Long but necessary post! Today I ventured out to V Hair Salon in Atlanta, GA. I had a noon appointment with Kristina the owner of the salon. I will start by saying I am a native Washingtonian and when I visit other states, I am skeptical about services not matching my DC expectations. Secondly people from Atlanta and those not from Atlanta warned me about their reputation for poor customer service. However, I like to approach things with an open mind realizing everyone's experience is their own. This was not the case for Katrina and V Hair Salon, customer service was lack luster and piss poor!! Upon my arrival, Kristina greeted me with a hug which I passed off as southern charm cause where I'm from people performing professional services don't hug you. Anywho, I look around the shop which has nail stations and salon chairs set up on the left and on the right side of the wall are 4 tables. There were 2 clients getting facials on two of them when I walked in. I asked Kristina how long she had been in the space and how long she had been in the business. She replied 30 years in business and 10 years in the space. Great to hear she potentially has experience not so great that the place looked like the back room of a forgotten bar in the alley. That should have been enough for me to walk out but, I am trying to be positive. So we sat down and proceeded to go over the nano blading procedure and since I had microblading at Laveda Lash bar in DC 4 years ago, I explained I only needed to touch up faded spaces and add some strokes. Katrina said no problem. Then she proceeded to take pictures for before and after. Afterwards she said alot of clients come in for 1 service and leave getting multiple. She started giving me her sales pitch for a collegan facial and how youthful they make you appear. I explained my medical issues and said I would have to discuss something evasive like that with my physican before proceeding with that type of service. Not to mention, I personally would never have a procedure like that done outside of a medispa. Katrina goes on about how many clients love the results and points out the two women on the table were getting it done. Well la-dee- da and yeah you can miss me with all that. Katrina then tells me to lay down and starts the mapping process. When finished she tells me to look in the mirror. I explain I do not want the Frankenstein boxed brows and I want them light and natural. She assures me the mapping is a directional tool and not final outcome for brows. So she starts on the right brow and halfway through the client beside me asks for more numbing cream for her pain again and Katrina stops to check on her students progress and machine dials then comes back to me. Then a repeat client comes to the door and she gets up to let her in and give her a hug and exchange small talk. Then heads back to me saying how the client loved her collegan facial. Good for her now can we get back to my brows but not before I ask her to wash her hands and change her gloves. At this point lady you doing too much for my liking but we continue. Finally back to my left brow and the phone rings- she takes the call for a man to come in that day to get brows- I wanted to scream to him don't do it! Just when I thought we were done another man walks in asking for a haircut and Kristina says I can do it for you give me a few minutes and at this point I am thinking this lady is doing way too much. You trying to be a hair stylist, esthetician, nail tech, cashier, teacher and business owner. I just wanna get the HELL out of here. So as we finishing up she says I can get a "regular" facial for $100. I do not respond. Mind you the collegan and nano facials start at $899 and up and have to be repeated every 6 months. She then hands me a mirror to look at my bows and I ask her why are they dark and boxy and she replies it will lighten as it heals then walks off. I go to the register thinking she is going to meet me there for my payment but, I look over and she is cutting the man's hair who previously walked in so I walk over to Kristina to ask about my balance and after care instructions. She tells me the balance then says don't get them wet for 7 days and stay out the sun (like they gonna turn into gremlins) then proceeds to cut the man's hair. My advice to potential patrons: 1. Don't get your brows, facial or anything face altering done at a strip mall. 2. Don't let students practice on you. 3. If its cheap it's for a reason. Advice to Katrina: 1. Manage your business and hire professionals for your service offerings. 2. Renovate your space and let clients self select add on services. 3. Open a separate operating space to train/teach students. 4. Provide clients getting procedures after care instructions and take home kit. 5. Stop trying to be a jack of all trades and master of none! read more

I will make my honest and to the point reviews for others to consider. Was introduced to cold plasma and a nano microblading eyebrow. After a month i went back to show Kristina what was done by her niece. 2 different eyebrow was on my face. Kristina after did a good job and was beautiful i must say. BUT my cold plasma was the a waste of money. Suffered the pain and i don't get any results at all done by her niece, Kitty. The dark spot is still there and not an improvement of firmness. Just the same old like before. Kristina says nothing can be done except to go for another different treatment and another cost. I was like being robbed. If you are going for the eyebrows yes to consider but doing face treatments i don't recommend. read more

0/10! THEY DELETE GOOGLE REVIEWS. Listen, I hate leaving bad reviews but this salon deserves it. Poor customer service, salon sanitation and work. I called for a blow dry and made an appointment. You'd expect if this is a hair salon they can blow dry hair? Isn't that why we pay a professional because they know what they're doing? NOPE. They made my hair look like I'm a clown. The lady started pulling my hair and drying it with her fingers. I asked her if she will blow dry it with a brush and she said no she can just flat iron. I said that's not the service I want. The flat iron was very old and honestly did not trust her with ironing my hair after seeing her wash and blow dry it. Very aggressive. She called a colleague to blow dry my hair. She brings out the dirtiest crush with hair all over it and proceeds to start drying it in an unbelievable way. She was literally burning my hair. I decided I did not want to be a victim of having my hair destroyed and spoke up for myself and told her to stop because I knew it would just get worse. I was so angry with how I looked and they styling wasn't getting any better. I looked worse than when I came in there. Also, they use zero hair products to at least protect you hair from heat damage. They wanted to charge me full price for the worst job ever. They did nothing. If I was a stylist I would be too embarrassed to show a client that that is my work. All employees came up to me and demanded I pay full price and started yelling, even wanted to bring the cops if I didn't. I paid and left. Cheap things cost so much more. It's not the money at all, it's the lack of professionalism, customer service, and work they are doing. I have never left a place feeling so angry. It was the worst decision I have made in my life. I came to a place which is dedicated to microblading, though the name of the place is "hair salon" to get my hair colored. I came out with splotchy hair. And all they can respond to it is, I do not have Caucasian hair so it came out like that. First of all, no ethnicity's hair comes out splotchy unless you did something wrong. Second of all, the photo I showed was an Asian person's hair. I tried to give the stylist some empathy because he was under the weather. But why are you even at work, if you have a cold? Are you going to pass that onto your clients? And you don't feel up to it, I rather you postpone my appointment than do a shoddy job. So now I look like an Elsa doll that's been peed on by a dog. If another stylist at another Salon can't fix this, I will have to shave my head. Also, when you go to the salon, you expect to be pampered...but here, they tug on your hair until your head is jerking and rips some hair out. There's other details but I'm not here to make any judgments. Overall, it's a shoddy and unprofessional place to get your hair colored. read more

I scheduled my appointment well in advance. I was less than 10 minutes early so I understand why I waited about five before taking a Seat in the chair. What I don't understand is why the woman who owns the salon, the woman doing my hair had also scheduled to pick up a cake at the same time so halfway through my hair she leaves for about 25 minutes. She told me she charged $100 per hour. It took her exactly if not less than an hour to do my hair. Given that she was gone for about 20 to 25 I definitely didn't feel like things were fair. But of course me being me I still left a $23 tip for about 40 minutes of work she made $143. I hope she appreciates it it just won't happen again. Chaney was the name I think. read more

Service is efficient and nice. I used to have my hair cut here by the lady too. She does a great job but I have a good relationship with another hairstylist so I don't frequent here. Husband and wife team were great. My boyfriend and I both went here for our haircuts recently. I had a nice layered trim done and my boyfriend got a standard fade. The wife did my boyfriend's hair, and he's really happy with how it came out. The husband did my hair and was super quick, really knew what he was doing. He straightened and styled my hair afterwards. Also, I got my eyebrows and upper lip waxed. He was friendly, made good conversation, and professional. Breakdown: $12 men's haircut $25 women's haircut $12 eyebrow and upper lip waxing $49 total We gave $60 and let them keep the change. We really liked the service. This post is relevant to the 3D Mircoblading services ONLY! The post is long but you will NOT regret reading and wishing you will NOT have to go through what my mom and I went through, especially if you live far from this place. The guy who is at the salon is a nice & sweet guy but does not provide the mircoblading services. The owner of the mircoblading is Kristina Dang. She is a sweet lady, but lack communication to her clients and her coworkers. I intiatially came across Kristina's mircoblading school page called "Lovett Beauty School". The pictures on there are wonderful, but are all her models (the people she work on when teaching her class). Her mircoblading services is cheaper compared to other places I've came across and the results are good. 3D Mircoblading is $300.00 include first & second session. I am from North Carolina and although it's a 4 hour drive, my mom & I was willing to make the trip there for the great price and good results since it is permanent makeup. When I first messaged Kristina to set up an appointment, she did let me know she'll be on vacation and her coworker "Holly" will be there. She asked for my number, which she had confirmed I will get a text confirmation of my appointment. Saturday came around and I took my mom to her appointment which was scheduled at 10AM. Holly did not show up until 11AM and there were two other ladies there at 10AM that were there for their 2nd session. One lady said she had an appointment @ 10AM (same time as ours). Holly assisted the two ladies before my mom since the 2nd sessions only were 15 minutes. When it was my mom's turn, Holly did explain that she had no clue she had appointments that day and Kristina did NOT tell her anything (she was basically as clueless as we were). The session took 90 minutes and we went to pay. I handed her the $300.00 cash and waited for a receipt; Holly just thanked us and told us to not come on a weekend for the 2nd session or "the owner-Kristina" will charger a $50.00 fee. I asked her for a receipt and she said they did not give receipts. ( I was already worried b/c the confusions in the mornings and no receipt.) 4 weeks later and I message Kristina (two weeks in advice) to schedule an appointment for my mom's second session. We had scheduled it on a Wednesday to avoid paying the $50.00 fee. She responded and confirmed the appointment. So on the 6 weeks, we went back and was told by the guy at the salon that no one was going to be there. He said Kristina was teaching a class and Holly was off. Boyyyyy was I pissed b/c she had confirmed my appointment with me and we missed work for nothing!!!! I called her several times, no pick up and found her phone number on her Lovette Beauty School. She did return my call and the whole time while I explained to her that we drove 4 hours there and if their wasn't going to be anyone there, she should have notified me to reschedule. She was very rude over the phone and just literally kept saying, "Ok, ok, ok." She did NOT apologize and said no one was going to be there that day. My mom finally got her 2nd session in but I made sure I confirmed with her the day before we went that someone was going to be there the next day. Well, when we got there, Holly was running late again and there was another lady who had an appointment at the same time but it was her first time. Holly showed up and said Kristina (once again) did not let her know we were coming. So realistically, she would have not showed up if it wasn't for the other lady's first time. Overall, our experience was bad. My mom's eyebrows turned out ok, NOT like the models on her page. Holly was great but she worked for a lousy boss "Kristina Dang" who lacked communication. They are just there for the money so once they get that $300.00, she don't really care if you get the 2nd session or not. I'm never one to write a review but I felt like it was important that I wrote this review since it is PREMANANT makeup and I do NOT wish this awful experience upon anyone. read more

The first time I got my eyebrows done By Kristina Dang I wrote a review, I did not mention a lot of things because I liked the outcome of my eyebrows. During my first visit she had students there that paid her for a class she let one of her students practice on my eyebrows which I felt was ok until she walked off. The student was still doing my eyebrows when I asked her where did Kristina go? She told me that she would be right back. Weird why would you walk off when someone was practicing on my but that was my fault for saying yes but I felt if I said no it would be a problem Before that she had never even asked me if her students could watch or be in the room with me I did not know I was going to be a mule I thought it was a private session but it's not it's so many people in one room when you arrive! but I didn't say anything I just went with the flow Kristina gave me the price of $250 total for my brows when I got to the counter, she charged me $300. I asked could I least receive a discount for helping her with her class, but she said no. She added she would do my touch up for free instead. I later found out that touch ups are free for everyone so I wasn't getting anything just overcharged $50 for no reason of my knowledge So On Sunday May 26,2018 I drove 3 and a half hours to come get a touch up. When I walked in it was packed again the 2 rooms are so small everyone on top of the other and she tells me that they are very busy. Mind you I had already booked an appointment, but she tells me to go eat and then come back in a hour and 15 min I leave and come back early because my sister wanted her nails done as well. I sat and waited until the new time that she gave me, and she says again, please wait I will make your eyebrows so pretty So I sat down again and watched her go outside to talk and laugh with her coworkers. wow yes your so busy after another 30 min I leave because I feel so bad I drove so far Kristina's customers service is horrible I waisted gas and time if your not giving her any money she does not care to help you is what I got out of it and she does not post any of her Darker clients like that only fair skin clients look at her pics I will not be returning there are so many others that can do great brows in this area I have had so many bad experiences at places I never write bad reviews but for me to drive this far with my kids for a touch that I booked with her and be pushed to the side is beyond me! Then Kristina blocks me on Facebook I just really want to know why I was treated like this 7 hour drive in total for nothing now I have to pay to get my eyebrows touched up by someone else. read more

I've been coming to this salon ever since I was a child with my parents. I love the lady who cuts my hair. She does an excellent job at cutting my bangs which I'm extremely picky about. She also dyed my hair once and for the price it turned out beautiful. The place is very clean and the husband wife duo are excellent in doing hair. They really care about their clients. They do not persuade you into getting anything unnecessary to get money from you and will do their best and give advice on how to save money and keep your hair lasting. Great place! read more

I had a terrible experience 5/10/19. I had appt with my son's girlfriend, she had hair color appt & I wanted mani/pedi. We were treated as if we were nothing but in the way. My feet soaked in cold water for almost an hour before someone waited on me & everyone there kept walking past back & forth but didnt seem like they really cared to take care of me. I traveled from upstate NY to Atlanta, GA & in NY I pay $29 for pedi and they take a good hour or more and use several different gels & scrubs, massage & hot towel before applying polish. In GA it was $42 & within 15 minutes they were done never using gels, scrubs, hot towel or much of massage (only on 1 leg). Also for manicure I soaked hands on my legs to combine & rush me through services. Felt very unwanted & unappreciated!! They should work on their customer service which should be priority ONE!! read more

CUSTOMER BEWARE!!! If I could give this place 0 stars I would!!! I came her on 5/11/19 with my boyfriends mom. I wanted to get my hair colored and she wanted a mani/pedi we made an appointment for 3:30 arrived around 3:15. The amount of time my mother n law had to wait was unreal!! She waited over and hour while watching people walk back an fourth and ignore her didn't offer or ask about her water her toes. She felt like they didn't care about the customers. She got a mani/pedi and they didn't the mani in the same chair she got the pedicure in!!! That doesn't even make sense!! I got my hair colored the lady pulled and ripped at my hair hurting my head!! Once she did the color and went to tone it my head and eyes we're burning SOOOO bad I said "uh should it burn" she said "no" I said "ok well it is burning really really bad" she said "close your eyes" and left it on an walked away after washing my hair and styling it my hair was soo yellow and orange looked NOTHING like the picture I showed of what I wanted...finally they got done with my mother n laws nails and she went to the waiting room...while she was waiting for me to be finished 3 people who also waited & waited & then walked out THEN the owner ran after them told them u come back & only then did she take care of them!!
