I gotta say - we came here before reading the reviews and glad we hadn't. I thought the yogurt itself was amazing! I had the Pistachio and mixed with Cake Batter and the Pistachio was stellar. Slightly smaller selection of add-ins than a chain would have, but they had huge chunks of Snickers and Reese's cups, and the cookie dough chunks were delicious. we haven't been here in a while and were excited to come back. we got here around 8:30 and the store looked basically closed. All the chairs were up, there was stuff on the couch so we couldn't even sit either, and there was barely any toppings to choose from. it felt like a hostile atmosphere, the guy working didn't even acknowledge us and had airpods in. very unprofessional and rude. My friend and I were just dying for some fro yo! Seriously, almost a complete medical emergency level craving. Then we got pissed discovering that we drove to a spot and discovered they were shut down. She said, I know that there is UU over on Beaverton Hillsdale and thank goodness! We even came in before a mini rush happened so I felt better about getting four sample cups because I wanted to try the vanilla and chocolate (just to make sure) and also I was going to try the cake batter but saw two flavors I had to try instead. I love trying some stuff out that I know will be too overwhelming for me to personally have cup of but want to taste! They had Irish mint and strawberry lemonade which I was not huge on. The sweet gal up front was asking what I thought and so genuine which is so nice. She did not have to ask or make conversation so it is lovely having someone who enjoys her job. And I admitted wanting to jus make sure I wanted a chocolate vanilla swirl and then try out two other flavors I knew I would not get but to try. And I topped with coated animal cookies! If you are looking for a place with bad ice cream and HORRIBLE customer service, then this is the place for you. My daughter and I, walked into the shop seeing a young man and woman sitting on the couch, indecently close. Imagine my shock when we realized the woman on the couch was actually the employee! Not only was the employee rude and had a terrible attitude, she began to sweep behind us as if trying to shoo us out. When being rung up, we told her to have a nice night which she ignored and said, "Yeah," while walking back over to the man present. Never in my life have I experienced such disrespect in trying to accomplish such a simple pleasure like getting my daughter a treat after a hard day. I'm not sure on the relevance on this, but I did notice kids around the same age as the employee sitting around on the couch, but the employee didn't seem to engage with them & they left before we finished. So I think it's safer to not judge that aspect as some of the other reviews have (or take photos as they're clearly very young & photographing employees, especially minors, is beyond creepy.) Employer was friendly enough. It's very dark in there, which was weird, as well as one big couch and not much seating & we chose to eat our yogurt in the car because of that. This place was okay. Decent toppings & I was really happy about the low sugar options as my dietary restrictions make that hard to go out for a sweet treat. I did really wish they had more fresh fruit topping options. This second location opened up in early June and is a great addition to SW Portland. Finally, a good yogurt shop! You might find the Dulce De Leche, Reese's Peanut Butter and cheesecake flavors to be addictive. I know I do. Our soccer team isn't doing so well this season, we've lost a lot of games.Most of our players are brand new, and the girls are still trying to find their rhythm. they have a lot of heart, but after losing several games in a row, and badly, they are a bit down. For a mid season, post blowout ( not our blowout) treat, we took all the girls to UU to get some conciliatory sugar. We played close by at Garden Home Park, which isn't in our neighborhood, so none of us had been in here before, I don't think. There was one young man at the register. He looked a little overwhelmed when we poured in in our sweaty green uniforms and cleats. Well, the girls had that on, the soccer moms and dads didn't so much. Soccer princess and her teammates loved it. Piled up their big cups ( this is to provide maximum room for toppings, right?) with kit kats, m & m's, oreos, fudge, strawberries, sprinkles, etc. etc. Oh, and some yogurt, of course. Princess' cup cost about $4, mine was $3.She had Irish mint and chocolate.I'm not sure that she skipped any toppings, really, except the fruit and tapioca balls. I had red velvet and cake batter, swirled, with some chocolate and vanilla chips.Coach dad had mint also, with oreos. It's yo cream, good stuff. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating for about ten girls and assorted family members. We invaded, sucked up our attitudes and our sugar, and then headed home. I think the outing was successful.The girls were giggling and happy. The dads stared at the tv and the mom's gossipped and swapped stories about our kids. I really am a suburban soccer mom, now, not a Belmont chick anymore. It's sad, but at least there is froyo to console me, too.( and no, I don't drive a minivan yet and you can't make me). Even the flavor signs are boring. Toppings are sub-par relative to most froyo places. Yep, another zengurt shop, but one in the far reaches of SW Portland (AKA, close by). It's the second UU, with the first being in Lake Oswego. However, the crowd here is probably a different one. I don't think anyone would try to bring their tiny dog inside or anything like that. As for the yogurt, it's good. You dispense it yourself so you can come up with whatever flavor combos you'd like with what's available. Add on toppings at the register, too. They sold me a gift card, which I assumed had been loaded with the money I gave them. I went there with the person I gave the gift card to and it turned out there was no money on the card. I showed them the receipt for the gift card and the guy there said that there was nothing they could do about it. He would not tell us when the manager would be in and said that the manager wouldn't be able to do anything about it either. They basically just ripped me off. The employee was overall rude and completely lacking empathy or any sense of what customer service should look like. Not a horrible frozen yogurt spot, but I've definitely been to better places. Was disappointed by the almond milk flavor. I don't even know why it's on display, big let down for folks that have dairy issues. Very bland. Other flavors were pretty good though, including Irish mint & chocolate. Underrated. When I go here, it's not busy and quiet enough to stop by, eat some yogurt and use the wifi. Just off of hwy 10 and in a not so busy area. I've gone in a few times now after school and the guy there always has the TV blasting with movies that are too violent. The first time I went in the TV was blasting and no one was behind the counter. My four year old was covering her ears and saying that the movie was scaring her. When the guy finally came out from the back I asked him to change the movie because my four year was scared. He rolled his eyes at me and seemed really annoyed with my request. Finally he changed it to classical music. My other visits were very similar with a very loud movie playing and my kids clued to the TV with a movie that I found to be inappropriate. As I looked around all the kids were glued to the TV. No one was talking to each other and even if you wanted to talk to someone you would have to yell over the very loud TV. In general, it was hard to have a conversation with my kids because they were so drawn to the TV!!! As far as the yogurt goes it's mehhhh. They seem to have the same boring flavors. Good place to grab frozen yogurt if you lived/are in the neighborhood. Toppings are plenty to choose from and I love the diced Mangos. Plenty chairs to sit on and great place to chit chat. The only thing that I kinda dislike, not enough of sour froyo offers. When were there, they just have Plain and Raspberry. Nice place, cool interior, great frozen yogurt flavors (Cookies n Cream, anyone?). I like that they have a "tart" flavor and fresh fruit toppings as an option. The containers are large but you control how much you put it there - same thing with the toppings, which include the usual Oreos, M&Ms etc. as well as fresh fruit. Yum Yum Yum.
