Today was my first time visiting Utopia Juice Bar. Typically I go to the gym at night so I didn't realize that they were right next door. Today I saw their sign that Planet fitness members get 15 percent off, so I decided to just stop in. No intent to purchase anything, just check the place out. The girls that were working were so friendly and sweet, they even made me an açaí sample to try since it was my first time, and not only was it cute, but delicious! Found this gem on Yelp when looking for a healthy breakfast option. The staff was all smiles and positive vibes as we entered. We were offered a seat and sample of their famous açaí base. I signed up in the app and rewards program and received a email that I got 20 percent off. Well there wasn't an where to put the promo code!! I called and they said just place your order with me and when you come in we will honor the 20%. Well I told them I'm sick so my boyfriend will be in and left his name! When he arrived they gave him the hardest time!! They were asking for all kinds of proof so I sent it. It was never enough!! They wanted dates and times. They NEVER told me any of this in the phone !! They were soooo rude to him! They told him it's common sense. You don't speak to paying customers that way! He is always a great tipper also. She took forever to take my order and kept turning around and talking to the person next to me in line and ignored me. And she kept pushing me to buy a drink I didn't want, I told her I'm staying away from root vegetables like beets right now, and she wanted to know why, she told me the price was reasonable and I should buy it. I didn't want it. It was very pushy and annoying. She bragged that they have a chef that makes the juices. I mean they were good, but juicing is juicing. The consistency was akin to drinking straight almond milk, so I have to question what quantity of ingredients went into it. The fact that I was the only customer at the time and had to ask them what the hold up was simply added to the frustration. I felt that the people working behind the counter were trying to solve a physics problem, as they seemed almost confused in the process. The interior was nice. Other than that?
