Trustworthy, fast, and affordable…read more My resonator rusted through and broke off from the muffler ('09 Nissan Versa). It was making a pretty terrible noise, and I don't even know what kind of fumes were being emitted. I knew it was probably not going to be a cheap fix and felt pretty dreadful about it. We always do our research on car maintenance and usually have a ball park idea of how much things SHOULD cost. The guys at Freeway were straight forward with us and their prices matched up with what our internet research showed. They let us know we would eventually have to replace the exhaust parts, and it would be more expensive. However, they offered us a more affordable (but short term) solution to weld the pipes together. They gave us a quote and followed through on that quote with no surprise fees. We also got an oil change from Freeway while our car was getting fixed. They did all of this in a day! I hate to say this, but as a woman, I hate dealing with most mechanic shops. The past few I have been to have tried to rip me off, and it gets pretty old and is disheartening. I'm happy to find a place I can trust. I will likely be returning here to get my oil changed and other car maintenance.

Was called to discuss repairs before anything was done and given upfront prices, no pressure to accept/decline services and things were explained in a way I could understand. Completed oil change, front and rear brakes/rotors with brake flush. Prices seemed fair and competitive or better than a dealership that tries to tag on every little thing. Costco discount program was honored and service was quick for pickup/dropoff. Given an oil change discount keycard and car was pulled up for me by them at pickup. I'll be back!

They pulled my car up near the front door when finished, held the building door open for me and opened my car door!! Not sure if they do that for everyone or all the time. I called and got a wonderful reception and offer to get a diagnosis and if the repairs are done in shop, the diagnostic fee is included in repairs. They were very friendly very communicative, seemed very honest and interested in making sure that you had a great experience. I was able to hang out in the shop office while they looked at my car and tried to figure out what was going on. It was a very nice experience, a lot different than a lot of other mechanics that I've visited in my lifetime. I would definitely recommend you visit their shop or at least give them a call and see what they might be able to help you with. Very happy and will come back again soon.

Vern at Acutek came to our rescue after we had been at Brakes Plus on Pine Lake. Here's what…read morehappened to us. I don't want anyone else to go through what my wife and I did. Last winter we took our car to Brakes Plus on Pine Lake due to overheating. To make a long story short, we were told our block or manifold was cracked resulting in the need for a rebuilt motor... a $5,000 repair. I was devasted because I didn't have 5 grand lying around! I decided to get a second opinion, hoping a rebuilt motor would be less expensive someplace else. Well, we took the car to Acutek in Lincoln... thinking the worst. A day later, I got a call from Vern at Acutek and the car was fixed. I needed a new thermostat... a $59.00 part versus a $5,000 motor at Brakes Plus. I thank the good Lord for not telling Brakes Plus to replace the motor. We will be customers of Acutek forever. In fact, we had Vern change our transmission filter/fluid and the cost was very wallet friendly.
