salt Lake is Utah's only professional football team and its games are well worth attending.

They are always so very packed and there are a lot of passionate fans. The beers usually cost around $15. But this is normal for any type of event in Salt Lake. They have many food, options and activities outside the stadium while you wait or in between for halftime. The tickets are pretty cheap and if you have a last-minute plan, you can get some. I would recommend going to if you have not been and buy some cheap tickets. The views are great, no matter where you sit.

We didn't have a ton of trouble with the parking situation most recently, but that was also because there wasn't full attendance at the basketball game we attended. I've struggled a lot to find parking in the past for more popular events. I would highly recommend taking the Trax if you can park somewhere else, especially for the more popular events here. The food here is EXPENSIVE, which obviously is going to happen at a place like this. We spent almost $35 on a couple waters, a fountain drink, nachos, and a pretzel. Their fountain drinks alone are like $6 each. We thought the nachos were your classic cheese sauce drenched chips, but they just handed us a bag of tortilla chips and a half filled container of cheese sauce. I guess they probably do this so they don't get soggy? It definitely wasn't enough cheese though. I'd be interested to come back on a slower day, because it was difficult to be in charge of kids here during a very crowded, overstimulating, busy weekend. We came here for a birthday party on a Saturday afternoon and all of the kids were given a card to swipe on all the games. The points you won were automatically uploaded to the card. I was so nostalgic for when you used to get actual paper tickets at the arcade! This is not the case here, and probably most other places nowadays. The staff was friendly and the arcade itself was much cleaner than I was expecting. Some of the games weren't working and there wasn't any signage communicating that. The group of kids I was with LOVED the merry go round and the little rides catered to the smaller kiddos. Those games obviously don't accrue any points, but they did win some points and were able to pick up some prizes at the end. If you get overstimulated easily (like myself), this place probably isn't for you - lots of noises, lights, bright colors and carpeting. Night Lights hosts a lantern event at the Utah Motorsports Campus (UMC) three times a year. It's about a 45 min drive from SLC. The tickets sell out fast so I would recommend getting on the waitlist as soon as you know you're going to go. https://www.nightlightsevent.com/utah Pro Tip: If you're going to attend this event, keep in mind the following things. -Bring portable outdoor chairs and blankets. It's going to be a bit of a wait before the lanterns launch and you'll need to pick a spot in the crowd to set up a mini camp. Outside food and drinks are not allowed but they do have food trucks and s'mores kits onsite. -Group Setting. It's better to attend this event in a group (2+ or more) if you plan on lighting the lanterns. It's possible to light it yourself but it's quite a challenge if there are strong winds. -Dress accordingly to the weather and bring insect repellent. Depending on the area, there could be swarms of mosquitos and gnats. It will start off hot in the day but can get colder throughout the night. Some people will bring outdoor blankets. -Arrive early. Plan to arrive two hours early before the lanterns are lit up. This allows you to pick a spot to camp and get dinner from the various food trucks. -Central Location. When setting up camp, I would reccomend being somewhere in the middle of the lantern lighting area to maximize light impact. If you're located on the edges, then your pictures won't turn out as well in comparison to being in the middle. Even though your pictures will turn out better, you're also more at risk of breathing in the fire pit smoke and getting hit by the lanterns that are released by other groups. TL;DR (Beware) Central location = Better pictures, greater risk of breathing in black smoke and getting hit by fire-lit lanterns. -Dirty and Black Smoke. For those with asthma or sensitivity to smoke, I would highly recommend to skip this event. Night Lights sell "s'mores kits" which comes with a fire pit, a bag of marshmallows, box of Graham crackers, and skewers. These fire pits are fun BUT cause a lot of smoke in the area and can make it hard to breathe for some people. (See attached picture) -Allow the lantern to completely fill up with air before letting it go. There were soooo many people who released their lanterns too early and the lanterns ended up floating on the ground and almost burning people. I'm pretty certain some people may have actually gotten burnt but fortunately my group didn't get impacted and there was medical staff on-site. Overall, the pictures are memorable and the event turned out fun. I would recommend attending it at least once in your lifetime. Would you go? Let me know.
