Rare is a season like the one the Utah Jazz just had. Let's take a minute and give it up to them for the incredible work they put into the '17-18 campaign and for making it to the second round of the playoffs when everyone had basically written them off just a few months prior. Things were looking bleak in January, but I think we all learned a lot about perseverance, believing in yourself, and just going out there and playing as a team. Ya, there are some corny motivational posters to be had, but I mean it -- I was really fired up about them. I was able to attend a couple of games this season, and it was a night and day experience. I remember losing to the T-Wolves early in the season and thinking that the prophecies were correct, that they would struggle all year after Hayward went wayward and didn't stayward. The team didn't play particularly well and it was an L. Then, later in the season, I watched as the now hot as fire Jazz went out in those new red/orange/yellow uniforms and completely dismantled the reigning league champs by 30 points. Donovan Mitchell (whoever drafted this rook is a b-ball genius) was electric and the whole team just dominated from the jump. The Jazz are good. Really good. Time will tell how the story plays out. Who stays, who goes, how the money changes things and what help they get in order to make a better run of it next year. But take note, they're here to compete. Quin's crew put on a heck of a show this year, and it was a fun ride!

Thursday, December 8th, 2016: Utah Jazz hat

To be honest, I'm from the SF Bay Area, so I'm a Golden State Warriors fan. Luckily, I was in Salt Lake when they were playing the Utah Jazz, so the roommate and I decided to attend our first away game. We went to the Thursday, December 8th game at 7pm. I must say, ticket prices were way more reasonable than at home. Granted when comparing the prices of other games to this one, they were about double that of other games. Still, we got to sit in what's equivalent to sideline club for less than $200 per ticket. And that's including a weird $75 transaction fee. That's about the price of sitting behind the basket in the lowers at home. When we entered the arena, we were given a Utah Jazz hat, which was nice. I love free schwag. (Though I'm not sure what I'll ever do with this hat.) The game was fun to watch and the Jazz made bit of a comeback in the second half. It got a little nerve-wracking, but in the end the Warriors won, so I was happy. Thank you Utah Jazz for my first away game. It was definitely a good time!

Great basketball team, decent stadium. We picked up tickets right before playoffs, but we knew jazz would make it. A stubhub rep helped us find a great value. We had vip tickets so we had special gate entry with no line and access to the vip lounge food and drink. We opted against alcohol, even though some beer/wine is free. The food in the lounge is spread out all over. There was gross pizza, An area where the fish and chips had run out, Delicious charcuterie and cheeses, Delicious barbecue, And a carving station for prime rib. The bbq and prime rib were great, as well as The meats and cheeses. Everything else sucked. They did have a snack station though where you can scoop your own popcorn and nuts and a salad bar which looked decent. My favorite stop was the warm homemade cookies with ice cream in between And then rolled in sprinkles. Yesssss The game was unbelievable. Jazz are amazing. The stadium is weird though. There are no aisles and no Space near the floor for the cheerleaders or the dj or anyone trying to get to their seats. If you arrive late and you're courtside, you have to wait in the tunnel for a long time out before you are allowed to go to your seat because you have to walk along the court!!! There is a season ticket holder extra vip lounge that I did not get to experience. But you could see about 100 people going the other way during half time. The food at halftime doesn't get replenished and at the end of the game it's basically gone. The bartender I went to was either deaf AF or didn't care for his job at all. He was extremely unenthusiastic about serving me a club soda. Strange because Utah is full of Mormons who typically don't drink, so what's the big deal about ordering a club soda?!?! There is a small team shop near the vip entrance with limited items for sale. The DJ did a great job with music. The dancers were entertaining. He crowd vibe was a little less than desirable which is weird because the jazz are great!!!! Bathrooms are clean in the vip lounge but they have limited stalls and one as out of paper. So check before you sit! Parking is easy. There is so much available near the stadium in lots and garages. We parked for $10 and walked 2.5 blocks. Not bad!

We are long time Jazz fans, and we have seen the Jazz play in ATL, CHA and Dallas and I must say there is nothing like watching an NBA game in UT. They know how to get the fans involved and really make you feel like you know the players. The crowd energy and enthusiasm is awesome and the Jazz are always a class act on and off the court.

Bulls deserved the win tonight. Jazz, the sneaks and tricks will only get you so far. Play! Show us the real skills.

The Utah Jazz may not be the best in the west, but as a local, I just have to support them. Home games are always full of fun and excitement. It's often said that our arena is one of the loudest, and I can proudly say that I contribute to this. The Jazz always put up a great fight with the greatest teams, and their future is looking bright. I only wish they'd get a new choreographer for the Jazz dancers. Their moves are seriously so reminiscent of high school dance and drill teams. They're great dancers, but not at the same level of excitement and appeal of other NBA teams.

The Jazz have been my favorite team ever since I moved to Utah. It really makes me happy to finally see them become good again and get to the playoffs. I hope that they're competitive. And the Millers, how cool are they to put this franchise into a trust so that the Jazz will stay here in Utah forever. There are some cool people that live here!

I'm such a homer of the Utah Jazz that I'd have given them 5 stars even during last years last place finish in the Western Conference. And although I may not be a loud fan...I am one of their most "elite" fans in that I follow them like a psychotic ex lover might follow an ex. Hmmm, being "elite" doesn't sound so cool anymore. Go Jazz Go!

There are plenty of concessions available. The home games are VERY family-friendly. The main jumbotron is on the south end of the pitch, where the home team's boosters beat drums, sing songs and lead chants in support of the team. The home games are a lot of fun. They're even more fun at this moment, because the team is very good. The game against Houston Dynamo on July 3 put the team back into a virtual tie for first place in the Western Conference. And the post-game fireworks, during which they let the fans onto the pitch, were terrific. Real Salt Lake is Utah's only professional football team and its games are well worth attending.

When she showed them her ticket and pointed out her belongings were still sitting next to her seat the woman replied "she didn't care. Find somewhere else to sit". My daughter's friend went to get security only to be told "there was nothing he could do". They showed him their tickets and even the people around them telling the security guard "Louis" that my daughter and her friends were sitting there. He told them they needed to leave or be escorted out. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Oh it gets worse! After standing at the top of the stadium in the 97° heat for a good portion of the game, my daughter and her friends decided to go buy another drink. (Who would take their standing seats). While standing in line, my daughter's friend PASSES OUT AND HITS HIS HEAD ON THE CONCRETE. Look it up! There is an incident report. The police and ambulance came. Heat exhaustion really? Could that be from STANDING AT THE TOP OF THE STADIUM FOR SO LONG? Did I mention my daughter and her friends were separated from the adult in their group because my daughter's friend had on the opposing team's jersey? What kind of shit show is this? My daughter is traumatized and said she never wants to go to another REAL game ever again. It was awful.
