    California sushi burrito
    Mei B.

Really good sushi burritos (sorry for the blurry pics I was rushing to devour them) I got the spicy salmon & California burritos and omg they made my night. My boyfriend picked the order up for me and he can confirm that the service is great!

    Poke Bowl. The best order!!

The best poke I've had in ages. So fresh and flavorful. Fish is fresh, rice is well seasoned, and there are tons of flavorful and fresh toppings to choose from. I love the kani salad & ogo seaweed, and next time I'll be getting extra of both. Takeout is fast and easy on their website.

    Authentic. Unsweetened.

3:30 Monday afternoon. Just me. Prompt service, but no rush. You have a choice--poke bowl or sushi burrito in seaweed--and I chose the latter. "The Vegi" is made with cukes, edamame, seaweed salad, tofu, avo, raw kale, and mango dressing with sesame seeds and rice. It looked and tasted fresh and the balance of flavors was perfect. Authentic unsweetened Japanese green tea in the cooler, too, a refreshing complement. Definitely coming back!

Overall taste of the poke here is decent/ok. I was really excited to try it because this is the first poke-dedicated spot in Western Mass (at least one that I've encountered). Pros: a great variety of toppings/sauces, good sushi rice, friendly staff, decent prices, clean space Cons: protein (ex:tuna) was too chunky/largely cut (tip: please cut it up smaller), ingredients were not labeled (tip: for new poke consumers, it is helpful to have names of the ingredients for the consumer to be aware of), bubble tea was $4 but not filled up all the way Insight: - bubble tea is made from powder - avocado is $1 extra - extra protein is $2 extra - there is seating available for dine-in - there is street parking

Fresh fish, fair prices, and customizable options make this a very solid lunch spot. A welcome addition to Florence! During my first visit there I ordered a salmon burrito with avocado and lots of goodies like seaweed and crunchies with a wasabi mayo sauce. It was delicious, fast, and quite filling. The ambiance isn't very fancy, so I won't recommend this place for a date night, but I'll certainly be back to get my sushi burrito fix next time I'm in Florence.

As an avid poke lover, I was very glad to discover UYA in the Northampton area. Being the only dedicated poke restaurant in the area, I held the bowl to high standards, and it met them. Yellowtail, though costing a bit extra, made an already great poke bowl even better. I'd highly recommend UYA if you're looking for good poke, and I would definitely come here over any other (current) poke offering in the area. 4 stars as ordering could be a bit easier (each offering could be labeled as I've seen at other poke restaurants), and the bubble tea was merely adequate. But if you're coming here for the poke itself, it's fantastic.

Honeydew Bubble Tea - extremely lackluster
    Sasha R.

This is a pretty typical poke place and certainly decent. But there were several details that knocked down my rating to 3 stars. Most importantly, the bubble tea was really lacking. I got the honeydew flavor and was very watery and not very flavorful. And the tapioca had a very strange consistency, much different than every other bubble tea place I've been to. They were a bit skimpy on the protein (I ordered salmon). And the crab meat salad was spicy which I was not expecting. One more very minor thing is that they didn't ask before putting sesame seeds on top. I'm just saying it would have been super easy to ask. The final issue is the lack of sustainability. They use a paper bowl to mix the protein, sauces, and mix-ins for every poke bowl they make. They then throw that away and transfer it into a plastic bowl which they serve it in with the rice. They could easily use a metal bowl for mixing instead of creating two bowls worth of waste for every bowl they serve. Additionally, like most poke places, they use plastic to-go bowls even when you are planning to eat it at the restaurant. This was very frustrating to me.

Perfect perfect perfect. Best poke in western MA. None of this local poke was cutting it for me. I'm spoiled and have had the best of the best in Hawaii on Oahu and Big Island. Iya's bowls are too spicy and the wrong ingredients. Kisara's are boring and chewy. Both places that have poke in the area were a huge disappointment...but UYA?! This is the place. Thank you!!! I love their staff too! Some tips for them to make it better? Dice the jalapeños, extra sesame seeds, a ponzu sauce, try to pre mix a traditional Hawaiian ahi, and yellowtail options. Those are my two cents :). I love UYA!!

My new Happy Place-Poke Bowl: sushi rice with tuna, cukes, diced mango, avocado, crab salad, pickled ginger and daikon

My new Happy Place--Uya in Florence--a kind of Japanese Subway Sandwiches. I did a "do your own" Poke Bowl: sushi rice with sashimi tuna, mixed with cukes, diced mango, avocado, topped with crab salad, pickled ginger, pickled daikon and toasted sesame seeds with "house sauce" -- a delicate soy/ginger and something.

"Poke It Your Way" -- build your own poke bowl or sushi burrito.

Quick, casual, and delicious. Traditional Poke as well as options for the non-seafood-inclined, including vegetarian or vegan. Choose from Uya's Signature Poke bowls or design your own Poke bowl or sushi burrito. I like that you can choose your base: rice (white/brown), mixed greens, sushi wrap, soy paper, etc. Great tasty and healthy options too. Can't wait to go back! (Apple Pay and other mobile payment options are accepted which is handy for those on the go.)

    Wow was this excellent!

Wow... had never been in here. Just got a Shrimp Tempura sushi burrito. An explosion of flavors and textures. Hard to figure out how to eat it (resorted to knife and fork), but it's fantastic.

Really good food, sweet people, and great location. I just wish they used paper-based bowls instead of plastic.

I loved the taro tea and the poke bowl. The only thing I would say that was negative is they don't give enough raw fish in the two (2) scoops it comes with (they're tiny), so I was forced to pay for an extra scoop of raw fish to make it plentiful. Also, avocado shouldn't be an extra $1-$1.50 charge as it's supposed to be a core component of a poke bowl. Holy Poke should consider that it's competitors all offer a larger quantity of raw fish and avocado for free, which gives other a leg up on them. That said, the customer service was great, the place was very clean and nice looking and everything was fresh and incredibly delicious!!!

Sometimes, it can be inconsistent depending on who was packing up the order but I still enjoy it nonetheless. I do like their span misubi, its not too saly but I think the spam is like a little thin for the portion of rice. I have tried thier other appetizers like the gyoza, tsunami fries which are good when they're freshly made but perhaps a little dry at other times. Milk teas are okay, I think it's because it's powder flavor tea, its not my favorite. Service: Staff is friendly and quick on getting your order together. Ambiance: It's a much smaller place with perhaps 6 seatings? It's cute inside but I wouldn't hang out for too long. I ordered the $13 polk bowl, which consisted of white rice, cucumbers, seafood salad, shrimp, cucumber, and a variety of different sauces, including a ginger sauce. This bowl was spot on delicious! This was sushi in a bowl, for less money! All the different flavors just popped. Every ingredient was fresh. I never had a poke bowl before, but boy I could have this once a week. This is a newer location in Avon. The place is spotless. The restrooms are spotless. Now let me tell you about the young man who prepared my polk bowl. Since I told him I never had one, this young man took the time to review the menu with me. After I made my choice, he explained to me through each ingredient that he was putting into the bowl. I also ordered one of those sodas that you punch the top down and a marble goes into the soda, anyway you have to see it to believe it. He showed me exactly how to open the soda, which was a lot of fun. This young man was so respectful, and I think he was excited as I was about me being in there and tasting a poke bowl for the first time. Poke Brothers is only 7 miles for me. I will make it a habit going forward to stop here and enjoy whether it be lunch or dinner. Sorry for the no photographs, my phone was at Verizon getting traded in for this new iPhone 16. I love this thing. If you are in Avon, this would be a solid choice for lunch or dinner. Prices are reasonable, the restaurant is clean as a whistle, and the help, was so impressive. I love this place. This may be my New go to for eats.
